Chapter 3: The Purple Door

Time slowly trickled, without waiting for anyone. Within space, a few light years away from earth, the closest and largest known star, VY Canis Majoris could be seen.

Not only was it huge, it also radiated extreme heat and solar radiation. Emitting such radiation would obliviate any living or non living entity that went close to it.

The distance spanned within a few million miles within the star's proximity.

On this day however, such a record was broken when one man could be seen heading towards the star at an immense speed.

When Indra escaped and exited the solar system, he suddenly encountered a worm hole which sucked him in and threw him out into an unknown part of the universe.

When he continued to traverse, he arrived in front of this monstrous star.

Despite being sucked in like a vacuum, there were no signs of stopping.

Despite the heat which it radiated, he quickly entered it's stellar atmosphere.

The moment he came in contact with Canis Majoris' outer atmosphere, the gravity started to pull him in and drew him all the way into the stellar core trapping him in with sheer force.

Instead of killing him, the sun was slowly healing his injuries at a rapid rate.

However, using the Axe of cosmic devastation took a major toll on his life force.

Despite his strength being at the Cosmic Realm, the highest known realms in his world, his life force would take a very long time before it fully healed.

Within Indra's mind he was going through his inner battles, wishing he could escape this torment and struggles.

In his mind, he woke and saw multiple doors around him, with each door representing a part of his memories. It was like a library full of books.

Some were in the bottom and some lead him to the top. The good ones in gold color and the bad one in black color.

Stolen novel; please report.

Neither did they interest him, nor pique his curiosity.

As he continued to walk around, he headed towards the stairs and started walking up, reaching the final floor.

After arriving, he noticed a dark purple door. He subconsciously took a step back, fully aware of what this door was.

A memory which was forever etched into him. Taking a deep breath, Indra slowly opened the door.

Upon opening it, he could hear muffled voices around him and a series of images began to pop up around him in the form of rectangular images.

"Please! I beg you, I beg you do not hurt them! I will stop going after you or him, I promise, so just leave them alone! "

He stopped and looked to his left. He heard his own voice and could see two figures knelt down with their hands tied together.

What made this memory horrifying was a dagger that was pointed to their necks, by someone he cherished. His very own sister.

"Maria, why are you doing this?! They took you in and raised you like their own daughter and cared for you. How could you betray them and their kindness? I thought we were siblings. Did you not love us?"

Indra's eyes fell on a woman with purple hair. She wore a mixed black and silver colored robe and had a beautiful appearance.

However that was only on the outside. On the inside she was a vicious, cruel and blood thirsty woman who kept her goody two shoes appearance, fooling Indra and his parents all this while.

"Don't look at me like that brother, trust me, I am only following the orders of my beloved Lord Daemon. Besides it was your so called love, which became your weakness and my strength to take our parents down."

She replied as she stared at Indra revealing her true nature.

"You will never be our daughter! You are nothing but a disgrace to our family." Her father stared at Maria with anger.

Ignoring her father's remarks, Maria looked towards Indra and awaited in silence.

"Hurry up and decide brother. Do you want our parents alive and 'they' die or the other way around? I do not have all day, even though I would love to have more fun!" She laughed menacingly as she slowly started to slice the neck of her father.

He couldn't handle it anymore. Without a second thought, he immediately ran out of the purple door and shut it tight, and slowly sat in front of it.

He screamed with all his might as tears trickled down his eyes.

Though he wished he could go back and redo it all, he knew it was deemed impossible as he had to live with the choices he made.

He knew that this is what his parents would also have wanted.

Was it a sacrifice worth making? Wasn't there anything else he could've done?

Leaning against the door, Indra tilted his head up and remembered his mother's last words.

"My son, we are so proud to have have you in our lives. Remember, no matter what happens you must continue on with your responsibilities, because there are many out there that need you. Even more than us. Your father and I will always love you and be watching over you."

Recovering from his thoughts and steeling he resolve with a smile, he walked away from the door coming to terms with it.

The moment he left, the door immediately vanished, never to be seen again.
