Eric: “Esther?”
Eric spoke with confusion written all over his face. Valarie followed them jumping out the hole on to the truck before landing by Eric’s side in a pose. Valarie turned to Eric seeing his face then turned to Lupa who now didn’t have the mask covering her face, at this point she was confused as to what the hell was going on.
Eric: “Esther, is that really you? It’s me Eric your brother…” Eric retracted his claws with his eyes turning back to normal as he tried to get his sister to recognize him.
Valarie’s eyes widened in understanding, shifting her eyes between the two of them quickly before the emotions in her eyes changed into confusion as she remembered what she had read in Eric’s files, ‘shouldn’t she be dead’ Valarie thought.
Eric: “Esther it’s me… what did they do to you?” Eric had now come close barely inches away from Lupa before reaching out to touch her face.
Valarie: “Eric no!”
Valarie rushed to Eric as she saw emotions flash through Lupa’s eyes, Before Valarie could get there Lupa grabbed Eric’s hand and snapped it before flinging him away and moving to the side just in time to avoid a wild kick from Valarie.
Agent Michaels who had seen all this was absolutely confused for a moment before he regained his bearings. He rallied up the remaining Demi-humans, getting back in the truck he served as a shield as he backed up with the Demi-Humans sticking to side.
The snipers seeing this reported to the professor.
The professor: “ignore them, we still have him.”
At this moment Valarie was still engaged in hand-to-hand combat against Lupa but she could barely keep up and kept receiving injury after injury while she had only landed a few hits on Lupa.

Eric’s arms had healed but was unable to get up to fight, now that he had realized that Lupa was none other than his sister.
The Professor: “what’s the matter X-1, I thought you were brave and fearless.”
The professor’s voice blared through the speakers all around the facility. The voice caused all others who were still within range to come to a halt as they all recognized the owner of that voice, Eric who heard it lost the confusion in his eyes as they were replaced with unbridled rage.
Eric: “What did you do to my sister you monster?!” Eric screamed as he made it back to his feet. His face once again taking on wolfish features with his eyes glowing and claws in full view.
The Professor: “Monster? Hahaha that is the funniest thing I’ve heard, a monster calling a person a monster.”
Eric: “Tell me!” Eric screamed once more.
Elise who had just reunited with Agent Michaels and the other Demi-Humans looked to Eric. She could feel just how much pain he was in from his voice.
The Professor: “Are you curious?” he teased before continuing.
The day after Eric escaped the facility was damaged beyond repair, with almost all the Demi-Humans escaping with the ones who failed to escape dead, leaving the Professor with nothing.
The professor in a rage began destroying almost everything around him before one of his people walked in.
Professor’s people: “sir, you have to see this”
The Professor: “what?!” he screamed at the guy.
The guy handed out the tablet in his hand which the professor snatched to have a look at what exactly gave this guy so much confidence to walk in here while he was still pissed. Looking down at the screen the professor’s eyes changed from indifference to shock before finally joy.
X-1’s sister who he thought had died after the experiment failed had awoken, unlike her brother who had succeeded in upgrading his Demi-Human gene her body rejected the reagent but unlike the others who died immediately after her healing factor kept her alive which was a nothing short of a miracle.
The professor: “where is she?”
The guy: “In lab 14 sir”
The professor: “take me to her.”
The professor arrived and began to run test on her, he attempted to reinject the reagent into her and failed numerous times but she awoke after each time. Seeing just how powerful her healing factor was The professor continued his experiments but in another direction.
Before he did though remembering her brother’s antics and the amount of damage he caused, he implanted a chip into her head, which wiped away all her previous memories and made her more obedient.
The professor proceeded with his experiments soon after, coating her entire skeletal system with a nearly indestructible metal called Taydenium obtained from a meteorite which led to the birth of Lupa.
Hearing this story Eric took another look at his sister who was still in battle with Valarie who had now gotten her hand on a steel pipe. A wave of guilt overcame Eric as he realized he should have taken his sister out when he escaped, that if he didn’t escape the professor would not have put that chip into her head.
The last words his sister said to him resounded in his head, “You lied to me!”
