>> At the time a mortal happened to summoned in the Demon Realm, everything drastically changed. Ruckus arises from other nobles after the Queen’s mention about her betrothment.
“It has been a while now after the Queen’s celebration of her birth and announcement of her betrothment to that mortal.”
A man sitting on a chair spoke out. His grayish hair shines on the candelabras all over the room.
“Indeed, it is, and the commotion throughout the nobles knowing that a mortal will be the next Demon King concerns them a lot.”
A woman replied, as her eyes squints to gaze at the man sitting next to him. “Should we do something out of this matter? This might cause mayhem in the future. I can’t say but a revolt may arise for the Queen declared a mortal to be her husband.”
Ifrit, Mashtema and Alastor gave their thoughts on the clamors with the nobles. It is really concerning; the Queen declaring someone she want to be betrothed against their race.
“That mortal still on the small pace of learning everything about us. He hasn’t even learned the usage of magic. We don’t know if he has the capability to rule here.”
Alastor shows grim on his face, flicking the shadow lurking through his expression. Ifrit nods in agreement as Mashtema sneers at the two. “But we can’t just let this matter off, though Her Highness says that man will stay here.”
“Her words are absolute; we can’t do anything ‘bout it but to follow...”
Ifrit gritted his teeth after speaking. “We are Her Highness’s confidants, and the elders of this Kingdom. As the ones who has more experience, we should give at least an advice to this matter.”
“It is true,” Mashtema replied, her hands placed on the round table. “Us confidants of the Queen should make a decision out of this matter. Though, we all know that Her Highness’s words are absolute, she should consider some judgments first.”
Alastor glares at Mashtema, his amber eyes glow while listening to her thoughts. “And what is you are proposing, Lord Mashtema?”
“I want that mortal to learn the usage of magic. For that everyone won’t be doubtful of him being a ruler...”
Mashtema let out a sigh after deliberating that statement. Ifrit and Alastor both grunts from her suggestion.

“It is true, that mortal is something we should be of concern.” Another voice joins, from the shadow, an old man appeared with his sloven robe lit in the candelabras.
On his hand is the staff with a crystal ball stuck at the center top. “Magistrate Botis...” the three called out as the man smiles and sits at the empty chair.
“I’ve been thinking about it, since the time Duke Pithius did something horrible to His Highness.”
The three looked at each other as they heard Botis’s words. “What do you mean about that?”
“Well, he enticed a demonic thought to the King-to-be, implying that the mortal should know its place.” Botis added. The three sighs in resignation, as Botis looks at them.
“Things turn mishap; what’s our Goddess Lenir planning to our race?” Alastor snarl clenching his hands into fist.
“You shouldn’t worry about it, for he won’t lay a hand in our King-to-be because there’s someone working in the shadows. They won’t let him get hurt.”
With a confident smile, Botis replied. Ifrit and Mashtema didn’t rebut, but their eyes keep focusing on the old man. “And... about your suggestion, Lord Mashtema.”
The confidant suddenly jolts as she heard Botis calling her name. “Your suggestion is a good one. Him learning magic may reduce the doubt of the nobles. And they will respect him to be the next Demon King.”
“So, to gain their respect... learning magic must be learned by our King-to-be?” Ifrit asked. Botis nods while caressing his beard. “Us Demons are powerful; we all have the ability to use simple magic. Yet, the Demon King is way more immense than us.”
“And how, pray tell, would you like him to learn using magic?” Alastor asked. His eyes smoldered to Botis, trying to intimidate him. However, the Lich didn’t flinch and grins.
“Vetiti Bibliotheca… (The Forbidden Library)” he utters with anticipation. The three gazes at him after speaking.
“That place? You know that it’s a taboo. That place isn’t much for us to hold the colossal magic.” Mashtema speaks, her voice show concern.
Vetiti Bibliotheca, or The Forbidden Library is a place where the extreme powerful Grimoires is hidden. It is completely sealed away from the Demon race due to its eerie and malevolent power surging.
A human who goes there will totally consumed instantly. To that’s why, that place is prohibited to enter by anyone.
“I can’t think of anything other than that place. He needs power, and by acquiring, he needs a catalyst to trigger it. A Grimoire that’s powerful, surpassing even the Magistrates and Lich’s power...”
The three pondered from the words Botis deliberates. They all knew that no Demon can get over there, even if they have enough capacity to endure the magic surging on that place.
And now a mortal who doesn’t even know how to use magic will enter that place. “How horrendous his ending might be...” Ifrit suddenly uttered, his crimson eyes glow while glaring at Botis.
Mashtema and Alastor glares at him, as Botis shook his head sideways. “That place harms us Demons and humans in the same, yet... I can sense on him that he can surpass it.”
“Huh. You think so?” Alastor asked. Mashtema didn’t respond but she stares at the Lich to ask same question. “He is our King-to-be; our Goddess gave him the blessing, so there’s no way he can’t endure it.”
“Believing on something superficial, huh?” Ifrit scowls. Mashtema softly bellows, as Alastor let out a sigh. “I believe in him, and you all should, too. Our Queen trust him as well.”
“But that doesn’t mean—”
“I will entrust him to you, Magistrate Botis.” Before Alastor continues, Mashtema rebuts to the words of the Lich. “Huh? You’re believing him?!” Ifrit grunted out.
“We can never know something unless we try. This happened because the Goddess Lenir says so; this new era will unfold together with us.”
Botis nods to the confidant’s statement. Both the two gentlemen pursed their lips tightly as they bellowed inwardly.
“This will test our faith for our King-to-be. If he ever happens to die, that’ll be a huge tragic for us.”
Botis nods as he left those statement. The three confidants then let out a sigh as they nod together to his statement. “This time, we will see the new era our Queen proposed. Whether we rise together with the mortals, or perished together with them.”
The room gone in eerie silent after those words voiced out. Without anyone saying anything after, that place becomes empty like in the first place.
