With the third floor only needing a boss and a few touch-ups, Teaghan decided that it was time to look in on the three rooms where she used the cross-breed ability.
When she looked in on the first room, the fungus and mushroom room, Teaghan was greatly surprised with what she found. The room was bustling with new and different types of life.
Teaghan looked across the room and saw new fungi and mushrooms growing all over the room. She saw a short yellow-green mushroom, a moss with red spots, a bright green mushroom, a fish look-a-like mushroom, and a mushroom looking like a weeping willow tree.
Elf Shroom
A fat mushroom with a curled yellow-green head. If consumed raw, it causes terrible effects on the metabolic system. It can be distilled to increase the poisonous effects of certain elixirs.
Gall Moss
A greenish moss with red spores that blossom in heat. These spores are incredibly toxic and can cause the inhaler’s lungs to freeze. If not treated, it will suffocate the inhaler. In contrast, while the red spores are toxic, the moss can stem blood flow in a wound.
Greencap
A coloured mushroom with a bright green cap. It can be used as dye if boiled.
Fishfin Mushroom
A fluted transparent mushroom that is similar to a fish fin. They are often found on fallen tree trunks. It is used as the main ingredient in a couple of magic potions that can give the user the ability to breathe underwater for a certain period of time.
Willow Shroom
This mushroom has hundreds of small glowing strands that hang down from the mushroom cap, making it look like a willow tree. If bare skin touches the strands, it will sting the person for hours.
Teaghan, seeing how well the first experiment room went, hoped that this trend would continue on into the other rooms.
When she looked at the ferns and flowers room, Teaghan found a couple of new species created. There was a new type of fern that had a reddish sheen on it, a fern with flowering buds on it, and a wallflower with light brown petals.
Hydra Fern
A species of fern that has flowering buds. The flowering buds would bite and nip at pashing creatures.
Blood Fern
Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
A species of fern that appears where bloodshed has occurred. It absorbs the nutrients in blood, and as a result, can be used to create health potions and in healing.
Mineral Flower
A species of flower that will take on characteristics of minerals and metals in the soil that it lives. Depending on the minerals and metals that it absorbs, it can make this flower more valuable.
These new species gave Teaghan a lot of ideas for her existing floors and for future floors.
Now for the biggest of the experiment rooms, Teaghan hoped that there would be at least one new type. But if not, she would be happy with what she got in the first two rooms.
She looked into the room and only saw two new species. The first was a tree about half the size of the eaholia pine with purple flowers. The second was a light green vine with green and purple leaves. Teaghan, who couldn’t wait to see the description, pulled up the descriptions of these plants.
Purple Locust Tree
A species of tree that is the ideal home for bee species. It has purple flowers that create a very sweet syrup that is very favourable to insect species and especially bee species.
Kudzu Vine
A species of vine that grows incredibly fast. In its quest for light and nutrients, it can grow on anything and can live in most environments. This vine species produces both healing and poisonous leaves. The trick is that each vine is different, so on similar vines, the purple leaves could be toxic or have healing effects.
Teaghan watched her new plants for a couple more minutes before deciding that it was time to make the underwater lake part of her domain.
First, she checked how far her domain reached into the lake with her multi-task skill. Teaghan looked and felt that her domain covered about 20 metres in and 30 metres wide. She covered the area under her control and found multiple new species and variants. She used her dominate ability on these creatures and received multiple blue screens.
Waterwheel Plant
This species is an underwater carnivorous plant. It grows snapping traps underwater, like a venus fly trap, to hunt insects and small fish.
Sun Coral
This species of coral has adapted to be able to survive in freshwater. It also produces a small amount of bioluminescence. If taken above water, it will automatically create an aerial poison that can last for over three days.
Vixen Stingray
A stingray species that has adapted to living in freshwater. It is an ambush predator that has the ability to camouflage in its environment and stay perfectly still. It has a barbed spine attached to its tail that is coated in extremely toxic mucus.
Kuhli Loach
A species of eel-like fish with whiskers around its mouth and sharp daggered teeth. This fish species can grow up to one metre long. It lives in groups of five to eight. If disturbed, the fish may go into a feeding frenzy.
Armoured Cavefish
A species of small fish that, despite its size, is a voracious predator. It has armour covering its head and body. To hunt, it will ram into its prey to stun it before crushing the prey in its jaws.
Teaghan was very happy with these new species, and she would definitely use them on future floors.
As she watched her area, she saw something that caught her attention. About two metres away, Teaghan saw a pile of something clear, and she could feel its power from here.
Teaghan spent the better portion of a couple of hours pushing her domain over to what caught her attention, and she discovered a clump of crystals.
But just as she was going to absorb the crystals, Teaghan felt something entering her dungeon.
She quickly pulled her attention to the dungeon’s entrance and saw a group of people entering the dungeon. Teaghan quickly called Lilith to watch the group with her.
