The Final Stage

It was a frigid night as Sir Geoffrey made his way to the Rusty Dagger tavern, driven by an enigmatic letter that had been addressed to him. Despite the "closed" sign hanging on the door, he proceeded to enter, compelled by the instructions within the letter. Inside the tavern, his gaze fell upon the bald tavern master. Although his memory was clouded, a vague sense of familiarity stirred within him, as if he had encountered this person before.

"Please, have a seat," the tavern master beckoned, fixing a piercing gaze upon Sir Geoffrey.

"Are you the one who sent me this letter?" Sir Geoffrey inquired, his skepticism evident in his voice.

"I don't know what you're talking about," the tavern master coldly replied, denying any knowledge.

"Don't lie to me! How could you be aware of it? What do you mean by manhood trouble?!" Sir Geoffrey's disbelief lingered, refusing to accept the tavern master's denial.

"Sir, I truly have no knowledge of what you're referring to. I received instructions from a certain individual to vacate my establishment for the night, as they wished to speak with you privately. Once that person arrived, I left the premises to allow you to proceed as you deemed fit."

"T-then, who is this caller? Tell me!" Sir Geoffrey demanded, his voice laced with urgency.

"It's me," a voice of a young man suddenly echoed from behind him, devoid of any emotion.

Startled, Sir Geoffrey turned his head to face the owner of the voice, recognizing him instantly.

"You... You're Takahiko, the traveling merchant!" he exclaimed.

"Yes, that's correct, Sir Geoffrey," Takahiko confirmed, with his calm expression.

Sir Geoffrey seemed flustered but managed to keep his composure in front of him.

"Ce..certainly it's been a while."
