How About Round 2

*thud*thud*The thunderous sound of footsteps resound as the Demi-Humans run through the halls looking for the exit with Agent Michaels, Elise and Rose right behind them. The Demi-Humans released their abilities taking out any guards that dared to stand in their way.

Agent Michaels: “stay close, I have a feeling something bad is going to happen.” He whispered to Elise.

Elise: “what?” she turned to him confused.

Agent Michaels began to slow down, causing Elise who was by him to slow down as well while holding on to Rose tightly. After making sure the Demi-Humans weren’t paying attention to them and were to far to hear what they were saying, Agent Michaels continued.

Agent Michaels: “this people have been captured by the professor for god knows how long, the soldiers should know what they are doing is useless but they keep coming why is that?”

Elise’s eyes widened as she realized what he said made sense, if these people have been controlling these Demi-Humans for years and understand their abilities then how they have been rushing over starts to seem suspicious.

Agent Michaels: “The way they keep rushing over is like they are trying to prevent the Demi-Humans from thinking this escape is too easy. I believe finding the exit might be easy but leaving here on the other hand is a whole other story.”

Elise: she broke out in cold sweat as the image of what might be waiting for them appeared in her mind, “then what should we do?” she questioned

Agent Michaels: “stick with me, when we get there, the will definitely be chaos and that will be our opportunity to escape. Don’t worry I won’t let anything bad happen to you and your daughter.”

Elise nodded as they followed behind the Demi-Humans. They soon arrived before the entrance where soldiers were waiting with their guns pointed at them, the soldiers didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger. They managed to take down four of the Demi-Humans before the Demi-Humans retaliated.

Agent Michaels pulled Elise and Rose behind a corner watching the battle without the slightest intention to take part in the battle, Elise covered Rose mouth to prevent her from drawing their attention. In but a few minutes the Demi-Humans had won by a landslide.

They stood taking in their victory, before the lead Demi-Human powered down and look towards the exit which was wide open. Only God knew how long they had waited for freedom and now there it was, with no one to stop them.

The lead Demi-Human took a few steps and was soon outside, he stood still basking in his freedom. He turned to face the other Demi-Humans with a smile but with a bang he was down with a gaping hole in the middle of his head.

There was silence, absolute silence before they broke out let out screams of rage and charged out all at once.

Agent Michaels: “Now! Stay close, don’t fall behind!”

Agent Michaels pulled her staying in the middle of Demi-Humans as they rushed out. As they stepped out the sounds of gunshots were heard, Agent Michaels pulled Elise and Rose to side avoiding the shots.

Agent Michaels: “stay low!”

On the other side; the professor stood by the side of two snipers his face emotionless as he watched the events unfold.

Professor: “take them all down, I don’t want a single one of them escaping.”

In response to the Professors order, the snipers continued to press on their triggers taking down the Demi-humans before they could even get close.

In the building Lupa just threw Eric through another wall before jumping through the hole with her claws aimed for Eric’s head, but right before they made contact, two gunshots resounded. Lupa was blasted away by the bullets which had embedded themselves in her side.

Eric turned to look at the source of the gunshots and saw Valarie with two pistols in her hand which still had smoke coming out of the barrel. Valarie placed her guns away as she came closer to Eric.

Valarie: “you alright?” she questioned as she gave Eric a hand, helping him to his feet.

Eric: “*groan* yeah, but that isn’t enough to keep her down”

As though to respond to Eric’s words the bullets fell out of Lupa’s side, as she made her way back to her feet. Lupa turned to face them and let out a beastly roar, Eric straightened his back walking before Valarie. He proceeded to rip off the shirt that had already been damaged beyond recognition, then got into his battle stance letting out a roar not willing to be outdone by Lupa.

Valarie behind him had both her pistols aimed at Lupa as well; “how about round 2?”
