Chapter 32: Jin Dong (Part 4)

Chapter 32: Jin Dong (Part 4)

Before his turn arrived, Indra quickly grabbed onto the unconscious Walter and Alice, and appeared at the outskirts of Jin Dong market. With his inconceivable speed, it took him mere moments to arrive.

Shocked by his sudden arrival, Adam and his partner locked onto their scopes and aimed at Indra's forehead. Adam smiled at his near victory. He was excited to be promoted by his boss, who rewarded the victors. He also knew the dire consequences of failure. Death. Sounded very simple to those who worked under him.

To Aaron however, it was to remove traces of his crimes. Being conniving and calculating, he always made sure to erase his or his subordinates' presences, and only leave terror and chaos. Aiming his scope towards Indra, Adam was about to press the trigger, until a black Mercedes-SUV appeared, hindering his line of sight.

Calming himself, he readjusted his scope and waited till the vehicle left. Over the walkie talkie, he heard his partner ramble impatiently, ready to put a bullet in his head. Frustration took over him. Not just frustration. He was in need of a kill very badly.

"What about those two in the car? I thought we were ordered kill those two shit heads!" Adam was fully aware of his mission. Considering the circumstances, he knew it was too late to kill all three of them. He hoped to bag at least one before he revived a call on his mission.

"Be quiet you idiot! You're going to ruin it all for us. Right now, we have no choice but to take the golden hair man down. I don't know how he appeared so quickly, but he's extremely fast, so beware."

"Do you think he found us-" With that, Adam's partner's voice turned silent over the walkie talkie. Initially confused, Adam called his name over and over, but there wasn't a response.

"Screw it all!" Adam decided to take his shot and worry about his partner later. Just as he aimed at the initial position Indra was at, he was astonished. His target was nowhere to be found. When he continued to look around with his rifle, he heard a little creak from behind.

When he squirmed around, he noticed Indra staring right at him with a ruthless look in his eyes. Adam stood up and pointed his sniper rifle at Indra, who was a mere ten meters away from him.

"Are you looking for someone?" Indra's tone gave Adam goosebumps.

"You're just like me aren't you? With extraordinary powers."

"Me? I'm nothing like you guys. Although I should say, you guys have been stalking us for quite a bit. Don't expect me to show mercy on you." Indra's eyes glowed in golden color, staring daggers at Adam.

"What did you do to my partner?" Adam guessed what had happened to his partner. Still, he couldn't help but ask. Was it hope, unlikely not. No, it was this last minute curiosity.

"He won't be waking up for a very long time, and you are going to do the same too."

'Bang'

Ignoring Indra's threats, Adam no scoped Indra at the head with his precision and rushed towards him. With the bullet's speed and the distance between them, he was confident his target wouldn't be able to dodge.

Today, he was about to witness a man who went beyond anything he's ever seen. Beyond his damnable comprehension.

Indra stood still and waited for the bullet to hit him. When the bullet hit him, it ricocheted off his body and crumpled to the ground.

Looking at Adam, who was charging with all his might, Indra rushed at him and grabbed onto his hand. Twisting his hand and breaking it, he grabbed onto the dagger and stabbed him in the chest.

Unware of Indra's speed, by the time the bullet hit the ground, Adam found himself being stabbed in the chest. With blood gushing out of his chest, he took one last look at Indra who was devoid of any emotions. It was much more than that. He was looking at him, like he was destined to die.

"Like I said, it's the end for you. For this, is your karma." With that Indra twisted the dagger and killed him on the spot. Dropping his body, he wiped the drop of blood that splattered on his left cheek, and started to walk away. Just then, a ring halted his steps.

Turning around, he walked over to Adam and searched for the phone in his pocket. Noticing the 'unknown' call, he picked up the call and waited.

"Adam, is the job done?"

"Adam? Adam, why aren't you reporting? Do you want me to report to Sir Aaron for your disobedience?" The voice grew harsher.

"I see, so you are not Aaron. Then you must be Winston." Hearing Indra's reply, Winston was shocked. Retaining his usual tone, Winston replied coldly,

"Who are you, and where is Adam and Allen?"

"Well, the people you are trying to reach are no longer in their physical bodies. To talk to them, please try again in your next birth! Thank you." Hearing his sarcasm, Winston turned furious.

"How dare you kill them, you insolent fool! Tell me who you are and I'll separate your head from your body and gift it to my master!"

"Oh enough with the routine threats, I've heard many in my life already! Can't you guys come up with something better?"

Winston's face, on the other side of the line, contorted in fury. Being unable to refute, all he could do was stay quiet.

"At any case, tell your boss that I'm coming for him and every crime he has done. Today, will mark the first phase of destruction to him and his precious DW-Industries. Oh, and do yourself a favor and stop this hide and seek games. I will appear when the right time comes."

"I know you have ties with Golden Enterprises. It won't be long, till we find out about you and kill you. We have our eyes are everywhere!" Ignoring his threats, Indra disconnected the call, crushed the phone, and shattered it into pieces.

Without further delay, Indra flew away and headed back to the underground battle arena for his upcoming battle.

--

Waking up from her beauty sleep, Alice looked around and noticed Walter asleep and Indra gone. At the front seat, she saw Richard and Ricardo talking discretely. Feeling rather groggy.

"Boss...Ric? What am I doing here? Where is Indra?" She asked.

"Alice, how are you feeling?" Richard asked.

"I'm fine boss. Is Indra still back there?" Noticing her concerned look, Richard smiled and nodded.

"But I thought we had our phones taken away. How was he able to contact you?" Was it so easy for him to be able to do this?

"Indra has his way of doing things. I'm sure he will be fine. So, want to tell me what you guys have been doing, because I feel so left out!" Richard who was happy, changed his temperament as quickly as the change in seasons. Feeling angry and depressed, Alice shook her head and began narrating the events that transpired.

Ricardo and Richard were surprised when they realized the man in the back seat was the famous Walter Dinnon. Having heard Indra's plan, Richard and Ricardo turned excited. Excitement was just an understatement. They were finally seeing things falling into place. Initially, it seemed like a never ending tale of revenge. This time, they personally would be witnessing the downfall of DW-Industries.

"Ok, I'll contact some of our guys and have this man protected. Ricardo, contact our lawyer and go over the details with him. Remember, no one should know about Walter until he is summoned." Richard replied.

"What about Falcon Steels?" Ricardo asked.

"Don't worry, we will continue our plan to wipe them out. Since Alice needs to rest, we will take Ema with us. Can't go battling a war with injured men. We have to do this before the summit begins."

"But boss, we need Alice too. What if we are injured, we definitely need her as our support healer." Ricardo reminded Richard. He definitely knew that.

An attack party without a healer was the same as battling someone without an armor. Alice's role was so definitive, not only because of her healing, but also her ability to increase their overall attack prowess during battle.

There was only two days left until the summit began, and tomorrow night will decide the fate of Golden Enterprises. Though the gains were high this time round, Alice still needed more time to recover. Should she recover by tonight, then the plan would resume as usual.

"If only we could find a mercenary that could heal us. I mean look at Japan. They have some of the best healers in the world. Not just one but five of them." Ricardo responded in jealousy.

"That doesn't matter. For now, we have to make sure Alice gets all the rest she needs."

Alice bit her lips in frustration. She felt quite frustrated. Not that she expected to be of any help to them. A support healer, who waited till there were casualties, what could she possibly be of use now that she was exhausted?

"Don't overthink things Alice. You did us a huge favor saving Walter. Something none us could've ever hoped to do. So raise your head, child, I'm very very proud of you." Alice eyes turned blurry.

How long had she been waiting to hear these words from him? From someone who saved her from the depths of hell and made her who she was today. Letting it all out, Alice began to sob out aloud. Her tears represented her worthiness. Evidence, proving her worth to Golden Enterprises.

"I will still participate in the mission sir. I should by fine by tomorrow morning, and I can already feel myself recovering quicker. Believe me, I won't hold you guys back." Wiping her tears away she soon noticed her body feel lighter. Strange. Not only did she feel less fatigued, she also felt stronger. Ready to heal as much as she could.

She finally realized, she was nearing the initial stages of Cosmic Realm. She was stunned. If she continued to heal, her powers would rise exponentially. Her healing speed and skills would all take a qualitative leap.

She clenched her fists in excitement. With strength, came will and determination. This time round, even Richard and Ricardo would be in for a little surprise.

"Alright, have it your way. But remember, you'll follow my orders. We will be needing you as much as possible."

"I won't fail you boss."

Richard smiled in pride, when he looked at Alice. Not just Alice. He knew everyone in his company worked hard to serve the people righteously. For him and his goals. He was very proud of them.

"Final call for token number 167!" The guard screamed with all his might in the waiting room.

Indra arrived just in time, and approached the guard. Eyeing Indra suspiciously for his supposed disappearance, the guard then gave him a dismissive look and opened the large doors. Unfazed by the crowd's roars, Indra walked up and faced his opponent.

With his opponent walking out, he stood straight without taking his usual stance. Indra was happy. Elated that he would not have to drag this too long. His opponent, well, she was simply too weak.
