Eric: “release her and let them go, I’ll come with you.”
The men went silent when they heard Eric’s proposal all waiting for their boss to decide.
Professor: “alright let the lady go we are only here for him after all.”
The agents agreed letting go of Elise, who run straight into Eric’s arms sobbing, Eric held her tight as he whispered into her ear.
Eric: “shh, everything is going to be okay alright. I’m sorry, sorry for all this if… if I had stayed away this wouldn’t have happened to you. Rose is safe and the agent by me is going to take you to her, she is one of the good guys, you can trust her.”
Elise looked up straight into Eric’s eyes as she heard his words,
Elise: “wait, what no? you have to come with us, Eric I saw those videos, I saw what they do to others like you, you can’t go with them.”
Eric: “I’m sorry”
Those were Eric’s last words to her before he pushed her towards Valarie who was ready and immediately pulled her along as they escaped the scene, While Eric stood there watching everything.
As Eric was watching them leave, an agent had moved forward bringing out a collar and moving at a steady pace ready to put the collar on Eric once more so as to make him easier to transport. The whole world had gone silent as Eric watched Elise disappear from his sight and out of range for the agents, only one sound remained in this dull world.
The sound of the agent’s boots making contact with the ground as he drew ever closer, to Eric the sound of the agent’s boots making contact with the ground was the same as a clock ticking, counting down to an explosion, except he was the bomb.

With the agent but an arm’s length away from Eric he quickly snapped towards the agent and sent his claws to his neck causing the agent to stare at him with the shock completely evident in his eyes as he begun to bleed from his mouth and fall to the ground lifeless.
Professor: “*sigh* X-1, we had a deal.”
Eric: “deal’s off.”
Professor: “very well, remember I want him alive.”
With those words the screen went dark and all the agent began to let loose, gone was the silence that recently inhabited the street and in was the cacophony of noise from the gun which continuously spat out their fire tongues.
Eric rushed the men once more but this time with a bit more sense not rushing blindly like before. He knew their plan, they wanted to tire him out, and with every wound he received his was closer and closer to being worn out.
Sliding, and barely avoiding the bullets coming for him. He managed to reach an agent and swept of his feet before sending him into the agents to disrupt their fire, and with the little breathing room attained, Eric jumped the men before him and began to plow through them. Eric soon realized how tiring it was, he couldn’t take them out as quickly as he planned their armor provided resistance and he required more energy to take their lives. This meant for every life he took; he was closer and closer to being captured.
Eric decided he had done enough damage and it was time to escape but as he looked round he realized he was now surrounded, increasing the intensity at which he got shot and forcing him to keep fighting if he wanted to get out, Eric began to feel hopeless as he understood his situation.
The leader looked at the scene and pulled his walkie talkie up to give orders
Leader: “it’s time let them loose”
With those words, hatches opened up on all the armored cars, with Eric completely oblivious to the fact that his situation had gotten even worse. Eric immediately heard whirring sounds which alarmed him but before he could react chains came from nowhere going through him and causing him to scream out in pain.
Eric was on his knees bleeding with his various wounds which now refused to heal due to his lack of energy. Looking up at the various agents who had surrounded him, Eric could do nothing as his vision began to black out.
Leader: “put the collar on him and bag him up, the professor is waiting.”
He gave out orders as he returned to deliver his report.
In the motel room,
Elise had just arrived and was so happy to see her daughter who rushed to give her a hug, she stayed in that position hugging her daughter and shedding a few tears. The two agents watched the scene in silence before Agent Michaels spoke up.
Agent Michaels: “where is Eric?”
Valarie: “he stayed to fight; I highly doubt he is coming back.”
Elise: “what do you mean you doubt he isn’t coming back, isn’t he a demi…demi”
Agent Michaels: “Demi-human”
Elise: “exactly, that, that means he has powers, right? So why can’t he escape?”
Agent Michaels: “it’s not that easy, the people he is up against are pros in taking on Demi-humans and the fact that they have a comprehensive understanding of his powers and how they work it’s likely he won’t be able to escape anytime soon.”
Elise: “you are the good guys right, he said that, he told me to trust you that you’re the good guys. You’ll help him, right? Right?”
Agent Michaels could only remain silent after that.
