On the way to Serene Street, Hendrix noticed a post from Brandon on his feed.

The location was marked as Sintrun, but he wasn't alone. Hendrix could see a person in a white trench coat in the corner of the photo, Who else could it be but Noelle?

Hendrix frowned and said without a second thought, "Stop the car."

The driver glanced at him in confusion, but before he could respond, Hendrix had already locked his phone. "Turn around. Head to Amity Tower."

The taxi ran on a metered fare, so the driver didn't protest, only muttering under his breath as he turned the vehicle around.

Hendrix sat there, staring blankly out the window.

After tapping a few times on his phone screen, he finally dialed his assistant. "Book me a flight to Sintrun."

Noelle was currently in Sintrun. The movie was adapted from her work, but her involvement in the screenplay. wasn't significant, so this trip wasn't strictly necessary.

However, Sandra's engagement banquet happened to be over these two days. So, she made up her mind and came right away.

Noelle simply smiled.

Brandon raised his wine glass, she clinked hers against his.

"You haven't been in touch with Clark recently?" Brandon asked her again.

Noelle simply hummed in response. Then, she asked, "Didn't your collaboration with Tidalwave Holdings already wrap up?

"It did, but Clark and I are also friends. Seeing him so downcast, I can't help but feel a bit concerned." Noelle paused before setting her wine glass down. "He's fine. He deserves someone who loves him passionately." "Can't that person be you?"

Noelle lifted her gaze. "Since when did Mr. Quinlan become a matchmaker?" Brandon chuckled. "If my friends can find happiness, I'd naturally be glad."

Noelle didn't respond further.

The two of them quietly finished their meal. Afterward, they returned to the hotel together.

For the sake of convenience, Brandon had reserved a room on the same floor, right next to Noelle's. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a figure suddenly flashed by outside, and the doors reopened. Brandon was momentarily stunned when he saw who was standing outside. Then, almost instinctively, he turned

to observe Noelle's reaction.

She was clearly startled as well. But she quickly averted her gaze and lowered her head, as if she hadn't seen anything.

"Mr. Freeman, what a coincidence!" It was Brandon who broke the silence first.

Hendrix simply nodded at him with an impassive expression before stepping inside. He pressed the button panel next to him.

The elevator doors closed again.

Hendrix stood in front of Noelle, but the space inside was spacious enough to leave a considerable distance between them.

Even so, Noelle suddenly felt uneasy. Her hands balled into fists at her sides.

On the other hand, Brandon struck up a conversation with Hendrix. "Mr. Freeman, are you here on a business trip?

"Mm."

"What a coincidence! We've been staying here for the past few days. If you're free, perhaps we could have a meal together?"

"No need," Hendrix replied curtly. "I'm very busy."

Even if one was truly occupied, it was customary to offer some polite formalities among people in the same social circles. Yet Hendrix clearly had no intention of offering even the slightest courtesy.

When the elevator reached the 16th floor, he stepped aside without a word.
