Chapter 121 -

Noelle walked out first.

Brandon followed behind her but maintained a smile on his face. "See you, then, Mr. Freeman."

Hendrix only nodded emotionlessly.

Then, the doors of the elevator closed. The metal doors reflected his current expression-a frown with pursed lips.

As for Noelle, when she was about to enter her room, Brandon called out to her.

Noelle turned around.

Brandon asked, "Are you still going to the set tomorrow?"

Noelle asked, "Why not?"

He smiled. "Nothing, just wanted to confirm with you. I was worried that you might have other arrangements,

She immediately knew what he meant. She replied in a low tone, "No."

"Alright. Good! Have a good rest. Goodnight!"

Before heading back to his own room, Brandon gave her a grin. His grin seemed to have another layer of meaning behind it, which made Noelle feel uncomfortable.

Before she could say anything, Brandon went into his own room.

Noelle stood by the door for a moment and suddenly recalled Hendrix's look just now. She didn't know if it was an illusion, but when Hendrix saw them here just now, he didn't seem to be surprised.

Of course, Noelle wasn't that full of herself to think that he came because of them. If he wasn't surprised,

it could only mean that to him, she was just like a stranger.

Noelle didn't think about it anymore. She lay down on her bed the moment she entered her room and closed her eyes.

In this one month, she had been trying to keep herself busy. She tried to pack her schedule in order to help her forget some things. Hence, she had never thought about Hendrix.

However, after seeing him this time around, she dreamed of him.

It was when they were set up by their families to meet each other alone. At that time, their matters were almost settled, but Hendrix still asked if she was willing to marry him.

They were in a romantic restaurant, with candles in front of them. Everything was like a movie, but to Noelle, all she could see was Hendrix's calm gaze-he did not love her

Noelle knew this from the very start.

It wasn't until two years later that she finally allowed herself to admit and accept it.

When Noelle woke up, the sky had already brightened, and ber pillow was soaked with tears. She stared

at the unfamiliar scenery outside for a while, slowly pulling herself out of the dream before getting up to wash up. The shooting that day went smoothly.

The lead actors quickly got into character, and the work was wrapped up early. Brandon, with a grand gesture, invited the whole crew to dinner.

The chosen spot was a Yidenese restaurant near the film studio.

Noelle originally didn't want to go, but she couldn't resist the others' invitations. In the end, she was dragged along.

The private room was lively, and both the male and female leads-being newcomers who had just beennoveldrama

given a chance had no airs about them, creating an unexpectedly pleasant atmosphere.

Noelle, however, felt a bit tired. She probably didn't have a good night's rest last time, and she didn't have any

excuse at all.

Brandon suddenly showed up beside her. "Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Noelle shook her head slowly.

"Do you want some soup?

As soon as Brandon finished speaking, the female lead walked up to them. "Mr. Quinlan, I'd like to toast to you. Thank you for this opportunity."

Brandon smiled and was about to respond when Noelle, from the other side of the room, quietly stood up and left the private room.
