~Samara~
I was running around a forest. It was so beautiful. I much rather preferred this than the prison I was trapped in. But something about this forest felt familiar. Like I've been or seen this before. I smiled and I smelt the scents from the trees and the dirt on my feet. I slowed down to a walk once I reached my destination. This crystal blue pond in the middle of the forest. I believe it to be enchanted by some spiritual force. It was absolutely beautiful and I could never take my eyes off of it. I then looked towards the tree line, as always, and see the most beautiful wolf. She was a beautiful dirty blond wolf. With brown eyes. We met in the middle of the forest right next to the pond. I pet her head and we laid down, her on top of my stomach and my hands behind my head.
"It's good to see you again. How are you?." I hear her voice and I sigh softly.
'"Awful... I want to leave here but I know if I do I will be killed. There's no escaping this prison." I sighed and she did as well. I've always found her interesting. I will hear her voice, yet she won't move her jaw or anything to speak.
"You'll get out of there soon enough. As for right now, you need to remember your childhood. You say you remember seeing a little boy?" She questions me and I groan. This again.
"Yes. He looks so familiar. Like I knew him at some point." I then see the little boy appear near the tree line. This always happens when I'm trying to remember.
"Could he be a family member?" She got up and sat next to me. My eyes opened quickly. I sat up and I looked towards him. He looked like he was in distress.
He started running towards me.
"Mara!" He ran right through me and I fell backward.
Then I saw it.
"Bubby! Bubby! Help me!" It was a little girl. Who looked just like I did. Screaming for her brother to help her. Someone was carrying her away.
"I love you sissy. I'll come to get you, I promise Samara." He sounded so weak. Like he had been struck down.
"I love you too Bubby! Please hurry Mordikai, please! I'm scared!" The little girl- I screamed. It was me. I was kidnapped from my own home. I do belong somewhere. I hope they're okay. Have they been looking for me? Was everyone else here kidnapped? Will they recognize me if I can get back home?
"Mordikai... My brother... He tried to save me... I need to find him!" I looked at the wolf and she sighed.
"We cannot escape. If we try, then we will get killed. May I try and do something?" I sighed and nodded. I knew what she was trying to do. She would try to enter my body but no matter how much she tried, she wouldn't be able to stay inside. I didn't feel complete without her.
She walked towards me and entered my body. I fell to the ground in pain and cried out. No more than a few seconds later she was propelled from my body.
I woke up in my queen, four-post bed. I sighed quietly and rubbed my face. Another day of torture. I had another of my famous migraines as I woke up from my sleep. These happened at least twice a month. They occurred when the wolf would try to enter my body. But whenever I woke up, I would have this raging migraine that wouldn't go away for hours. I went to the guard that was always outside my room and she already had water and aspirin for me.
"Thank you." I groaned and she sighed.
"What is causing these migraines? That's the third time this month."I looked up and realized she was right. They were occurring more often now. I don't wanna live with this for the rest of my life. Especially every day.
"Do you think they'll ever stop?" I question, holding my head in pain.
"I'm sure they will at one point." She sighed and left her post. I went back to my room and laid back down. This is going to be a long day.
~Amorelli~
I woke up in Mordikai's arms. I felt safe and comfortable. I felt as though this is where I belong. I want nothing more than to lay with him forever. I wonder if this is how my parents felt.
Crap! My family! I have to get home!
I look towards Mordikai and see he's still asleep. I gently shake him and he jolts awake.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He went full protective mode and I scoffed.
"I'm fine. Mordikai, I need to get home. Or to some saltwater so I won't have to worry about not being able to turn. Please, I need to go soon." I pleaded but he looked sad.

"What's wrong?"
"Promise me something." I nodded and he sat up.
"I promise to take you to the sea when you're healed properly if you promise to come back to me after your shift." My eyes widened. He thought I wouldn't come back to him? He's my mate, why would I not want to come back to him?
"Mordikai, you think I'd leave you? I need you just as much as you need me. I will always come back. Don't forget that." He nodded and I laid my head on his chest.
"Amorelli?"
"Yes, Mordikai?"
"Did you like last night?" I immediately flushed red. I heard and felt his chuckle and I lightly hit him.
"Shush you."
"Well? Did you?"
"Yes..." I mumbled. I heard his laugh and it was absolutely amazing. It was so melodic and I couldn't get enough of it. I sighed contently and looked up at him.
"Did you like last night?" He smiled softly and moved hair out of my face.
"I loved last night. I wouldn't want to do that with anyone else." I snuggled into him more and closed my eyes. A nurse then knocked on the door, seeing us together.
"Come in," I said softly. The nurse smiled at both of us and bowed.
"Alpha, Luna. I am just here to check up on how Miss Luna is healing." I nodded and she lifted up my gown and looked at my stitches, ignoring the fact that my underwear was gone.
"Your stitches look like they are healing nicely. The bruising is still severe. You can go home today if you'd like. However, you'd be bedridden for a few days. A week and a half at most. What would you like to do?" I thought for a moment when I came to a conclusion.
"I'll leave today. No offense, but I would like to smell other things than chemicals." She giggled.
"I completely understand. I get a headache when I enter a freshly cleaned room. I will go get the release forms now so either you or Alpha York can sign." She smiled softly and left the room. I sighed and Mordikai held me close.
"You sure you don't wanna stay an extra night? So they can make sure you're okay?" He sounded worried and I loved it.
"Of course. You said you were going to tend to my every need. Why wouldn't I want to come back?" I sassed him and he turned pale, forgetting what he had told me that last night. I giggled and kissed his cheek.
"If I must. I shall serve your every need and never stop until your needs are fulfilled." He fake bowed and spoke with a very posh accent. I laughed and then clung my chest. That hurt like hell. I groaned in pain and Mordikai immediately went into worry mode. The nurse came back in just in time.
"I heard what happened. Let me check you again to make sure your stitches didn't tear." She walked over to me and handed the clipboard to Mordikai. He didn't start signing until she gave him the okay. Thankfully, none of the stitches had torn my skin, and Mordikai started filling out the forms so I could go home. Once they were signed, they got a wheelchair and carefully put me on. We were then on our way out when one of the guards came running inside.
"Alpha! Wonderful news." It was my personal guard Diesel. He seemed really cool.
"What is it?"
"We found where Amorelli's family is." I smiled wide and became very excited. I can see my family when I heal. Mordikai smiled down at me softly and I smiled widely in return.
"This is wonderful news. Where are they located?" He put his hands on my shoulder and he looked worried.
"Well..."
"Diesel. Tell me now." He sounded so demanding and strict. I liked this side of him.
Well, sometimes.
"They're located near Guam in the Philippine Sea." He rubbed his arm. He didn't tell everything.
"Diesel you know that isn't all. Out with it. Now." Now he was starting to scare me.
"They're near and or inside the Mariana Trench okay!" Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. No life form could possibly live down there.
"That's impossible. How did you find this out?"
"A crab told me." He became sarcastic and sighed. I giggled a bit.
"We sent some people to the sea and we found a few merpeople. We then asked them where Atlantis was and explained we had a mermaid that needed to be brought home. They said Mariana Trench near The Island of Guam was where it was."
"That's impossible Diesel. They can't possibly live in the Mariana's Trench. Life wouldn't be able to function down there. It's too deep and they would certainly get crushed. Are you sure they said that they were near the Mariana Trench?" Mordikai didn't sound like he believed that. I didn't really either.
"That's just what they told me." How bowed and walked away. Mordikai sighed and wheeled me out of the hospital. I was blinded by the sun when I saw Zinniah running up to me. She looked relieved but panicked.
"Zinniah, are you alright?" She stopped in front of me and panted for a bit before she answered.
"I was talking... With the King and Queen... We might have... Figured out where we came from." She finally stopped and fell to her knees. How long was she running for? I rubbed her back and she slowly but surely started to be able to breathe correctly. I looked up at Mordikai and he seemed ecstatic. He'll finally be reunited with his sister soon enough. She stood up and sighed.
"That's great news Zinniah. But, how long were you running for?" She groaned.
"About fifteen minutes. At first, I thought I could shift into something and run here but I didn't because I thought it was closer than what the guards said. And I didn't feel like waiting until you got home to see you." I nodded and we then made our way to the car.
"Well, no need to run anymore. I'm going by car. Come with us." She nodded and when we got into the limo, she collapsed on the other side of the seats and sighed happily. I giggled while Mordikai helped carefully put me in my seat. He then got on his side and told the driver to go. We started making our way home.
Home. I liked the sound of that.
"Wait, if you were born in the sea, then why do you need to go back before your eighteenth birthday? I mean, you should be born as a mermaid, right?" I pondered what Mordikai just told me.
"I don't know. But we should ask the elders. I, however, do not want to risk this. When I am healed, we will travel to Guam and I will return to you as soon as possible. Zinniah will be going with me. But you will wait somewhere for her to come back to the surface. She can only stay in that form for a certain period of time."
"You're lucky I own a vacation home over there." Mordikai sighed and I smiled softly towards him.
"Just get me home now, please. I would like to lie in bed all day and have you serve my every need." He sighed and Zinniah laughed.
"We need to discuss where you guys were located. Then we can make a plan on how to get everyone out and return everyone home." Mordikai said sternly. I knew this was a very important topic for him. Considering that he lost his sister trying to protect her, he feels a very large amount of guilt because he feels like it was his fault.
"I just hope we can get this all over with before the Boss tries looking for us, but after I return home." We sat in the car and made our way home. Hopefully, everything works out well.
