They stared at the seven beings, and the seven beings stared right back at them.
It took a couple of seconds for who these people may be to click in Alexis’s head.
“…Are you perhaps of the Tsiamewo people.” Alexis stayed polite as he said this; he didn’t want to piss off the potential habitants of this area.
“Cliicck clickkk click.” Spoke one Tsiamewo to the others before a male with light blue feathers spoke back to them.
“What are you doing here?” He said, surprising Alexis with his fluency.
“I’ve been looking for this dungeon,” he replied back, pointing to the dungeon’s entrance.
“And?”
“I’m a trader trying to make a living off of the dungeon. If you and your people are amiable, I would be willing to trade with you.”
The light blue feathered Tsiamewo repeated what Alexis said back to the rest of his group, and with a bit of conversing, he turned back to Alexis.
“My name is Lirri. I will report back to my elders and give you their response to your proposal.”
Before Alexis could even respond, the seven disappeared into the ocean. When he turned back to Christopher and his group, they all had a look on their face that he couldn’t really tell what it was.
“Why, oh why, would you talk and make a deal with an unknown group of people!” Christopher exclaimed as he slapped a hand over his face. It was like he finally realized that Alexis was a bit crazy.
Sighing, he pointed to the dinghies and said, “Let’s just head back to the ship.”
As they rowed back, Christopher made a point to definitely tell Mareian, who appeared to be Alexis’s keeper, about what happened and have her deal with it.
POV Dungeon Core
The child watches as the quirky man they found out to be named Alexis and his group leave their territory after encountering a group of Tsiamewos.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
And after these encounters, they realized that things may become more interesting and that Alexis intended to have something to do with trading and what is in their dungeon. It didn’t really concern them, but the child recognized that this would mean different reactions.
Either way, they saw no problem and returned to their eighth floor.
The hour that they watched everything happening in Alexis’s dungeon dive and his encounter had let their plants gain the overgrown look they had been hoping for.
The child took out the mana string and looked over their floor. Within the maze rooms were some areas where vines and a few of the bushes reached out to the other side of the grates, creating plant barriers throughout the mazes. In the tunnels, you could barely see the ice walls, and many of the plants hung down from the ceiling, making it impossible for any intruders not to have some contact with the plant life.
Overall, the child was delighted with this look and turned their focus on adding their plants.
This was a very important part of the balance of aquatic and non-aquatic creatures. But unfortunately, there was insufficient water for a good portion of their fish species, and there was no ground for dirt-dwelling creatures. But the child knew that their idea was going to work out, and they started selecting the non-aquatic creatures first.
They picked out 22 of their non-aquatic species, and even though they chose some ground insects, they managed to circumvent the problem by using the floating moss as their bases.
Of the aquatic species, the child chose ones that would fit this low-water sandy floor. They decided on 29 different species, and all of the fish species were small and could maneuver in this area.
As the child watched all their creatures spread out and make their homes in the tunnels and rooms, they started placing their monsters.
There were four monsters that they knew would fit into the floor. The engulfing algae, the scythe mantis, the alluring vine, and their new ice krill variation, the sphere ice krill. They may create other monsters that would fit this floor better, but they didn’t want to create any more variations currently, so the child went and placed them sparingly throughout the floor.
The child didn’t want to overload the floor with four different species, so they kept the monster populations down. After they finished with the monsters, a blue screen, once again, popped up.
Congratulations! You have completed your eighth floor!
Present Creature Species: 55
Present Plant Species: 44
Present Monster Species: 4
Due to the completion of the eighth floor, the sub-dimension size will expand.
With the eighth floor done, the child felt their sub-dimension expand another 15 metres in height and width, and they started thinking about their ninth floor.
But as they drifted along, they felt something enter their territory.
Well, it didn’t enter their territory, but it was more their territory that covered this object.
Deep in the sand was a wrecked, somewhat dissolved ship. It looked like a more ancient, less effective version of the ships that they had observed so far, but it gave the child an excellent idea for their next floor.
Choosing an empty spot in their sub-dimension, the child dug out a 50-metre-high, 20-metre-wide room and stashed the remainder of the ice they wanted to use later against the northern side of the room.
Their plan was to take that ship and transplant it into the bottom of their floor. They grabbed enough sand to fill the bottom of the floor before creating a huge separate tunnel from the outside of the iceberg to their portal and from their portal to the room.
Very carefully, the child cleared the sand away and lifted the pieces of the ship up off the ground and through their iceberg and portal before placing it back down in the way they found it, just within their ninth floor.
Closing up the large tunnel, the child turned to finishing up the basic structure of the room.
Their goal was to finish their ninth and tenth floors to gain more distance between them and the invaders and adventurers. Though that really didn’t seem to be the case currently. But from what they have seen with the Tsiamewo and that guy Alexis’s group, their peaceful time seems to be coming to an end.
