Lucien was in his apartment and figuring out things he could make with light energy. He then experimented and experimented until a small light spirit radiated off his hands. This little guy made use of his power, floated facing him and waved.
“What’s your name?” asks Lucien.
“I don’t have one.” says the spirit.
“Nova.” says Lucien. “That will be your name.”
Nova was a small looking cartoony guy and he was a foot tall. He sat on Lucien’s shoulder like a companion and it smiled at Lucien. Lucien smiled back, realising what he could create using only his power alone. The two of them worked together and cleaned Lucien’s apartment. Then, they washed the dishes together and Lucien even picked out some clothes for his friend.

“Does that look good Guardian?” he asks. He puts the white and yellow robe outfit on him and he smiles and nods. They spent the day together and had a lot of fun.
…
Lucien awoke in the morning and found that Nova grew to be human sized and mimicked the human hair and eyes and height. Lucien was shocked. Lucien awoke to Nova giving him a fist bump and the two fist bumped and started to play ping pong against each other and do the same routine chores all over again. There was one time when Lucien was carrying some boxes and Nova pitched in to help. They were best buds. Truth is, Lucien was happy to have a companion because he didn’t have any brothers and he was always outcasted in school for being different. He wasn’t able to make friends.
