Chapter 7 - What I lack?

Chapter 7 - What I lack?

Not PR

----------------------------------------

After the tunnel was sealed by Russell to stop the pursuers from chasing them, they just ran down the dark well-crafted tunnel.

Two minutes in, the Russell noticed the Prince and his men were lagging behind and signaled the group to stop.

When Khan looked at the cause of the other group reason of lagging behind; it was of course the prince’s fault. His breathe was heavily, face was dark red, and sweat was profusely pouring down his face.

For the first time in his life he was able to run longer than 1 minute due to his adrenaline pumping from the fear of death.

“Tired already big brother?” Shiro laughed.

“Of course I would be. We just out ran a group of assassin. Father will be so proud of me!” Prince Mano replied while gasping for air.

“No way the only reason why we got away was because Russell lit the house on fire and sealed off the escape tunnel. You’re just tired because you’re lazy!”

“No I’m not lazy! I take my fitness and studies very seriously I’m in very advance classes at my school.”

“Oh really, I heard that you had father put you in the class using his connections.”

“Those are false rumors that are made from the commoners and minor nobles who bear jealously against my perfection.”

“If that’s true, then let’s see if you can run the rest of the way without stopping then!”

“I’m the prince of Romati why do I have to run!? Royal guards, royal bed mode!” Prince Mano screams at his royal knights.

Four of the royal knights stood in a square formation with their inside arms held flat out holding the person hand’s that standing beside them.

Jun and another royal knight picked up Prince Mano and laid him onto the four knights arms as if he was resting on a bed.

“Look only my royal knights have the capabilities to do this, don’t be jealous at their high level of training!” Prince Mano bragged.

Russell and Shilla looked at the royal knights with disgust on their faces. Jun and the royal knights looked away in shame.

“I have room for you two over here if you would like to ride on the royal bed.” Prince Mano said to Shiro and Hana as he patted his round stomach.

“No!” Shiro screamed and hid behind Khan holding him tightly.

Hana didn’t say anything, but just hid behind Khan with Shiro while trembling lightly.

“Prince Mano, it’s clear that this space that you speak of is too small to fit you all, but no worries we appreciate your generously.  I will take the burden of the girls off your hands so you can lounge in those men arms comfortably.” Khan said to Prince Mano.

He scooped up Shiro and Hana by using both his arms to lift them up on to his back.

“Hold on tightly.” Khan said to the girls.

Shiro wrapped her arms around Khan’s body, while Hana wrapped her arms around his head as she was a bit taller than Shiro.

Khan just looked at the Prince hoping this will keep him quiet for the rest of the trip. If the girls said no then he would’ve just complained, but if they said yes, then the girls would’ve complained the whole trip. Khan did this so there will be no losers, but he did have to suck up to the prince a bit.

He ran off deeper into the tunnel with no issues. Everyone was shocked to see this 6 year old boy carrying the two girls.

About a mile into the tunnels the well-crafted tunnel turned into a beautifully crafted tomb with designs on the wall telling the story the rise of a kingdom surrounding two brothers.

It depicts their struggles as commoner’s kids who were drafted into the army. It showed the two brothers becoming great generals who destroyed the corrupted kingdom that they fought for.

A new kingdom was created with one brother becoming king while another brother stayed as the great general. The rest of the story showed the life of the great general and how much he was loved by his citizens, soldiers, wife, and daughter. You could also tell that he loved them very much too.

At the end of the story it shows that an enemy country had attempted to assassinate the king at a royal dinner. The general had sacrificed his life for the king with his family following into the afterlife with him.

The country mourned for his death and he was buried in a tomb they built out of their love for him next to the house he had lived in with his family.

You could see the time and effort that was put into this tomb. It showed how much the people really loved the general.

Continuing down the hall while examining the designs and artwork, the group found themselves within the lobby of the tomb. It was a large spacious room with one hall leading to the escape route, one leading outside, and a third leading to the main chambers.

They were surprised that Khan was barely tired from carrying the two young girls, but Russell decided it was best to take a break. The royal guards carrying the prince were now tired from the weight of the heavy armor and Prince Mano.

The double doors leading the main chambers were massive in size that would require a large amount of men just to open the doors. On the doors were the cravings of the two brothers with their swords crossed at each other.

Prince Mano walked up to the door trying to push it opened, but exhausted himself after 10 seconds of pushing with all his might.

“Prince Mano you shouldn’t do that to the General main chambers doors” Jun said.

“Shut up! I’ll do what I want.” Prince Mano screamed back.

“Prince Mano please listens to me for once.”

“No, help me open this door now!”

The royal knights hesitated at the order of the prince. This was the tomb of one of the founding brother of the country of Romati known as the greatest general who sacrificed his life for his brother the king.

The soldiers were in a dilemma now.

They had to chose to open the door to avoid punishment by the current highest ranking person there, but disturbing one of the greatest heroes’ burial grounds instead. This man is looked up as a hero and goal for many of the young children of the kingdom of Romati. If anyone found out it can disgrace their family in the public eyes and punishment from other royal family members or high nobles can happen.

The second choice would stop the prince from disturbing the general resting place, but instead incur his wrath. The punishment from the prince can ruin their livelihood and disgrace their families. This would one of the worse punishments anyone can get because it can turn a prestige family into trash that would continue on to their children.

Understanding how these men were feeling from Khan’s experience as a being a soldier. Khan decided to put Shiro and Hana down to confront the prince.

“You’re being unreasonable to your men who have followed your command without a complaint this entire time.” Khan said to Prince Mano.

“Shut up you commoner, you wouldn’t understand how to feel to be in power like me.” Prince Mano replied angrily.

“I understand that you’re a complete idiot who doesn’t understand how to wield the power you’re given.”

“I’m an idiot? Who do you think you are talking to you commoner filth?” Prince Mano said as he grits his teeth.

Khan doesn’t say anything guessing Prince Mano will get even angrier from being ignored midway.

The prince face turned a bright red with his hands clenched.

“Ah!” Prince Mano screamed at the top of his lungs.

He walked toward Khan.

Shiro ran in front of Khan with Hana following behind her.

“Stop it brother!” She screamed.

He just kept walking toward them with his hand clenched.

Khan charged a small amount of lightning Ki into his hand, letting it fall onto the ground.

He manipulated the small lightning bolt to instantly flow across the floor unnoticeable to everyone into the left foot of the prince. Prince Mano lost control of his left foot falling forward with his face planting against the floor with a loud thud.

“….”

Everyone had their jaws-dropped from the sight of the limped prince. They couldn’t believe what just had happened in front of them.

“Prince!” Jun screamed as he ran to Prince Mano.

The royal guards came out of shock and followed behind Jun. It seemed like he was fine beside being unconscious and the bloody nose he had from the fall.

Jun cast [Heal] on Prince Mano as they carried him to the middle of the room to lie him down comfortably.

Russell and Shilla stared at Khan, but he just shrugs in return while Shiro and Hana stood there trying to figure out what just had happen.

Khan decided to walk toward the massive doors to take a closer look at the designs. He gently touched the door to feel the designs admiring the craftsmanship of the door. He turned around and walked toward Russell and the girls.

“Khan!” Shiro called out to him.

When he saw their faces their jaws-dropped were back down again with Shiro and Hana pointing behind him to the door.

‘What did I just do?’

Khan didn’t want to look behind him to see what they were staring at. He slowly turned his head at the door and quickly turned it back toward the girls.

‘Shit!’

The door had opened a bit just enough for one person to fit through the crack at a time.

Khan had stopped the prince from opening the door, but instead he somehow got the door to open. He looked back at Russell hoping for an answer for this situation.

When he looked at them everyone looked like they were  drowsy and fell asleep instantly.  Khan tried to scream out their names and run towards them, but couldn't control the action of his body.

His body turned around to walk toward the massive doors. Fog was slowly flowing out from the cracks of the door. The temperature of the air around him began to drop as he got closer to the door.

Khan couldn’t gather Ki to attempt to break free from whatever was controlling him. He felt like he was being sucked in to the black void beyond the door.

Once he passed through the crack of the doors he couldn’t see anything in front of him. The only light sources were from behind him from the lobby that was lit up by the torches set by Russell.

The lights from behind him disappeared as he continued to walk into the main chambers uncontrollably. He was completely engulfed by the darkness. He couldn’t see anything as the fog limited his view into the darkness making it seem like it was never ending.

Khan hasn’t felt this afraid in his life since he was first forced to learn [God’s Meditation]. He wasn’t afraid of the darkness, but he was afraid of the unknown that lie beyond it.

Every minute felt like an hour as he continued into the black void step by step. No matter how hard he tried, he still just couldn’t break away.

His body suddenly stopped as he just stood there. He could hear the sound of duo stone door grinding on the floor as it is being opened.

In front of him was a throne room that laid a large magic formation just like the one Yaza had in the castle back in his original world.

The magic formation pulsed at a constant pace as his body inched toward to the end of the room.

In the back of the room sat a large skeleton with plated black armor on a massive throne chair.

In front of him was a large 2-handed sword stabbed into the ground. On his left and right side he had one handed swords on both sides also stabbed into the ground.

The swords were completely rusted with energy flowing from the sword to the skeleton.

Behind the skeleton was a large clear floating crystal. In it was one of the most beautiful women Khan had laid his eyes on. She had long white hair pure as snow, flawless pale skin, and a face that khan just couldn’t find words for as he has never seen anyone so alluring and beautiful in his life. In her arms was a young girl around the age of 7-9 that looked exactly like her.

The skeleton moved its head toward Khan and just looked at him with its emptied eye socket.

“Little man from another world you were once extremely strong and still has the potentially to become strong once again, but you have a something you lack that denies you the right to become a real man.  What do you think it is?” A voice echoed in Khan’s head.

‘What I lack?’

Khan couldn’t figure out what he was lacking. Was it a type of emotions, some sort of power, or possibly an object that was supposed to be teleported with him?

He thought hard about it, but nothing came up. He didn’t feel like he lacked anything.  He had the power and knowledge that most people hard. Beside his body being young what could he possibly lack those denies him of manhood?

Khan just blankly stared at the skeleton.

The skeleton slowly raised his hand toward Khan and black energy flew from the hand to the skeleton into Khan’s head.

His body began to violently shake as tears just poured down his face profusely. The scene of Rin’s death just replayed into his head until he passed out from a mental shock.
