Dars School

The car drove up to the school, located on the outskirts of Paris where you could see the Eiffel Tower from afar. He opened the door and we headed outside . I opened the trunk and grabbed my luggage and walked inside of the school. The school was massive and was titled, Académie Dubois pour les étudiants responsables. The school was gray and white and had a modern looking roof. It was one of those snobby rich kid schools and was massive. It had a pool, three fields and an underground entertainment area. I was taking a tour and then I met the principal, Delacour

I was inside of the office after my tour and Delacour was eager to let me inside of the school and give a good image for the school, but I honestly didn’t care.

“I am so glad you could join us at Dars.” says Delacour. “It will be a pleasure having you here and I am sure you will be liked among the students here.”

“Alright.”

“One more thing before you go.” says Delacour. I turned back to give him the attention.

“I heard what mayhem you’ve caused in your prior school. That will not happen here, understood.”

“Yes.” I replied. The man in the suit then escorted me out of the office, led me through the white and gray halls of DARS and then outside to a unit which seemed to be the dorm rooms for each student. I had my room on the third floor, the highest and to get there, we went inside of an elevator. The elevator reached the top and the suit guy and I walked out where he took my room keys and handed them to me.

“Ta maison.” he said. “Trois cent deux.”

I looked at the door and held my keys tight. I glanced at the door number. 302. I opened the door and walked inside of the room, it was very rich looking and then when my parents had told me they were gonna send me to some school in France I was mad, but this is the kind of luxury I deserved!

I was ecstatic when I dropped my stuff and walked around it.

“Merci, monsieur.” I said. He smiled and closed the door leaving me in my room. I looked around and saw the time. It was 1:30. This meant that school was already going on and I already saw all the students. They didn't seem too bad. School ended here at 2, so I wasn’t gonna be a part of the day. I just organized my stuff in my new dorm and went to sleep dans mon lit. My room was overly modern and had a small kitchen and dining area on the right and a mini fridge full of drinks. On the left, was the sleeping area and bathroom. My shower was huge and the shower head looked really high tech. I also had a small desk inside of the bedroom and a laundry machine as well. I also had a balcony with this really pretty view, but then I noticed the school uniform that was hung up for me, which kinda sucked. Not to mention, there is also room service for chads like me. The room service phone and instructions were all in French, which was kind of annoying. Eventually it was 9 PM and I woke up from sleeping for too long. I got out of my bed and went to open my balcony. I walked outside and then I breathed in the fresh France air and glanced at the Eiffel Tower and then to the balconies to the side. I glanced to my right and a girl wearing a white beret was standing there, doing the same thing I was. She wore a yellow french skirt and a white shirt. She had blonde hair and blue eyes and glanced at me.

“Qui êtes-vous? Je ne t'ai jamais vu auparavant.” she said to me.

I’m kinda meh at french. Yeah, I come from a country who speaks French, but that doesn’t mean I am a pro at it. I didn’t know and didn’t understand a word she said. So I replied with the dumbest answer ever.

“Oui.” I said.

“Oui?” she says. “D’accord? Quel est ton nom?”

“Martin McDonald.” I replied back. I knew that one.

“Depuis combien de temps êtes-vous ici?” she asked. I stuttered for a couple of seconds and I didn’t want to embarrass myself so I answered with the best answer ever.

“Oui.” I said.

The girl and I both started to laugh like crazy because we both knew what I had said was wrong and stupid. She just smiled at me.

“I’m sorry.” I said. “I don’t speak French very well.”

“It’s alright.” she said. I was shocked that she knew english.

“I am Leah Langois by the way.” said Leah. “What was asked before was how long have you been here?”

“I just came today.” I said. “I am from Onoda in Canada.”

“Onoda.” says Leah. “My dad used to work there.”

“He did?” I ask.

She nods.

“My dad passed away a little after I was born, it turns out that being a superhero means that super villains always want to attack.”

“I get it.” I said. “Wait, your father was a superhero?”

She nods.

“Lucien Langois. He was part of the EIT in Onoda.” says Leah.

“I have friends whose parents worked for EIT.” I say. “They are really good people.”

“Oh yeah?” asks Leah. Leah thought to herself. She was getting curious if there were others like her.

“Do they have powers?” she asks.

“Yeah.” I nod. “Why?”

Suddenly, Leah lifted her hand in the air and it started to glow and like a star in the night sky. It was super bright and then she removed the brightness. I was shocked.

“Woah!” I said.

“My power is light, I inherited it from my father. Now that I’ve told you about my power, don’t go off spewing it to everybody please.” says Leah.

“Yeah.” I said. “You can count on me. I know a friend who has ice powers and even fire powers too.”

“That’s so cool.” says Leah. She yawns. “I’m kind of tired. See you, in the morning?”

“Yeah.” I replied. “In the morning.”

I walked back inside of my dorm and went right back to sleep.
