I opened my hand slightly and saw the hilt with the indentation of my fist in the material beneath the leather wrapping.
Oh, for fuck’s sake!
I gripped it again and pouted slightly taking my anger out onto the girth. It wasn’t much of a chance for me to take my anger out though since my blade went straight through the material and into the flesh beneath it.
The girth below me dropped. And the portion above slipped up. I heard shouts and looked up to see the tent disappear over the top of the animal’s back. I put my blade away and climbed up its side. Once I stood on top of its back, I looked over the other side to see the tent caught between the one I was on and the animal next to it.
Well, I guess I better knock this one to the ground and get to that one next. If they were this close together, it’d be easy to move from one to the next. I ran up its back to its head and then faced the one I wanted to go to next.
An arrow whizzed past my head. There was a horn and I saw the enemies in the tent moving and more arrows came for me.
I don’t know how much I had damaged the ground earlier but I’m sure if it was that same force, I’d be able to crush its head a decent amount.
I looked towards the top of the tent and pushed off. My aim wasn’t great, and I just managed to grab a rope attached to the top of the tent.
Instead of it stopping my movement, I felt the whole tent move with me before it snapped, and I slammed into the roof of the one past it.
I crashed down a few floors and coughed as all the air was forced out of my chest.
There were shouts in a language I didn’t understand, and I just managed to think about guarding my chest in time as I saw the glint of steel move towards me.
I felt the force behind the spear hit me but didn’t feel it enter me. I grabbed the shaft and crushed it unintentionally. The person holding it staggard back as I stood up.
In a second I was surrounded, and more spears came at me. They were all stopped when they hit my body. I grinned; this was better than I was expecting. Not to say I was really sure what to expect with my aura being fully awakened.
I grabbed one of the spears not wanting to crush it, just barely managing to do so, and pulled its owner towards me. I punched his face, but his head went away as well.
Dodger wasn’t lying when she said I’d have no control. A few punches and kicks later and there was a pile of bodies around me, the tent walls stained with blood.
I headed through a doorway and entered a tented hallway.
I wasn’t sure which way to head and Alcoroth wasn’t around me, so I picked the left and started running. When I got to the end of the hallway and the path turned to the left, I simply ran through the fabric in front of me.

There was no point in discovering the pathway out, I’d eventually make it outside if I kept running.
A few more walls and room occupants later and I had made it out the tent completely. I was at the back side though, so I turned around and went in the direct opposite direction.
By the time I had made it to the animal’s head I was covered in blood with bits of fabric still sticking to me. I looked around and saw that the tent that I had knocked over was still attached to the one I had missed. The tent of the one I had missed though, was now even more lopsided than before.
I headed for the head and with what I hoped was less force than the last time I leaped off and luckily landed in the side of the one I wanted. After pulling my head out of its flesh, I climbed across to the girth and pulled my now slightly broken sword out and cut it. It slipped upwards but not as fast as the last one had.
I reached out to grab it and let the force pull me up until I stood on the thing’s back. I looked over the side to see the two tents stacked on top of each other, on the corpse of the first mount I landed on.
I looked back and saw the one I had just left also lying on the ground. They both had large craters in their heads, but one was larger than the other. The mount I was on was quite far from any of the other ones now though. Any of the ones ahead of it were a distance away and the ones behind were forced to reroute around the ones I had gotten already.
The ones in front seemed to be changing direction too. Dodger and the others must have killed a few as well. With three down, well three once I get off this one, I’m up to three hundred and thirty points.
I think I’ll aim for the ones to my left. This time I’d need a decent amount of force to make it, and probably a running start. There wasn’t much width to this thing’s head, but it would have to do.
I went to the far-right side, started sprinting and leapt off. I flew over the downed mount but was heading for the butt of the next one. It had a short tail and that was all I could reach for. It didn’t hold as a grip though, and I fell down to the ground hearing a thunderous trumpeting yell from the creature.
I slammed into the ground and was suddenly covered by a shadow. I looked up to see the animal standing up on its back legs. I heard screams and there were enemies falling out of the tent.
There was a chance that it’d fall on its butt completely, so I clambered up and out of the hole I made and ran out of the way.
Only the tent crashed down next to me, and the animal landed on its front legs again and started charging forward. I ran after it jumping up with what I hoped was a tiny fraction of my previous force and made it a couple body lengths of myself up its back leg. I climbed up quickly and when I made it to its back it reached a mount in front of it and crashed into it.
The force of the crash threw me off my feet and I flew backwards, grabbing randomly with my hand to stop myself from slipping all the way off. I stood up once I could and sprinted for its head. I had to climb over the remnants of the tent system, but it wasn’t too much. Once I made it to the head, I leaped for the one in front of me.
I crashed into its tent and fell down through only one floor but was still a bit disoriented. I wasn’t sure which direction I should run towards, so I just picked whatever way I thought was forward.
I ran through tent walls and people until I hit fresh air, but I didn’t feel any ground below me and I plummeted down the side of the animal.
I turned midair as I slid along its skin and dug a hand in, jolting to a stop. My body yanked against my shoulder, and I gritted my teeth. I heard some more trumpeting sounds; I didn’t have time to waste.
I looked for the girth and climbed towards it taking my sword to cut it away. This time I grabbed the top of the girth before cutting. I was pulled up faster than the last time and let go at the top. The tent slid all the way off and arrows whizzed past me from both sides. I picked the mount in front of me.
If I put enough force into my jump, I might be able to knock the one I’m on into the one behind me. I ran towards it and jumped off.
