Eric, Agent Michaels and Valerie stood with Rose unbelieving, before them on the T.V was none other than the Professor.
Professor: “hello, and before you ask yes this is being broadcasted on every device in this town. If you are thinking this is going to draw attention from the government causing them to come… well yeah, I wouldn’t cause you see they have no way of finding out what is happening here. I wanted to do this the easy way but we both know that has never worked”
With that the professor brought Elise before the camera, seeing her mother Rose broke out into tears. Valerie moved to comfort her and tried to move her out of the room but she wouldn’t leave. Eric felt his anger rise and his eyes began to glow when he saw the bruised and bleeding Elise on screen.
Professor: “it didn’t have to come to this, trust me it didn’t. This is your last chance, the bar you went to on the night you met the lovely lady here, meet me there you for the lady a fair-trade no. See you soon.”
Eric was pissed as he stepped out of the room, he was going out the apartment when Agent Michaels grabbed his shoulder.
Agent Michaels: “your angry and I get that but going out there without a plan is just plain stupid.”
His words pissed of Eric who turned to face him his eyes still giving of a faint glow
Eric: “then what do you suggest I do just stay here and hope and pray to god that by some miracle he just lets her go? There’s a kid in there who is crying because she just saw her mother bruised and beaten because of me, do you understand, because of me! Their lives would have been better if they never met me, I hurt everyone who gets close to me.”
Agent Michaels: “I understand what you’re going through….” Eric interrupted him

Eric: “do you though? Do you know what it feels like to be experimented on, to be cut open and stitched up of over and over again? Do you know how it feels to see everyone you have ever known die before your eyes, knowing it was all your fault? Do you have any idea how it feels to hold the body of your little sister as she breaths her last, as all the heat leaves her body and you know no matter what you do, you can’t save her… yeah that’s what I thought. I made a promise to a little girl and this time intend to keep it.”
With Eric’s last words he stormed out with Agent Michaels watching his back as Valerie appeared behind him.
Valerie: “What now?”
Agent Michaels: “follow him help him, I’m sure he’ll need it, I have some calls to make.”
Valarie gave her nod as she grabbed her keys heading out just in time to see Eric speeding away in his Truck, she jumped down walking over to something under a cover and pulled it to reveal the bike underneath.
The Professor sat in his seat with his soldier behind him dressed in full combat with his gun at hand. “Sir how sure are you that he is going to come.”
Professor: “I practically raised that boy so trust me when I say that he will come.” The soldier felt weird from the way the professor spoke, he didn’t know why but he felt chills when he stood next to the man. “as for the towns folk if any of them try to leave your free to shoot at will.”
Soldier: “but sir, they are just normal people.”
Professor: “they are indeed normal people, but I am offering them the chance to rise above that, I am giving them the chance to contribute to the greatest cause there is, science. Is there a problem soldier?”
Soldier: “none sir”
Professor: “good oh and do send the lady would you, I’m a man of my word after all.”
Soldier: “yes sir”
The townsfolk went into panic, after watching the broadcast that had hijacked all the devices they attempted to make calls to people outside town only to realize they weren’t able to make any calls to any one outside the place.
Some rushed to the station but the officers had no answers. Some unlucky people had tried to escape the place but were pumped full of holes by the men who had barricaded all the entrances.
They soon realized there was no escape from this place and with that the place had descended to chaos.
Eric had arrived with his truck before the bar where he was to perform the exchange. The outside of the bar was calm forming a contrast with the rest of the city that had descended into chaos, getting out of his truck he took his steps heading into the bar.
In the bar was the familiar bartender with a glass of what seemed to be whiskey on the counter, no one else in sight, he took a few steps arriving right before the bartender who was clearly scared out of his wits and was struggling to stay conscious. Eric moved his attention to the drink.
???: “I thought you deserved on last drink before you come with us.”
Eric turned to the source of the voice. A man in a neat suit was seated with the once empty bar now filled with men in suits all with their guns aimed at him.
Eric: “where is she?”
Suit: “put this on and come with us and you’ll see her.”
Eric looked at the collar and with that he relieved countless memories, closing his eyes he spoke once more.
Eric: “I’ll only ask once more, where is she?”
The suit got angry getting to his feet and slamming his fist on the table, “put on the damn collar you Demi!”
Eric’s eye opened revealing a faint glow as black claws made their way out of his fingertips causing the suit who slammed his fist gulp.
