The carpet was flying in the sky at a very high speed and Sam was sleeping peacefully. He woke up as the sun was about to rise.

This mat is very useful; it flies even when I am asleep.

The carpet flew down and landed on the ground, Sam had seen a small town up ahead and he wasn’t in a hurry so he slowly walked towards it. After walking for about 5 minutes he entered the town, the town was beautiful and didn’t have many houses. There were many shops in the street and they were selling various things, he didn’t want to spend much time in the town but he couldn’t fly during the day so he had to find something to entertain himself. He was hungry so he searched for a place to eat, after searching for few minutes he found a shop.

There were many people within the shop and it was busy, he found an empty place at a corner and went to sit. Even after waiting for 5 minutes no one came to take his order.

“Waiter, Take my order.”

Only after calling, someone took his order. He received his breakfast and after eating he went out of the shop. He asked people if there is any interesting place but there wasn’t any so he strolled around the town to find something entertaining. He walked around for two hours visiting every shop and stall.

As he was walking along the street he saw a car and it was approaching towards him at a very high speed. The people were avoiding it, and as the street was narrow many people were having difficulty avoiding the car but the car didn’t show any signs of slowing down. A small girl was unable to avoid the car and was about to get hit, Sam jumped and saved the girl. He barely managed to save her, she was crying in his arms.

The people were shouting and cursing and some people came to pick up Sam.

Someone shouted, “Damn! That mayor’s son is getting more outrageous.”

“Yeah even the police don’t do anything.” Someone added.

Sam got up and looked at the girl; she was wearing a green skirt and had a thin body. She looked as if she hadn’t eaten for days; he picked her up and consoled her to stop her from crying.

Sam shouted, “Does anyone know her?”

A woman came forward and said, “She is Anna’s daughter.”

No one came forward and took the girl from him so he decided to take her home; he had seen that the girl was weak and was barely able to walk. He thought that she must be hungry so he went to a restaurant and ordered for something to eat. The girl hadn’t spoken a word to him but when the food arrived she quickly ate it and asked for more. After eating they went out of the restaurant. He wanted to take her home but he didn't know the address.

Sam knelt down and looked at her. “Alright girl, take me to your home.”

The girl nodded but didn’t say anything; they walked for 10 minutes and finally reached the girl’s house. It was outside the town and the house was an old hut beside the forest, they entered the hut and saw a middle aged woman on bed. She was coughing and looked weak; Sam had already bought some food because he thought that the family must be poor. The girl ran and sat beside the woman and said something, the woman had also noticed that someone had come so tried to get up.

“No need to get up.” Sam said.

“Thank you for saving her. She is shy with strangers so please don’t mind her.” The woman said.

Sam looked around and found some kitchen utensils; he served the food to her and stood at the door. Sam wanted to know what her problem was so he used the identify skill.

The woman also understood that Sam had something to say so when the girl looked at her she nodded.

The girl took the money and said, “Thank you”

Sam smiled but after she left he had a serious expression, he looked at the woman. The woman’s aura also changed and she emitted killing intent.

Sam smiled and said, “Miss Anna, I mean no harm.”

“How do you know my name? Did the organization send you?” She roared.

“Miss no need to be wary, I am not from any organization.” Sam said calmly.

“Who are you then?” She asked warily.

“I am called Sam, I am power user like you, your power is very interesting and I need you to work for me.”

“Since you know about me then you should know that I am dying.” She said weakly.

“I know about your condition and I can save you.”

Anna jumped out of the bed and asked, “Can you really save me? If you can then please save me.”

I need to do something so that she doesn’t betray me.

“Of course I will save you but you will have to work for me?”

“I will if you save me I will work for you.” She nodded.

How should I intimidate her?

“If you betray me then remember that I will kill the girl and then torture you to death.” Sam said the word very seriously.

Did that work? I hope that she is intimidated.

Sam took out the potion from the inventory and gave it to Anna; she didn’t hesitate to drink it. After drinking the potion her face became rosy from pale. She could feel that the red liquid worked.

Anna bowed and said, “Thank you so much. I will work for you.”

 Sam smiled and said, “We will leave at the night.”

Sam waited for minutes but the girl didn’t come back and he began to worry. He looked at Anna and saw that she was really anxious.

“Why hasn’t your daughter returned?”

“She isn’t my daughter, she is my brothers.” She said shyly.

Why is she getting shy?

And did something happen to the girl? I should go and check.
