Nick watched the leader crouch down above Zach and whisper something in his ear. In shocked horror, Nick saw a glint of silver and realized what was going to happen. Nick bit the pain off and started to yell something but the lack of air in his lungs prevented him from saying anything. Nick inhaled as deeply as he could, but he was too late.
Zach could feel the dagger in his chest there was no pain, but he could feel it. He shifted his head toward the direction of Nick. The group of Redcaps had left Zach to die and was now walking to Nick. Pain, Fear, Anger, and then Acceptance, were the emotions that ran through his mind as he took his last breath, then He felt nothing.
“Get up Zach, You aren't finished yet.” someone said. “W-what?” Zach asked. “Get up.” it said again. “Where am I?” Zach asked the voice. “IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO GET UP!” the voice yelled and Zach was awake on the ground with the dagger still in his chest. ‘Nick! I have to save Nick!’ Zach remembered and as the thought crossed his mind, the ground began to undulate around him. A black liquid began to seep on to the wound in his chest. It pushed the dagger out and began to fill the cavity left behind. As more of the black liquid pooled in his chest even more seeped into the rest of his body. Zach’s strength came back to him and he stood up. He felt his heart beating louder and louder until his body began to vibrate in pulses, and then Zach felt it.

A wave of pure energy flooded Zach’s body and the wound on his chest closed with a yellow tint to it. Emboldened with his new found strength, Zach took a step toward the Redcaps then stopped. They were moving as if they were walking through water, then Zach looked around. Not just the Redcaps, but everything was slowed to a snail’s pace.
