That's a lot of information to take in; thought Odin and selected one class randomly to check out what it was

‘Why isn't it showing anything? Can I not read it with my current strength?’

But suddenly his vision became foggy and he saw a person working with weird metallic objects, cylindrical shaped sticks that spewed out blue lights, there was a gigantic metallic creature, objects that can fly at a very fast speed but before he could look more into it, his vision grew back to normal

“What the heck was that? can I do it too?” Odin shouted and asked Ominira in excitement

‘Damn! What a discreet way of saying that I am a country bumpkin.’

He checked out a few more classes and their results were pretty much the same, below 50% chance for advancement.

‘What's the point of giving me so many options when so many of them aren't even suitable'

“Are there any more classes available?” Odin asked using the search function

“Common classes beyond Zen star cluster are not shown as advancement rate is below 1%”

Although Odin could select the correct version of the current classes present in the Zen star cluster, he didn’t want to train in them at all.

‘Perhaps having freedom and knowledge isn’t always a good thing’ thought Odin as he scratched his head in frustration.

Just as he was getting hopeless about his current predicament, a string of runes popped up one after the another, as if waiting for this exact moment.

Odin was pleasantly surprised by the message. He became even more curious about what the path is actually about, so he searched for it in ominira.

Although he didn’t get many answers related to The Wanderer and things given by him like the eye of Veritas and the authority of wisdom, he got a lot more information about other things.

Fuck! I jinxed it… Feeling wronged, Odin asked again

“Give me whatever information you can about classes, path, and power systems in general”

After that instead of the usual runic messages, a lot of information suddenly became imprinted in his memories.

It was much better than him reading and it is almost like a knowledge transfer.

He had a slight headache but after about half an hour, his mind became clear again and he had a rough idea about path and classes.

Although he did not understand the reasons behind it, but for practical purposes he knew what a class basically is.

Class is inherently a method to utilize energy, and use that for different purposes via various abilities.

He also got some very crucial information about the use of different terminology for this.

The most common mistake a lot of people make is having too many abilities, although it does not matter as long as one is advancing in their classes, but if a person wants to walk on a path they created, they cannot have too many abilities.

He did not understand what it meant but for now, what he had to remember was that he should not select or rather create too many abilities. He also knew about terms like long range and short range attacks, crowd control, area of effect, energy consumption, etc...

Frankly, he was grateful to have learned so many things, but he would need a lot of time to digest all of this information and create a class of his own, even after knowledge transfer.

Not to mention he didn’t even have much time left before selection.

‘I guess I can only search some more. But before that I should check out something.’

“Can you answer me via knowledge transfer every time I use search?”

“Your mind cannot handle that much knowledge, only critical information can be given by direct transmission”

“Do I have to read paragraphs every time? Can I see things like the visions I saw in class descriptions?”

“Not recommended, it will limit your imagination and will be a hindrance in further advancement on your path.”

Odin felt helpless as he couldn’t possibly read enough in the next six hours to create a class on his own.

“For short answers you can get a voice reply, similar to a conversation. Would you like to proceed?”

He heard from ominira again but that didn’t quite solve the main issue.

‘Well It's better than nothing’ thought Odin and gave the command

‘Well that was fast, let me check it out’

“How many abilities should I have?”

“That depends upon Which aspects you desire”

Replied a voice in his mind, his own voice to be specific.

‘Aren’t I basically talking to myself then? Not to be narcissistic about it but my voice does sound much better than I'd thought…’ Anyway

“How many aspects can I choose at most?”

“Three”

‘That's too few,’ Odin thought to himself. He regretted seeing those classes before, they had so many different types of abilities!

But now he had to be even more careful about what he would select. And he had to let go of many things and focus on the few. The only question is what should he select, stealth, speed area of effect abilities?

As he thought more about it, he became excited and even changed his viewpoint from before.

‘My goal isn’t to become strong but to have freedom. Isn’t having a class I created for myself better than following a bunch of profession and cultivation rules set up by others?’

Unbeknownst to Odin, when he had this realization, The tome started trembling in his consciousness.

‘Oh right, what about my Bloodline? I remember it was supposed to awaken as well so can that be considered an ability as well?’

“Yes it is, the reason it did not awaken is because you haven't selected A Class yet.”

“Can I still not awaken it for a while? Will it be a problem for me in walking on my own path as well?”

“For a while, Yes. As for the second part, Again, That depends on the class you create.”

‘This is so damn confusing’ Odin thought to himself.

“Why is it that I cannot have many abilities that cover various aspects yet having a Bloodline is fine?”

“Cannot answer in Phase 1.”

“I thought so give me information in examples as much as you can.” Odin wasn’t even disappointed at this point. He had to make each and every second.

‘After all, my entire life depends upon the next few hours’

Unlike the usual reply, he once again saw the runic text in front of him. After previous knowledge transfer, he knew that this was crucial information as he had to comprehend the text carefully.

Unlike general ideas which are the same for everyone, for example, by reading 3+6 he’ll think 9 as he already knew addition, so it's fine for ominira to eliminate the thought process and provide the final result.

However, if he hasn’t understood something he cannot directly get the answer. It is similar to how when a person tells you a story, everyone will imagine different scenes in their mind, and it allows people to comprehend the deep meaning within. Everyone will think of different scenarios and understand different perspectives of the story.

However, if the storyteller were to directly transfer his own imagination into the brain of readers, they would comprehend the same thing and they would no longer have a different perspective, or at least not as diverse as before.

Even if they read a story afterwards, it won't be the same as they already have a preexisting point of view. This essentially eliminates their creativity.

Odin could vaguely guess what the runes meant after an hour of thinking

For example, if a swordsman wants to have the aspect of attack and protection, they can use a sword for attack and a shield to defend.

However, if that person is walking on the path of swords he cannot use anything but a sword. He will have to use a sword to deflect the incoming attack.

Also, Bloodline has nothing to do with swords in this case. If a person has abnormally thick skin or scales on their body due to their Bloodline, they can deflect the attack without using the sword and it will not affect their path.

The key here is that he should not be actively aware of how to use his bloodline to defend himself. Using a shield affects his comprehension of defensive sword arts, however, if he already has scales even before he started using swords due to his bloodline, it will not matter.

It is because of the instincts and subconscious actions of sentient beings.

Odin realized that he knew how to use blue light coming out of his body to increase his speed and stealth, but he did not know why his physique had grown stronger.

Meaning, he cannot use the blue lights that are the result of his bloodline, but he can use his strong physique which he had subconsciously grown accustomed to despite them being due to his Bloodline/Physique as well.

In simpler terms, Instinctual usage of bloodline doesn’t affect a person’s comprehension but deliberate use of it does.

“So does this mean I will lose my current effective bloodline and will get a new one when I get my class?” Odin asked seriously as it’ll affect his plans in dealing with that ‘thing’

Even in this situation where every second is of paramount importance, Odin couldn’t get rid of his past. He knew that unless he got over his trauma completely, he would not get far in his journey to gain freedom.

He had a rough idea about how to kill that monstrosity, but he still lacked some crucial pieces to complete his plan

“Indeed you can optimize your bloodline according to your class “

‘I believe it is like having a bulky physique for a knight, strong arm and muscles for an Archer, or scales on a mage as they are weak in close combat etc..’ thought Odin after getting confirmation from ominira.

Fortunately, he can delay that for a short period of time so it won’t affect his plans.

‘First Things First, I should figure out which aspects I will need for my immediate survival after escaping the underground mine’
