Chapter 89 -

Noelle tapped on the car window gently.

"Mrs. Freeman!"

Noelle corrected Levi multiple times, but the latter was still used to addressing her in this manner. By now, couldn't be bothered to correct him anymore. She nodded. What are you doing here?"

she

"Mr. Freeman went out on a work trip," Levi explained. "He went overseas and won't be back until after a week. This is the invitation and plane ticket he wanted me to give you."

Noelle was stunned. By the time she lowered her eyes, she found that the audition invitation Hendrix gave her was already in her hands.

Noelle left it at Percy Gardens previously, but she didn't expect him to send it back to her once more. He even bought her a plane ticket to Leverton.

Just as Noelle was staring at the ticket and spacing out, Levi spoke up again, "Mrs. Freeman?" He was also giving her a strange look.

Noelle came back to her senses and shook her head. "I'm not taking them."

"Um.... Mr. Freeman prepared these just for you, Mrs. Freeman. Moreover, a lot of people from the high society circle will be there. He'd have to explain himself if you weren't there, and that might be troublesome."

Noelle was very adamant, though. Levi looked at her, and he was stumped.

"I'm sorry you have to come all this way. You may go back now if that's all you came for. Goodbye." Then, Noelle walked forward.

Levi wanted to say something, but he bit his tongue after he paused briefly.

Noelle had just returned to her room when Hendrix gave her a phone call. Two seconds later, however, the call ended abruptly as if it was just a butt dial or something. She didn't return his call, either.

Brandon was quick to send her a text, though. He merely needed her to do something simple. He had a banquet to attend this weekend, and he wanted her to go with him. However, he seemed to know what Noelle's concerns were, and he sent over a second text.noveldrama

"Don't worry. It's a masquerade ball. No one's going to know who you are."

Initially, Noelle wanted to reply to Brandon's text, but her fingers were suspended midair now. After a brief pause, she replied to him, "I can't think of a reason for me to help you."

This time, Brandon sent Noelle an audio text. His voice was warm and deep, and there was a hint of amusement in it, too. "Why not? Just think of me owing you a favor. You might not need it now, but you might have use of it later.

What Brandon said managed to convince Noelle. With that said, she still couldn't understand why he would want to do this.

Brandon might not be as prominent as Hendrix was in Coppersville, but he definitely didn't lack any plus one for any occasion. However, he chose Noelle, and he even offered to owe her a favor.

Naturally, Noelle wouldn't think it was because she was charming or that Brandon had a thing for her. After all, there was no longing in his eyes when he looked at her, even though he had been gentle and warm toward her.

This also meant that this offer was nothing more than a deal, and it didn't seem like she would lose anything from

At the thought of it, Noelle didn't insist on turning Brandon down anymore. She replied to his text, "Okay."
