Ktak eyed Ames with a smile. Still so nervous… The food was delicious and so was the wine. It was getting to her head too. Time to lighten the mood. She waited, until Ames put down his glass, pushed the little table out of the way, reached out her long slender hands and pulled Ames straight into a hug and then settled down on a pile of pillows with the little man on top.
Ames could not really find much to complain about landing face first in Ktak’s cleavage but the necessity to breathe made him struggle a bit higher. She laughed and helped him find a more sustainable position without letting him go. Ames settled on her chest, looking up at her face with a frown.
“Why me?” he had to ask.
“I haven’t even thought about it…” she had to admit.
“But now that I do… First, I liked your work. I could always tell if something had been fixed by you, or someone else from maintenance, it had a quality to it.” she told him.
“That got me curious about you. So, I stalked you a little bit…” she told him with a side eye.
“Inspecting things, uh?” asked Ames chuckling.
She nodded. “And then it just sort of happened…” she said.
Ames climbed a bit higher to be at eye level with her.
“Are you sure this is what you want? It’s not going to be easy you know…” he asked worried.
Suddenly he found himself lying on the pillows below her. Her hair was cascading around her face.
“When I saw what Mtak did to you, it was most terrifying moment. I thought I would lose you then… I will fight anyone for you!” she said fiercely.
Ames, who had never had anyone to stand up for him, felt overwhelmed in the feelings this evoked.

He put his arms around her neck and pulled her into a kiss. Her initial surprise faded into enthusiasm of exploring this new sensation. One that Ames had to slow down a bit remembering Stella’s warning. Crossing Stella was clearly not worth it. They had time.
There weren’t enough pillows here to comfortably cuddle. And there was one more bottle of wine back in his place… Ames suggested they should go back there and investigate if that bottle was as good as the two they already had emptied.
Ktak agreed quite enthusiastically.
Commander Ktak woke up and was momentarily confused. She was not in her own bed and she was only wearing her lacy underwear. The pretty dress was on the floor. Then something warm moved between her arms on top of her and she looked at Ames peacefully sleeping on her boobs, smiling. It had been a nice night. Earth wine was... interesting. It made one stupid but in a good way. A lot of things had gotten cleared between her and Ames. She felt rather happy, even though the bed was too small for her... Well, he would soon be moving in at her quarters anyway, if she managed to wrangle through the paperwork. She tried to remember the regulations surrounding this sort of thing, there were sure to be some, but as she had never seen them applicable to herself, she had just ignored them. Stella knew for sure and she was quite confident would help her. Until that was done it was probably best not to make this general knowledge.
She paged Stella to bring her work uniform. Sneaking around in a dress at this hour was not going to go unnoticed. Sneaking out from a compartment she was not expected to be in wearing her normal clothes might, especially if Stella agreed to be the designated spotter. Ames was also waking up and looking a bit sheepish in his underwear. Ktak laughed, gave him a small kiss, and told him about her plan to keep the ship in the dark for now about them.
Ames mulled this over as he was getting dressed. He was somewhat relieved, to be honest. Explaining to his coworkers what was going on with him and The Commander was not something that he had been looking forward to. And the regulations probably had something to say about this too. If he remembered it correctly, couplings were not allowed within the chain of command. If they happened regardless one party would need to transfer. But the Commander was top of the chain. There was no way of transferring within the ship to avoid it. And leaving the ship and Ktak… did not sound attractive at all. In short, it was dawning on Ames, that they were in a bit of a pickle that could get bad for her in particular very fast. She had much more to lose after all. But knowing humans, he did wonder how long they would manage to hide it.
