Sam wore the new clothes that he had bought earlier. After saying bye to his mother he went to buy some gifts for Angela. Although now he didn’t have to worry about money but he still bought a cheap gift. After half an hour Sam reached the place where the party was held, it was held in a big building and was a famous hotel. Angela had left the invitation card in his house so after showing the card he was allowed to pass. Angela’s party was held at the roof top so he went to the top, after opening the door he saw many people with drinks in their hand and chatting, he was searching for Angela as she was the only person he knew. After looking for a while he found her chatting with her friends, there were 5 boys and 4 girls with her. He knew most of the people as they used to be his friends, Angela too saw him and called him. Angela was the most beautiful girl among them she was around 5’7 had white skin and round face, her body was like that of the model overall she was beautiful. After Sam reached there he greeted her and wished her a happy birthday. The boys and girls weren’t happy to see him and it could be seen in their faces but he didn’t care and he smiled at them.

“Angela: Sam, it has been years since I saw you, I thought you wouldn’t come.” She was truly happy to see him. She caught his hand pulled him towards the group. The boys weren’t happy to see that but they couldn’t do anything.

“Angela: You have grown taller haven’t you?”

Sam had changed since he got the system, he was now taller around 5’9 and had toned body. His face was white and he looked healthier, he also was more handsome than before. The girls in the group when looked at him closely they were impressed, and started to chat with him. When the boys saw that they grew more jealous, they scolded Sam within their heart. When Sam was rich he was at the spotlight and even when poor he was at spotlight so how could they tolerate that, one of the boys thought to humiliate him so the boys separated from the group and called Sam towards them. Sam knew they are up to something but still he couldn’t refuse it so he went towards them.

“Sam: Rick, why did you call me?”

“Rick: Sam, I know you are poor so as a friend I want to help you. Here take this money we boys collected to help you.” 

Rick shoved the money in Sam’s hand. Sam knew they are humiliating him so he threw the money in the floor. They were 

at a corner so nobody noticed them.

“Rick: Don’t tell me it isn’t enough if you want more why don’t you beg me maybe I’ll consider giving you more.”

“Sam: I don’t want your money.” After saying that he wanted to leave but when he heard the next sentence he grew angry.

“Rick: Sam you look healthier and rich than before, did some rich lady take your interest and gave you money or did you find a new father?”

“Sam: You dare speak about my mother, you son of a bitch. I’ll kill you.” Sam was about to punch Rick but Lilly’s voice made him stop so he went to another place.

“Rick: Sam I am correct aren’t I?” He pointed at Sam and stated laughing the other boys laughed as well. Sam was very angry at the moment and he wanted to kill Rick but because of a task he calmed himself down.

Sam went to a corner and looked at the task.

Task (Humiliate Rick)

Humiliate Rick by giving a better gift to Angela.

When Sam saw the task he was happy as the exp it gave was enormous so he began to think about what gift he should give to Angela. He knows Rick’s family is rich so he will have to give a gift more precious to complete the task. He too wanted Rick to be humiliated so he asked Lilly for advice.

Master since that bastard is rich the gift you bought earlier can’t be compared to his. I can see that the son of a bitch is in love with her so if you give a valuable gift he will be very humiliated. I can’t tell what gift he will give so I think that you should give Angela the necklace that you got when you slaughtered the chicken. It is very valuable and although the crowd may not recognize the necklace the system will and your task will be complete.

Sam was surprised at Lilly speaking in that way. Lilly saw that Sam was surprised so she tried to explain.

Master I was angry at how he humiliated you so I couldn’t control myself, I don’t talk in such a way so don’t misunderstand me.

Sam told Lilly he didn’t care about such things and assured her that he didn’t misunderstand her. The idea Lilly gave was the best one so he decided to go with that idea. He wanted to give the necklace to his mom but she would ask him various questions so he didn’t give her. Sam had identified the necklace and it was indeed valuable, but to complete the task he decided to give her.

 After Angela cut he cake it was time to give her gifts. One by one everybody started giving her gifts; Sam decided to give the gift at last. Rick too had not given the gift and finally he stood up and went towards her.

“Rick: Angela, Happy birthday here is a small gift from me; I hope that you will like it.”

 Rick took out a small box from it diamond earrings. Everyone was shocked because it was a very precious gift and the earrings cost around 4000$, even Angela was shocked because it was very valuable. She thanked him for the gift and took it. Everyone thought that it was over so they started to leave but Angela was still standing in her place, some were curious so they just looked why she was still there. Finally Sam stood from his place and walked towards her. He had already taken out the necklace from inventory and now he just had to give her.

“Sam: Happy birthday Angela, here is a small gift from me.” He took out the necklace and gave it to her.

The necklace wasn’t good looking and it looked as if taken out from trash. Rick was still there and when he looked at what Sam gave he laughed and walked towards them.

“Rick: Sam, couldn’t you afford any gift? Why are you giving her a necklace that you took out from a trash?” Sam didn’t care about him and neither did Angela, she didn’t care about Sam’s gift she was happy that Sam at least attended her party. A middle aged man was looking at them and he wasn’t far from them, when he saw the necklace he hurried towards them.

“Man: Girl, can you show me the necklace?” He asked Angela and Angela didn’t mind showing him so she gave him the necklace. After looking for a while he looked to Sam and asked him where he got it. Sam lied and told him that it was at his home and his mother gave it to him.

“Man: Boy can you sell it to me I’ll give any amount you ask.” Although Sam was tempted but he was a man of principle so he refused.

“Sam: I already gave it to her so she is the owner. If she wants then you can buy it.” Angela was urging Sam to sell it so that he can have money but Sam refused. Rick was still there and wondered how a thrash necklace could me so valuable, he thought that the man must be in co-operation with Sam and he is just increasing the value of necklace. Rick was proud of himself he thought that he is able to see through their scheme.

“Rick: Don’t think I don’t know what you two are doing. You are trying to make this necklace look more valuable than my gift. Dream on.”

“Man: Who are you to talk?”

“Rick: I know your scheme so don’t act mighty in front of me you thrash.”

The man got angry and slapped Rick. Sam was happy when he saw Rick getting slapped.

“Rick: You bastard, you dare hit me. Do you know who my father is? He is the vice-president of the Maple Company. I will call my father and send you to jail.”

“Man: Oh! You are Chen’s son.” When he heard the man say his father’s name he was worried. Did the man know his father? So he immediately asked.

“Rick: You know my father.”

“Man: He works for me.” When Rick heard that he knew who the man was so he apologized and went away.

“Rick: Damn! This is all that Sam’s fault. I will show him my power.” Rick took out his phone and called.

“Man: I am sorry about that, my name is Kira. So girl will you sell that necklace?”

“Angela: I am sorry I can’t sell it.”

“Kira: Well, if you change your mind here is my card.” He gave Sam and Angela his card and he walked away.

“Angela: Sam, Happy birthday to you. I don’t have a valuable gift like yours but here is a gift from me.” She gave him a new phone, Sam didn’t have a phone since he didn’t have to call anybody but still he accepted it. He saved Angela’s number and left the place after saying bye.

Sam knew Kira was at least 5 levels greater than him. He didn’t expect to find a super human so quick; if he stayed any longer he would be found so he quickly left the place. Kira saw Sam leaving the place and just smiled. Sam was on his way to home but he noticed someone following him, he had seen that person at the gate of the hotel. He didn’t care then but it was different now as he was about to reach home so turned to ask why he was following him but he saw 4 people emerge from the alley.
