Chapter 6 - She's dead

----------------------------------------

When Khan got back to the house, Prince Mano had arrived, parking his carriages outside the house with 2 royal knights guarding the carriages.

Khan approached the house, but his path was blocked off by the two men.

“Halt, you are not allowed to enter the house unless you have permission from the Prince or you have to proof that you’re a resident here!” The man yelled.

“I’m currently a guest here under the care of Shiro, Russell, Shilla, and Hana.” Khan replied.

“How dare you address the royal princess and her Royal guards without using their honorable titles? How disrespectful! An assassin like you can’t fool us. we are trained to see through your disguise as a commoner boy.”

“You can ask Princess Shiro yourself then.”

“You can’t deceive us with your trickery. We know you’re trying to separate us so ambush us one by one. You despicable assassin! Prepare to die!”

“Don’t regret your next decisions.”

“[Warrior Strength]!” The men scream out in unison.

Their body began to glow a faint blue as they readied their swords to attack Khan.

Khan reinforced his body with a layer of Ki as they charge at him. Both men swing their swords in a downward aimed at Khan’s head.

Standing in the same position, Khan just grabs both of their swords with one hand each. The men were shocked from what had just happened. This young boy had singlehandedly stopped their attack with his bare hands.

They couldn’t pull their swords away from Khan’s grips no matter how hard they tried. Khan charged lightning Ki into his hand allowing it to flow into the swords following the arms up into the men metal armor.

Their bodies shake from being electrocuted from Khan’s lightning. Smoke came off the armor as they fell to their knees first then falling forward with their faces planted into the ground.

Khan only used enough lightning to know them out with only causing minor burns that can easily be healed with magic.

The men weren’t weak, it was just Ki body strengthening and Ki body reinforcement that Khan had and was capable of was at a level that couldn’t be matched easily in this world.

They used a magic known as [Warrior Strength] to double their strengths, but that still wasn’t enough to match Khan.

Khan had his body strength entirely by Ki, which double his strength. When he reinforces his body with Ki then it will stack with his already doubled strength. The level that his body strength is increased by depends on the level of his Ki Class and natural body strength.

If Khan fought with Russell, then the possibly that of them having an equal match in strength is high. Of course if you added experience then Khan’s experience would dwarfs Russell only because Khan lived his entire life on learning the art of warfare and constantly fighting in the battlefield to conquer the world.

That doesn’t mean Russell isn’t extremely strong to the standard of the government army. It’s just no one could compare to Khan when it came to strength and experience.

Khan knew that Shiro was special because of Russell. To have an experienced and powerful guard as Russell you would need to be someone special. Russell had the body of a seasoned warrior, he walked with confidence and experience, but most importantly he could sense Khan when he was walking in the room from outside the hall way.

That level is awareness isn’t normal even for Khan. Russell must have had gone through a lot of assassinations attempts.

Khan just didn’t expect Shiro to be a princess of the country instead he thought of her as possibly being a high noble or daughter of a powerful organization. If this is true, then that must mean she is either hiding from assassins or was exile in a location like this with the minimal staff she currently has.

He proceeded past the royal knight’s bodies and into the house where the Prince Mano and his men were on one side of the dining room with Shiro on the other side.

When Prince Mano saw Khan entered, he intermediately stood up with his finger pointed at Khan.

“You! I thought you were dead. You were gone for 3 minutes so we determined you were dead and left!” Prince Mano said to Khan as if he saw the dead come back to life.

‘The royal family I conquered during the war had an idiot just like this. I used him to sneak me and my men into the castle wiping out the entire royal family in an instant.’

Khan evaluation was already low to begin with at their first meeting hence why he just walked away, but now it hit rock bottom.

He had distaste for royal families and politicians as they tend to waste his time sucking up to him. Khan was a straight forward person as he wanted the person to be direct and concise to not waste his time. This is something that wasn’t commonly used in politics, but more in the military as they followed a command hierarchy.

Khan would’ve walked away by now as it was a better choice than mindless killing.

Normally people would get extremely angry if they were flat out ignored, but Khan was one of the greatest masters of his time. They were happy that he didn’t kill them instead.

This meeting with the Prince was something that had to do with Shiro so Khan had to stay no matter what to figure out the situation between the two and the next course of actions that would be taken.

Shiro thought Prince Mano had done something to Khan. She couldn't control her anger.

“Brother, what did you do to Khan?” Shiro said to Prince Mano demanding an answer.

“Nothing I just met him on the road and decided graced him with my presence.” Prince Mano replied.

“Graced him with your presence? You tried to rape him!? Hana asked Prince Mano showing a frightening expression.

‘Here she goes again.’ This wasn’t the first time Hana had misunderstood something.

“Brother you filthy you demon, you tried to get me, Hana, Shilla to be your wives and now you’re forcing Khan!?” Shiro screamed at Prince Mano.

Hana started crying with tears pouring down her face.

Prince Mano face turned to an extreme red from the embarrassment.

“Shut up you daughter of a whore that wasn't my plan at all!” Prince Mano screamed back at Shiro.

“You bastard don’t call my mother a whore!” Shiro screamed back with her face burning up with anger.

“You should be lucky that I’m willing to take you as my wife after you been exile!”

“Who would want to marry someone disgusting as you?”

“Disgusting? You don’t understand what perfection is.”

“What is it then, you monster?”

“It’s me! I am perfection! I’m the Prince of Romati, I have money, I’m the best looking man ever, and I’m extremely strong. Everyone wants to love me, even the men too! You don’t understand my generously you whore of a daughter.”

“….”

There was an awkward silence made with Prince Mano royal guard Jun covering his face in embarrassment.

“Ok now that’s over let’s eating some dinner.” Shilla said cheerfully.

“What do you mean that’s just the end of that?” Khan asked Shilla

“This is just a normal sibling fight that constantly happens between them when they lived together at the castle. Prince Mano isn’t a man who will take action.” Shilla replied.

“Shut up women and bring food out, I’m hungry!” Prince Mano screamed at her.

Shiro and Russell had their fists clenched from anger. If they could, there would be a possible chance that the prince would’ve been unable to talk anymore or just dead by now.

Khan decided to get back at the prince with small pranks later for the things he said to Shiro.

They all sat down at the table with each party across from each other. Prince Mano had 6 royal knights leave the dining room and wait in the living room while they have breakfast.

Khan was praying that today’s breakfast wasn’t as bad as yesterday’s food.

When appetizer came out Khan just wanted to just kill everything within a mile radius. The appetizer was just a lemon cut in half with a spoon and a cup of hot tea.

Hana who just finally stopped crying looked like she going to cry again from the food.

Shiro was still burning with rage didn’t even look at the food bought out to her.

Prince Mano and Russell both ate the lemons and gulp down their hot teas while Russell was still eyeing Prince Mano for bad mouthing his wife.

When entrée came out it surprisingly looked normal. It was just two eggs cooked sunny side up with a toast on the side.

Before Khan tried it he wanted to see Hana’s reaction. Hana is a pure and innocent girl who has no problem showing her emotion. She the age of 9 who was raised to be Shiro maid, but compared to Shiro she still wasn’t as mature.

It wasn’t a bad thing, but some people found her clumsiness and free spirit rather cute. It could ask help increase the mood in the atmosphere depending on the situations too to reduce the tension.

When Khan looked over to Hana she was shaking in fear from the normal looking plate of eggs and toast. He decided that it would be best to not eat this if Hana feared for her life from one plate.

Khan decided to give his Lemon plate and entrée to Prince Mano. Of course the Prince didn’t reject the offer of more food. Khan pushed the plates to cover the edge of the table with the lemon on the edge of the plate.

Khan charged a small charge of Ki into his hand trying to condense it as much as he can. For what he was about to do needed a large amount of concentration for the high level manipulation he was about to pull off.

The prince stuffed all the eggs and toast in mouth from Khan’s plate in one go. It was a disgusting sight to see, but what going to happen next was going to be even more disgusting.

Khan controlled the small lightning to zip across under the table into his half lemon that was given by Khan. The lemon blew up from the insides and lemon juice flew into the princes eyes.

From the impact he screamed in pain while spitting out all the food from his mouth on to Jun who sat next to him. His eyes were burning from the lemon juice, but no one but Jun cared about what was happening to the Prince as they were more focused on how that had happened.

Shiro was giggling from this sight of the prince crying from his eyes burning. Of course it wasn’t lethal to the Prince, but he was spoiled as a child never feeling any pain or discomfort. If Shiro was hit with the same thing, she would probably just cry a bit from the pain, but that was it.

Shilla came out running from the disturbance.

“What happened here?” Shilla asked Jun while panicking slightly.

Before Jun could answer Russell put on a serious face and gestured them to be quiet. Jun understood something was going on so he covered the prince mouth to allow Russell to concentration. The room became quiet with only the quiet sound of the prince screamed being muffled from Jun hands.

“We’re surrounded by 100 people that are creeping toward the house.” Russell said quietly.

“Shit did they take out my sentries in front of the building?” Jun asked.

“It might have been them, we need to call the soldiers from the living room to regroup with us and escape through the secret passage.” Russell replied.

It was actually Khan who knocked out the sentries left to guard the front of the house, but he didn’t say anything.

They call over the soldiers to regroup with them and head into the basement using the door under the staircase.

Once in the basement Russell lit a torch with the intent to burn down the house, but was stopped by Shiro.

“Wait, we forgot about mother! she still is upstairs!” Shiro said to Russell.

“Princess she’s dead, you know it. We can’t risk any lives for her portrait. We have more at the castle.” He replied.

“No! I’ll go myself!” She screamed at Russell.

Khan grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes.

“I’ll get her!” Khan said to Shiro.

He let go of her hand and walked toward the stairs, but Shiro grabbed his hands to stop him from continuing.

She knew the risk of going back upstairs. She knew her mother was dead, but still couldn’t accept it, yet she couldn’t let Khan go off to die just for a lie she had created herself.

They stood there in the dark in silence. You could hear multiple footsteps entering the house searching for them. Tears poured down Shiro face as she looked at Khan.

She didn’t want him or anyone else to die. She reached out for the torch in Russell hand pulling both Khan and Hana hands to it. Together they lit the place on fire destroying the lie she had created within the house to feed her denial.

They ran into the darkness of the tunnels sealing off the exit to deny any enemy to continue their pursuits.
