Chapter 5

Teaghan, in her excitement of what she found, decided to leave the other new materials for the fossil summon. So, she decided to summon the lizard. And she was in for a big surprise.

In her mind, she took the petonx lizard’s skeleton, and with a little help from the system, made a three dimensional model of the skeleton and what it would be if it was living. Slowly she added the organs, blood, tissue and skin to the animal. Re-creating the creature in her mind before she summoned it.

When Teaghan summoned a petonx lizard, a bunch of blue screens appeared before her.

‘Hah’ thought Teaghan ‘This is just like that land of the lost movie.’

Congratulations! Your dungeon has been named “Dungeon of the Lost”

Teaghan looked at her dungeon’s new name and laughed. She found it quite ironic that the system, or whatever or whoever is in charge of it, took the movie name and exchanged “land” to “dungeon”.

Teaghan read the blue screens and remembered that she had not looked at her status page in a long time.

Teaghan looked over her status and saw that she had a couple of new abilities. Curious about what these abilities meant, she pulled up the descriptions for them.

Create

The ability to use materials to construct new forms.

Cross-Breed

The ability to take two different species and create an ‘offspring’ of the two.

Rebirth

The ability to take any ancient bones or fossil type and re-create it.

As Teaghan read over all of her new abilities, she started to laugh.

‘Oh now this is going to be fun’ thought Teaghan.

The first thing that she did was summon everything that the foxes collected. She placed the bomba tree seeds all through the floor and tunnels. But Teaghan concentrated the number of seeds in the first room. She figured that the tree’s scent would attract new animals into the dungeon. She then placed the white bat flowers and the white grappler, and intertwined them with the white holly vines.

Teaghan placed the foxfire fungus on top of the ceiling and walls. She also placed the wavy-capped mushrooms sparsely near the end of her dungeon, as they could potentially be valuable. The hydnora flower was placed close to trees in the fourth room of her dungeon.

Teaghan then used mana to speed up the plants’ growth, changing the environment and scenery of the dungeon. She then placed the large praying mantises and caterpillars and spread them throughout the dungeon.

Teaghan also decided to create a nest of hunter scorpion ants on her first floor and ordered them to dig out tunnels under the first floor and within her domain.

Once she was finished with that, she decided to spawn another petonx lizard of the opposite sex to create a mating pair.

Teaghan decided that she was going to try out one of her new abilities. She decided to try and create glowing quartz using her new phantom quartz and foxfire fungus.

She took the bioluminescence of the foxfire fungus, injected it into the phantom quartz, and used her merge ability to create a new type of quartz.

This new quartz was tiny. It had clear quartz growing out of a rock, with a semi-liquid center. The liquid center was glowing brightly, casting a glow throughout Teaghan’s core room. Suddenly a blue screen appeared in her vision.

Radiance Quartz

A type of quartz that produces light as it grows. The light will become stronger, the bigger the crystal grows.

Teaghan decided that she would not use the quartz on the first floor. But she decided that she did want to use them in her core room.

When Teaghan glanced at her room, she realized that she had done nothing to decorate or change her room.

After taking in her core room, she decided that she needed to make changes. She created a large amount of phantom quartz and carved out a pedestal for her core to sit on. Next, she placed the radiance quartz in patterns showing constellations from Earth, allowing her to remember where she came from.

She also grew a couple Bomba trees and placed the white bat flowers on them and around the walls. Next, she placed the foxfire fungus and grass across the floor of her room.

Teaghan also created a little living space where her pair of petonx lizards would live until she decided that she wanted them on one of her floors.

After she was satisfied with her core room, Teaghan decided to send out the same kobold that brought her the fossil and gave it specific instructions to find something similar and get it back to the dungeon.

Teaghan, satisfied with the work she has done, she looked over the dungeon and realized that she was missing a crucial thing - traps. Deciding to remedy this, Teaghan dug footfall traps across her dungeon. She placed sharpened sticks on them and covered the top with leaf foliage, effectively hiding them.

When she was satisfied, Teaghan realized that she should expand her dungeon’s entrance to the world. She grew the opening so that a child would have to hunch over to walk through it.
