The professor who saw the state Eric was in gave an order.
The Professor: “take the shot now and don’t forget to use this” the professor brought out new set of bullets to which the snipers looked upon with confusion.
A sniper: “sir I thought you wanted him alive but these…”
The professor: “X-1’s healing factor I beyond what you can imagine, the serum pushed it way past the limit. Even if, you blow him up as long as his brain remains intact, he’ll live at most he’ll go unconscious for a bit, now take the shot.”
The snipers hesitated no more and loaded the new bullet and took aim, *bang* gunshots were heard soon followed by *boom* two explosions that sent the distracted Eric flying with a huge hole in his torso alongside a missing arm.
Elise seeing this wanted to rush to Eric’s side but was held back by Agent Michaels. Valarie was distracted for a bit as well when she heard the explosives, and saw the state Eric was in but she could offer no aid as she was in a pickle herself.
The professor looked down at the scene with his binoculars before speaking into a walking talkie.
The Professor: “retrieve X-1”
*Kaboom!!* a loud explosion rang through the ears of everyone in the town, as the looked up a flash was seen as the barrier the professor had put up was taken down. The professor eyes widened as he saw this before barking into his walkie talkie.

The Professor: “Dammit! Hurry retrieve the body and anything that’s important we’re leaving.”
Meanwhile, whilst the professor was panicking, Agent Michaels had a wide grin on his face as he spoke;
Agent Michaels: “they are here.”
Four of the professor’s men had come around Eric and where about to take him when they saw the amazing sight, a new hand was growing out in seconds and all the organs which were destroyed were being regrown.
Sure, they had a lot off demi-humans in captivity with a whole slew of abilities and Lupa even had similar abilities with this guy but still this was the first time they saw something like this with their own eyes and were stunned.
In a few seconds, Eric had completely healed. The men at this point didn’t want to take a step further as they were afraid, he would wake up suddenly and send them all to meet the ferry man.
Soldier: “guys what are you afraid of, the professor said his healing factor consumes his energy. He just regrew vital organs alongside a limb he probably isn’t going to wake up for a day”
Other soldier: “oh yeah you’re right I was scared for no reason.”
After comforting themselves they moved in to carry Eric away, but at this moment Eric grabbed one of them by the throat they were prepared to attack but one look at his eyes and they took a step back.
At that moment an instinct hidden deep within them came to the surface. It was the exact same feeling one had when one came before a wild beast like a lion or tiger, they were frozen in fear.
Eric released his claws at the moment killing the man in the instant, the blood splattering aloud the others to wake up from their stunned state but they were still too slow. Eric went through them in an instant before looking to the source of the gunshots.
The professor at this moment understood, Eric had definitely been overcome by rage but not to the point where he lost his senses. Eric had faked that because he was unable to determine where he actually was but with the earlier gunshots, he know had a location.
Eric wasted no time and charged straight for the building;
The Professor: “shoot him, aim for the head I don’t care if you kill him just do it!”
The professor barked out his orders, at that moment the thought of keeping Eric alive had completely disappeared from his head. The image of Eric actually dedicating his life to hunt him down and the mere thought was enough to scare him.
Looking at Eric he saw a amazing sight, relying on his animalistic senses he was dodging the bullets who exploded as the made contact causing explosions to happen all around him while he remained unscathed.
The Professor: “Lupa stop him” he ordered through an earpiece before turning to the others, “carry all we can to the helicopter, we are leaving this place before the E.V.O. get here”
