The atmosphere within the room was ghastly. Silence permeated the room, as everyone's eyes were focused on the man laid on the medical bed.
With an oxygen mask tied to his mouth, his eyes were shut tight without any response.
His face turned pale, and his skin became even more wrinkled, and it failed to hide the two huge scars on his chest.
Tony and Felicity's gazes softened when they noticed Richard on the bed, with a saline needle attached to his hand.
The other machines that surrounded him, checked his pulse and heartbeat.
Tony was unable to sit, as he frustratingly walked back and forth and waiting for someone to arrive.
Being at the medical bay at Golden Enterprises, the doctors and nurses tried their very best to heal Richard.
The news of Richard supposedly dead, spread to many of the members within the company. Such a secret was unveiled by none other than Ema herself.
Only a selective few were aware of Ema's betrayal. And upon Richard's collapse, many rushed over with extreme worry and concern.
They all loved Richard and were dying to know how such an event had transpired. A man who was simply akin to God, shook the hearts of many.
Tony and Felicity managed to push away the crowd out of the medical bay and persuaded them to wait outside.
"Alice, how are you feeling?" Ricardo asked as he slowly lifted her up.
Alice groggily woke up and realization hit her when she recalled the horrifying scene back at the cargo.
A scene which she never imagined, would occur. Much to her dismay, it was never dream to begin with.
Seated on the other medical bed, she turned to her left anxiously. Widening her eyes, she burst out in tears and hurriedly stumbled over to Richard's side.
Endless wailing echoed throughout the room as she bent down to the bed's height and filled the bedsheets with her tears.
"Alice…" Ricardo too was unable to hold it in. Much more than tears, hatred and anger welled up in him. Disappointment and confusion aroused within his heart.
"Why? W-Why did she do that? Weren't we all friends, weren't we Ric, tell me?!" Alice got up and grabbed his collars. Ricardo looked away, unable to retort.
"Alice that's enough! We're all thoroughly exhausted and frustrated as you are. Instead, we now need to deal with the situation outside. The media and other people are outside, and they all are waiting for a reply." Alice let go of Ricardo's collars and stared at Tony.
"Where is Indra, did you tell him?" Alice asked.
"Just did, he should be here-" Within moments,
Indra's arrival startled everyone within the room.
Tension and anxiousness were now in their minds as they all remained frozen.
Tony and Felicity who just saw Indra for their first time, were astonished.
Such a young-looking man was the best friend of Richard, who supposedly disappeared for a thousand years?
Everything felt inconceivable, but right now all their fates rested on this person.
Indra's gazed locked onto Richard as his eyes glowed for a split second before returning to its usual splendor.
None in the room dared to approach him in any manner.
They knew, they had messed up quite the big time. He walked over to Richard, held his hand and remained quiet for several minutes.
"I'm sorry Wimpy, I should've been there no matter what. I knew why you did this. I'm so sorry." Despite the mutter, everyone within the room heard his apologetic words as they gulped in nervousness even more.
Sighing, Indra stood up and turned towards everyone in the room.
Like a bunch of rabbits trapped in a lion's den, they all were unable to escape this ordeal.
"I will not ask why you all went on with this operation, that I will not. I'm only going to ask you one question." Even Felicity herself, who was cold and brave was unable to maintain her stolidity in front of him.
This man made her feel like an insurmountable mountain. Strangely enough, she subconsciously felt safe in front of this person.
Tony, however, was simply frozen and yet his anger was at the very peak. He was already starting to dislike this golden-haired man.
Of course, he had no awareness regarding Indra's long and time-consuming slumber.

Unfortunately, he wasn't about to anytime soon.
"Did you know your enemies' strengths and weaknesses well enough to take them on?" As expected, none were able to reply to it.
The unexpected betrayal of Ema, the huge containers of Dem-Potions and the overall strength of Falcon Steels and DW-Industries were on an entirely different level.
Just Falcon Steels alone was enough to wipe out Golden Enterprises' strongest.
Biting his tongue, Tony coldly stared at Indra.
This man was a bit too late for the show and yet he dared to question the others.
"I don't care if you are Richard's friend, but in this case, we had no choice but to prevent Falcon Steels from signing a deal with them. Then there's that new drug being released too. What have you been doing, sitting around and playing CEO all day?"
Hearing Tony's sarcasm, Indra simply smiled and folded his arms.
Having met Tony for the first time as well, he found him quite the interesting character.
A man whose brawn was greater than his brain. A man who jumped too early to conclusions.
Alice glared at Tony for being disrespectful to Indra.
"Tony, what are you blabbering about! You have no idea-"
"It's alright Alice, let him finish. So you must be Tony, and that must be Felicity, right?" Felicity remained still at the corner of the room and looked over to Indra.
"So now that you know us, is that going to change anything? What-"
"Are you done with the insulting, or are you going to answer my question?" Indra raised his eyebrows as his gazed remained fixated on Tony.
Unable to respond, he clenched his fists and looked down in embarrassment.
"That's what I thought. Not just you, everyone within this room are responsible for today's events. If you weren't aware of their strengths and hidden cards, it was equivalent to going across a speeding car."
"But Indra, if we didn't try to stop them, we wouldn't have known about Ema's betrayal!"
Ricardo counter argued. Indra's eyes flickered in fury when he heard her name.
"I know." Everyone within the room were startled.
"How?" Felicity asked this time, who was quiet all this while.
"Firstly, she is not within this room. If she of all people cared for Wimpy, she would have never left his side. Secondly, the people and the press outside. Considering the situation, we're in, calling them is worst possible scenario for us. Isn't that enough to know that she betrayed us?"
Tony especially was stunned when he heard Indra's deduction. With just these two points, he was able to determine Ema's betrayal. Nonetheless, it wasn't enough to convince him. This man was just too mysterious, if not shady.
"But can't we do anything to save boss? Alice, can't you do something with your powers?" Ricardo pleaded as he looked towards Alice.
Shaking her head downheartedly, Alice bit her lips angrily. Angrily at herself for not being able to do anything in this situation.
"It's ok Alice, I know you must have done your best. You need to rest first." Indra requested her to get more rest.
With a nod, she climbed back on the bed and immediately fell asleep. Placing a blanket on her, Indra turned around and replied:
"When I mentioned everyone, I too am at fault. I should've known about this but now it is too late to save Wimpy." Indra long steeled his heart for this. All he could do, was to silently pray for his friend.
"Will he never wake up then? Will we lose everything we worked so hard for?" Ricardo asked as he gripped his pants tightly, as they began to tear apart.
The very thought of losing Richard and the company he painstakingly built was simply unbearable to him.
"No, not even close. Thought it will take some time for him to wake up, his willpower is simply amazing. I think he won't close his eyes just yet. Not until he sees the downfall of our enemies. We will fulfill his wish and by the time he wakes up, they will all be dead."
"Indra, we should not spare them at all. We should kill all those bastards who have done this to boss!" Ricardo replied.
Placing a hand on his shoulder, Indra nodded as his demeanor radiated hatefully.
"Not even a single one is going to be spared. The time has finally come to unveil some of my plans."
"How?" Ricardo, Tony, and Felicity asked in unison.
Indra chuckled as he observed their curious faces.
Just a while ago, their moods were very dull and depressing. But now, their eyes flickered with a goal in their mind.
To annihilate their enemies and save the innocent people. Indra was beginning to like them even more.
"What do you all think I have been doing as the operational CEO of this company? In due time, I shall reveal everything to you guys. For now, don't you think we have something important to deal with?"
Pointing towards their left, Tony, Felicity and Ricardo shifted their gazes towards the muted TV which displayed the people and the press right outside the building.
People were ready to storm in and check in on Richard, while some within the building waited outside the medical bay.
"What are we going to do with them?" Tony asked hurriedly.
"I thought you didn't trust me?"
"I still don't, but right now, I have no choice but to follow the one who would lead this company. Remember, if I find out you are up to something shady, I will not hesitate to come after you. Even if you happened to be his best friend."
"Wow, a warning huh? Well, I'll take your word on that and trust me, you won't be disappointed."
Indra smirked as he proceeded to explain his plan to the others.
"Now? Wasn't the plan to initiate it tomorrow?" Ricardo confusingly asked.
"Normally yes but lying to the people would only be detrimental to us. After all, it was told by somebody who was a 'loyal' to this company. This is the only choice we have." Tony nodded and asked:
"And what do we have to do?"
"Protect Richard for this night. Tomorrow we will have him shifted to a place somewhere safe. Remember, the people now think he is dead. Let's just keep it that way. I'll handle the media."
"Got it, but what about the others in the company?" Ricardo asked.
"Contact the police and let them know. We can't let the people know, something beyond their comprehension is involved here. Oh, and contact Gilbert and Joseph as well on my phone and explain the situation to them. Don't worry, there are strongly loyal to this company.
The fewer the people know, the better it is for us. I'll explain everything else later."
Ricardo took Indra's mobile and began contacting them, while Tony remained by Richard and Alice's side.
"Felicity, I need you to go around the building to make sure nothing suspicious is going on, can I take your word upon that?" Felicity walked towards Indra and hugged him, and immediately proceeded to do as he said so.
Leaving a confused and awkward Indra, he turned towards Tony who was similarly surprised too.
"What was that all about?"
"Never expected Felicity to take a liking to you. It's her way of showing affectionate to those she cares about. You just happen to be one of them."
"Who would've thought? Either way, be alert. I will go on ahead and deal with the press."
Just as he was about to leave, he turned around and said:
"Oh, and Tony, I know we didn't have the time for pleasantries, but we just have to trust in each other. If we want to win, trust is a very important factor. Not that I'm expecting you to trust me entirely but trusting Richard's decisions would be for the best."
Indra disappeared from his spot, leaving Tony all to himself.
Looking over to his best friend who was in an induced coma, for the first time, he felt unsure.
"When you wake up, I'll be expecting a lot of answers from you my friend."
