Munich: Varnie Tech

Dr. Varnie was in his 50s and had short black hair with white marks and had blue eyes in one eye and the other was dull brown. The dull brown was behind a scouter looking eyewear. This device allowed him to have x-ray and far vision. He wore the black cloak of the Phantom and he was at his lab. This room he was in was massive and had a glass box. It had white metal walls and the sounds of factories could be heard from inside of this concealed room. The glass box contained the darkness clone of Nova. Varnie peered into the box and two people appeared behind him. One was a cloaked figure who wore a dark black cloak with the Phantom logo and had a hood concealing his identity. This person was likely the creator of Phantom when it was a cult and then when it escalated into an organisation. The other was a teenage girl who had long black hair with light blue highlights. She wore circular goggle looking glasses over her dark brown eyes and she had white skin. She wore a white trench coat and jeans and a light blue blouse. She seemed to be frightened around the cloaked figure.

The dark Nova clone, who was a black coloured spirit who glowed purple. He had the same hair as regular Nova. A straight and short fix. The same robes.

“Varnie.” says the cloaked figure. “This is him?”

Varnie nods.

“You can thank Adrian. He did his job well, huh?” he said.

“Excellent,” he says. “With Dark Nova’s help, we can locate the tomb of Death as well as the two relics required to get him to resurrect.”

“It turns out, sir.” says the girl. “Dark Nova has no memory where Nova had banished the relics.”

“He doesn’t?” asks the cloaked figure. “No. I am sure you are not looking hard enough. Try checking his memory with some device.”

“Even a basic memory helmet will be unable to grab the locations.” says the girl. “My father and I would need some time to create a new design that could penetrate the minds of powerful beings.”

The cloaked figure sighed.

“How much time do you two need?” asks the cloaked figure.

“A day at least.” says Varnie. “Abigail and I can make designs pretty quickly.”

“Alright then,” he said. He turned around and forced his hand into the wall which created a portal which he walked through. Abigail Varnie was actually George Varnie’s daughter and only child. She had inherited Varnie’s love for tech at a young age and is pretty smart when it comes to tech.

“Father.” Abigail said.

“Yes, Abi?” he asks.

“Your eye,” says Abigail. “It contains a fascinating design that you never talk about. There is a small piece of urisnium inside.”

Urisnium is a human made compound element that was made of altered uranium. Its atomic number is 104, and it has an atomic mass of 270. This element wasn’t truly documented by anyone except for anyone at Varnie Tech. Urisnium is able to produce so much energy despite being radioactive that it can make the impossible possible. Varnie’s blue eye was bright electric blue with grey spiral markings going through. It was artificial and powered by urisnium, which glowed a bright blue. There are components within the eye which remove the toxicity of the element. This eye was replaced when Varnie reached his older age.

“What about my eye?”

“If we could make a helmet made of urisnium, we may be able to find the locations or even latitude and longitude coordinates of your desired relics.” she said.

“I don’t have any more of that urisnium.'' he said.

“Why not?” she asks.

“I just don’t. Two geniuses I used to have in my staff were the ones who discovered it.” he said. “They managed to perform an experiment that left me with 15 grams of this urisnium. They passed away and now the experiment data book is now gone forever. I had checked their apartment here in Munich recently and the book was GONE. The two had a journal where they wrote everything.”

The couple he is speaking off his Eric’s parents who were both geniuses and pretty much invented the urisnium. The journal that info on how to replicate the experiment was hidden in the apartment and it turns out that Eric had actually been given it along with the trenchcoat. On the back of the black journal with yellow pages, it had a note saying that if the owner would pass away, the book shall be given to a family member. As a child, Eric was able to read it and understand all of the formulas. He was curious about what his parents had been up to.

Dr. Varnie had remembered that the Korean couple that he had killed had also had a son and that maybe he was involved with the book.

“Maybe their son has it.” he said.

“Who?” asks Abigail.

“Eric Yun,” he said. “I am going to guess he has the formula in creating the urisnium.”

“How can we track him down, father?” asks Abigail.

“Just find him on my computer and it should be able to use the satellites to hopefully and instantly find his location.” says Dr. Varnie. Abigail runs out of the room and into the halls of Varnie Tech. She rushes to an elevator and clicks the button. The elevator arrives, she steps inside of the cool white elevator as she hits a button and goes for the top floor. She arrives and heads to his office, which is at the end of the hallway. She takes a turn and heads inside of her father’s office. She sat down in his black chair and typed up Eric Yun on the computer. The computer opens up with the display.l The computer is massive, taking up the space of most of the office and it looked super rich and futuristic and fancy. She finds him and opens a map. She finds that his location is above the sea. Meaning he is on a plane.

“Plane?” she says. She starts typing and clicking super fast as she moves the pages and tabs on the computer around. “Where is the plane headed?”

The computer displays information about the flight. It turns out, the flight was to Munich, Germany.

“Oh.” she says. “He’s walking right into my father’s trap.”
