Hamburg Restaurant

We had arrived in Hamburg and headed for a restaurant to eat. The restaurant was new and served German cuisine. The building was beige brown and made up of bricks. It was quite popular, Charlie and I put on disguises. Charlie put on his Hippy Jake personna and I wore a mask bought from a souvenir shop. The mask had no eye holes and was made of transparent materials that made me see. It was painted grey and we walked into the restaurant to eat.

“I’m sure this is dangerous.” says Charlie.

“We will be fine.” I said. “I’m hungry.”

We walked inside of the restaurant and sat down at a table near the back. The black covered menus sat on the table as we picked them up and read the foods on the menu. 2 minutes later, the waiter came over to us.

“Was möchten Sie heute essen, meine Herren.” he said.

What would you like to eat, gentlemen.

He wore a black suit and had long blonde hair, blue eyes and a beard.

“Schnitzel.” I said. “Für beide von uns”

Schnitzel. For the both of us.

The waiter nodded and he walked away and removed all the menus off the table. I sat down for a bit, I noticed a young girl sitting alone at the table next to us and because of her long black hair and circular glasses, I realised it was Abigail right away.

“It’s Abigail.” I whisper.

Charlie nods.

“She was the one that dropped me and Jordan into that pit with the dog.” he whispered back. I got up from my chair and came to her table.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“Can I sit here?” I ask.

“Uhh. Sure.” she said. I sat down at the table and she didn’t know who I was. She just glanced at me. I began to speak.

“What’s up with the mask?” she says.

“I have some facial errors I don’t really want to show.” I said, quickly.

“Oh.” she says.

“Do you know Dr. Varnie?” I ask.

“I do.” she said. “I work at his tech company. He is my father.”

“What’s he up to?” I asked.

“He’s just working,” said Abigail. It was a moment of silence. The waiter came over with the Schnitzel I had ordered for myself and brought it to me. Abigail had ordered fish and chips and so the waiter brought them so that we could eat.

“Thanks.” I said. The waiter smiled and walked away. As I began to eat, I realised I was wearing a mask so I decided to hold on to the food.

“So what do you do in your free time?” asks Abigail.

“I am a pretty big fan of tech. I love analysing and making tech of my own.” I said.

“Same. I have a dream to make my father’s tech world come true.”

“Tech world?” I paused.

She nodded.

“My father taught me that tech is everything and that it should be incorporated into our lives. I wish this would be a reality.” she said.

“Sounds interesting.” I said. I pulled out my phone and showed a picture of myself, when I didn’t have my eye sliced and replaced and I wasn’t wearing a mask. This picture was taken a few months ago.

“Do you know this boy?” I ask.

“He’s cute.” she says. “I’ve seen him at my tech company. My father said he tried to kill him. What a shame.”

I was genuinely shocked. I was surprised a girl even liked a nerd like me. I just shook off and began to speak.

“This is Eric Yun.” I said. “His parents were killed by your father. Your father stole most of their designs and tech.”

She stammered.

“That’s not true.” she says.

“Yes. It. Is.” I said. She stared through my mask and saw the green eye glowing.

“Who are you? Why are you telling me this.”

“Your father is NOT a good person. I want to be the person who brings justice for this boy’s parents.” I said. “I am the ghost who will haunt your father for his actions.”

“My justice.” she says. “What do you mean by that?”

“I’ma kill him.” I said. She took a fork and tried to stab me and the fork and her arm passed right through me.

“No way.” she says. “You really are a ghost.”

I took the mask off to show my face to her. My face was the same, but my left eye had two sword slicing scars in an x symbol and a bright green eye to replace it.

“You’re Eric.” she says. “You’ve been wanted all throughout Germany. How do you think you will get away with that?”

“I will.” I said. “I hope you can do what is right and turn away from your father.”

Charlie had already eaten his food and had paid and left the restaurant. I turned invisible and grabbed the food and left the store. Abigail looked at me as I vanished along with the food. She wondered what I was gonna do. She quickly left the restaurant to go speak to her father about this, assassination attempt.
