The robots within the training room were simultaneously disfigured. The walls, and other parts of the room were riddled with cracks and holes in them. Since the time Indra had gained his new power, it was similar to akin of evolution. His core was like another life force, constantly running throughout, nourishing every cell in his body.
A few days had transpired since his talk with Donovan and had been constantly testing out his new profound powers. Having an entire arsenal of offensive powers sounded exciting. To Indra, however, he was lacking defensive abilities.
After his fight with Daemon, he realized that he was able to survive the ordeal due to his axe, absorbing most of the damage. His very own partner was no longer with him, and the sadness was evident in his eyes.
Eventually, he understood, that he needed to wield defensive skills to prevent from landing in similar circumstances like his past.
Although he had a huge leap in strength after gaining his core, Indra remained unfazed and decided to not underestimate anyone's powers. He decided to develop his new powers and utilize them to its very best.
He needed a power which not only shielded him, but also the others when the desired time arrived. Though he was able to protect himself, by wrapping himself around a huge circular golden barrier, to cover many people around him was going to take extreme amount of control and precision.
Moreover, there was another major flaw with his idea. If he was quite far away from the person or people he needed to protect, and the people were at a certain distance from each other, then he would need to envelop each person in a separate barrier from different parts of the city.
This was the very reason why the robots in the training room were completely obliterated. For a split second, Indra lost control destroying the figures who enveloped within the barrier. Though the explosion didn't and wouldn't hurt him in the slightest, for the others, it was a different story altogether.
He wiped the sweat of his forehead and continued to practice. He was extremely thankful to Richard, who provided him with his own training room.
By controlling the output of his power, he managed to not destroy the entire floor itself and confined it to the boundaries of the room itself.
Gathering enough power, Indra pressed the button on the side of the wall, as the disfigured robots, went down into the floor and were eventually replaced with new robots, who.
Raising both his hands at multiple robots, Indra's hands, up to his wrists turned golden and soon the robots were enveloped within a circular barrier.
Moments later, the circular barrier began distorting and Indra's hands trembled and began losing control. He gritted his teeth hard and `remained completely still to not lose any concentration.
Soon enough, the robots exploded once again, leaving an extremely frustrated yet determined man in the room. It was then, he heard ringing sounds from the door, requesting permission to enter. Noticing a familiar face, he unlocked the door.
"Wow, someone's been practicing hard I see?" A voice entered Indra's ears as he noticed Alice enter his training room.
"You must be Alice, right? Indra asked as he headed over to the shelf and grabbed a towel.
"You know me?" Alice asked, surprisingly. Though she had only seen him from a distance, she hadn't had the time to officially meet this mysterious person who's been on her mind for a while.
"Indeed, I have. Alice Hedenberg, an extremely talented healer, a mercenary for Golden Enterprises, loyal to Richard, and well acquainted with Ema and Ricardo. Am I right?" Indra smiled as he wiped his hands with the towel and reached his hand out to Alice.
"Wow, I'm impressed. Yet here I am, who knows nothing about you." Alice replied astonishingly as she reciprocated the handshake. Indra smiled and remained quiet.
"You've done quite a number to this room, haven't you? It's fortunate Ric didn't see this, or he would be slashing his claws at you by now."
"Claws? Is that his one of his abilities?" Indra asked as he opened another door, leading them to a small common room. As Alice sat down, Indra went up to the fridge and grabbed two glasses and a fruit drink and brought it to the table.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Thanks. Yup, claws. He can use animafication and turn into a wolf, granting him enhanced strength and speed." Indra had heard of the term animafication and was rare even back in the day. The sole reason of it being rare was because it was a bloodline, passed down generation down to generation.
Its origin was unknown.
However, much like demonification, it transformed the user and granted them abilities related to the particular species. The only difference was there was no particular backlash, unlike those who practiced demonic arts.
"Interesting, but why didn't I see any of this when I checked his profile?" Indra couldn't help but wonder.
"It seems you've done your research. Boss himself, ordered to not attract unwanted attention from you-know-who." Alice responded as she immediately fell in love with the juice she was drinking.
"Is this mango?"
"Indeed, one of my favorites. Never get sick of it." He replied as he chugged the entire glass and refilled more, earning a chuckle from Alice.
"I'm not going to ask about why you came or how you came to Golden Enterprises, Mr. Indra. All I would request you of is just one promise. I hope you would look after the company much like our boss did. Because this is not just our company, it is our home." Alice's gentle demeanor turned serious as she gazed at Indra.
"Just Indra is good enough. Look, I don't know if I can make promises I cannot keep." Alice frowned upon hearing what he had just said, but the next words, relived her from her worries
"But I will make sure to protect this company like my own family. In due time, I hope to prove it through my actions."
"I will take your word on it."
"You're placing your trust on me? Aren't you being too hasty?" He asked doubtfully. Though there wasn't any malice in her words or intent, why was she so accepting of him?
"That's precisely why I can place my trust on you. I've seen people who have begged to earn their trust from me. However, I have a strong feeling that things might get better. After all, if boss had his faith on you, then why wouldn't I? Trust me, my intuition never failed me." Indra sighed and shook his head unbelievably.
Though there were so many cruel people in this world, she turned out to be an oddball among the haystack.
"Well don't get your hopes up. You're talking to a soon to be CEO, who trained for almost one and a half months his whole life." Indra laughed.
"Well then soon to be CEO, I'll do my best to help you in any way I can. It was nice meeting you Indra, see you soon at the board meeting." Saying so, she stood up gracefully left the training room.
'Interesting person.' Indra thought, as he remained seated, closed his eyes, and placed a towel over his head, slowly dozing off into heaven.
--
Light years away from earth, within a palace, a young and beautiful woman stood outside of her balcony reminiscing the fight which completely crushed her and her servant, back in Draconian planet.
Even to this date, she wasn't able to alleviate the haunting memories. No matter how much hatred she directed at him, she realized that such an emotion was deemed useless in front of a man who had unparalleled strength.
Her talent in her own world was considered one among the best of her age. People bowed down to her strength and her reputation no matter where she went. Her grandparents, were the strongest in the world and adored her with riches and power, unlike any sects or royal kingdoms had shown.
Even that was useless in front of that man, who was now her greatest enemy.
"Luna darling, why aren't you ready yet? Today is your birthday, and we are hosting a parade at the royal capital." An old figure, with both her hands on her back approached Luna, as she placed her hand over her head with love and affection.
Luna remained silent as she continued to gaze up into the blue horizon without a care in the world. What seemed ethereal and exquisite, was like a red and dark world to her.
The sounds of her screaming and the man who crushed her servant, continued to replay in front of her vividly.
"Aren't you going to talk to this feeble grandmother. Darling look at me, you desire revenge, don't you?" The grandmother's ever so loving face turned vile as her smile, made it all the more obvious.
Luna remained unperturbed and silently nodded her head. Hearing the term 'revenge' sounded melodious in her ears.
"I want to crush him with my own hands grandmother."
"Hmm, be patient for now. Once you reach King's realm, I will have you ingest something, which will increase your powers to a whole new level. After that, you can kill him and wash off the pain and humiliation he caused you."
No. It had nothing to do with humiliation. It was all about the power. Power, and power. Luna was always a power hungry person, and that was exactly why she came to Draconian planet. To retrieve the amethyst crystal.
"Really?! What kind of drink is it?" Luna recovered from her thoughts when she heard her grandmother's explanation.
"They call it the Dem-Potion, pretty pathetic name if you ask me. The reason your grandfather and I were able to reach the middle stages of Cosmic realm was due to this potion. Though our looks didn't change, at least I don't need to hunch anymore." She replied as she laughed creepily.
"Where would we find him though grandmother? He left before you and grandfather arrived, didn't he?" She confusingly asked.
"Worry not child, after some brutality and threatening, that dragon finally revealed that man's location. He's in the same domain as us, the Mortal Realm." She replied ecstatically.
"Where in Mortal realm, grandmother?" Luna asked hastily, wanting to enact her revenge as soon as possible.
"A few light years away from us. Don't worry so much about it and continue to train on reaching King's realm. Once you ingest the drink, then he's all yours." He grandmother replied sternly.
Luna was stunned when she heard of Indra's location. With a new goal in her mind, Luna and her grandmother left the balcony and returned to their chambers to prepare for her upcoming birthday parade.
