Chapter Twenty Eight

Once the mana-adapted plants and animals were placed within the first and second floors or placed for a short while until they finished the third floor, the child returned to building the third floor.

They smoothed out the soil on the top part of the floor, before spreading out the sand on the bottom, but they realized that it wasn’t enough. The child wanted at least five to six centimetres of sand throughout the lower part of the room. Still, the sand that came with the sub-dimension expansion was not enough to fill even a couple of millimetres for the whole floor.

So the child started scooping sand from the area where their iceberg lay, and quickly, they filled the room with a satisfactory amount of sand. Once the base of the top portion and lower portion of the floor were completed, the child started adding the plants.

Just as they were about to start adding the plants, they felt Ivory fly back into their territory.

They quickly thanked Ivory for doing her job and took the ice bucket from them.

In the bucket were two eggs of the same size and shape, a leaf with what looked like multiple larvae eating it, a beetle with eggs on its back, a couple of different live stems, and a couple of frogs that looked to be of the same species.

The child took their mana string and quickly made all of the plants and animals their own. Then, they moved all of these new species to the third floor, contained within the ice bucket, and continued with building the top part of the floor.

They took the plants brought by Ivory and used a mana string to grow them. The first plant was a birch tree that grew all the way up to the top of the room. It seemed as if the tree would continue growing if there was more room. The tree had flaking white paper-like bark that revealed a pinkish colour in it. The leaves are a dark green and smooth, and on the stems grew these small cylindrical flower clusters around three centimetres long. The tree’s roots were large and thick and dug deep into the soil. They decided to call this the “white paper birch” tree.

The second plant was a type of oak tree that grew up to the top of the ceiling and outwards. It had a thick trunk with branches growing out to the sides rather than straight up like the birch tree. The tree’s bark was dark reddish grey and had leaves with seven to ten fingers on them. This tree also has acorns that are saucer-shaped and reddish brown. The child decided to call this the “red oak.” The child used the red oak roots to connect the upper and lower part of the floor by forcing the roots to grow down off the shelf toward the water.

The third plant was a leafy shrub growing to one metre in height. The plant’s leaves were a mix between bronze-green and deep green with little pink flowers with 12 petals. Growing on the same stems of the flowers were these red berries. So they decided to call this the “red berry shrub.”

They placed, grew and cut these new plants, along with bearded bushes, red trumpet vines, cushion moss, drooping orchids, and mist orchids, around the room. Once the trees were grown, the child made it so that the orchids and vines would grow off or around the trees.

The top part of the floor was now a miniature forest. They left the animals in the bucket out into the environment. If they were not hatched or were still larvae, they continued to keep them in the bucket until they were ready to add animals to the floor.

They added a mixture of blade seaweed, sharp seaweed, grasping gel seaweed, ice blast seaweed, and rime seaweed, creating a thick forest. Along with the seaweeds, they also added multiple pieces of floating mosses to the water.

Once all the plants were laid out, the child started placing the animals.

The child placed their mana strings within the eggs and the larva, pushing their mana through it to increase their growth.

From the two individual eggs came this small bird. Once the birds were fully grown, they were 12 centimetres in length. The male bird had a bright yellow underbelly and white patches on their wings with a black crown. The female bird was a light grayish olive-green, with yellowish underparts, though not as bright as the mail. They decided to call this the “yellow finch.”

The eggs attached to the back of the beetle hatched and showed themselves to be the same beetle species. The beetle’s colouring is a mix of red, yellow, and green with an oval body shape and long legs. The child watched as the beetles scurried away on the soil and moss and were surprised at how fast they moved. They decided to name it the “running beetle.”

A couple of small larvae grew into a small moth, around three centimetres in length. The moth had white wings and a white body. While the rest of the larva turned into a butterfly around six centimetres in length with black and white wings. They decided to call the moth “white moth” and the butterfly “clouded white butterfly.”

The frogs that they also received were from the same species. They were around five centimetres in length and were a mix of brown colouring. The one thing that the child noticed about the frogs was the calls. It sounded like music to them and was soothing. So they decided to call it the “brown singing frog.”

As these new additions scurried and flew around the room, the child added the long-jawed orb weaver and the ice weaver spiders to the top part of the room.

Once the non-aquatic animals were added, the child started adding the aquatic creatures. They added grey oysters, icefish, blue sea lilies, rock crabs, spindle crabs, whiskered drum fish, bank sea bass, large bank bass, silver anchovy, angel snail, red sea star, and swift pinfish.

With everything ready, the child added the monsters to the floor. They added ravenous snails to the water portion of the floor and alluring vines to the top part of the floor.

After looking over the room, making sure everything was ready, and they were happy with it, the child connected the third floor to their core room.

Congratulations! You have completed your third floor!

Present Creature Species: 19

Present Plant Species: 14

Present Monster Species: 2

With the third floor completed, your sub-dimension will now grow in size in comparison to your power.

With that, their sub-dimension expanded. But this time was different. It extended only 13 metres in length, but not in height.
