Chapter 1.6
The red woman had an amused expression on her face as she looked at the Nameless Egg, somewhat sensing his improved mood.
"But, Little Egg, you should already have this information. We Dragons normally receive some inherited memories when our souls become fully conscious while still in the Egg"
The Egg stopped celebrating.
'Wait?! you are a Dragon too?!'
The red woman chuckled softly. "Yes, I'm a Dragon too Little Egg. Dragons, when they reach full growth, can change their shape quite easily" She let out a sigh. "Well, you should learn all the things you will need once you are back in the Clan, don't worry"
The red woman took a step forward and moved to take away the Egg, but just before she could pick him up tremendously loud Thunder sounded all around them, stopping her in her track.
"What?" The red woman exclaimed while looking around the cave.
A phantom like humanoid image appeared to the side, where it approached the red woman slowly.
"World Spirit, what is the meaning of this?!" She exclaimed.
The Nameless Egg stayed quiet due not knowing what was happening, but he had a sudden feeling that he was not going to go back to his Clan.
"What?!" A somewhat pressure descended on the cave, putting some strain of the Egg's Soul once more. "No! I'm taking him back! No matter what you say, he IS coming with me!"
An other worldly not sound seemed to sound from nowhere, seemly to convey some things without using words.
The red woman became angrier and angrier as she seemed to communicate with the Phantom, until she exploded.
"Fine! But I will not leave him without first educating him! So you can go away!"
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
The Phantom seemed to give a shallow half bow to the female Dragon in human form, then it dispersed mid air leaving no trace it even once existed.
The Nameless Egg made no sound as the red woman huffed in anger.
"Well Little Egg, it seems you will achieve great things in the future, even if you will suffer a few setback in the meanwhile"
The Egg transmitted his confusion.
"It seems that Long Zhuo's plan was a little bit more grander than anyone expected. I, at first, thought that Long Zhuo just found a simple distant non developed World to hide in, but this World is a bit more complex then that. You see, most Worlds in the Myriad Worlds have an innate Grade to themselves, limiting how high the cultivation of it's inhabitants could achieve while also limiting how strong foreign cultivator could be before they enter it. But, from time to time Worlds are destroyed, and small fragments are hurled in the void between worlds where they are then absorbed by others to strengthen themselves. Normally, when that happens the inhabitants of the World, if they are capable, helps in the integration of these fragments, and from this help they gain benefits from the World Spirit, normally in the forms of either Karma or Merit"
The red woman stopped a moment and started looking closer at the walls of the Cave, her eyes suddenly shining with golden light, startling the Egg once more.
"Long Zhuo found a high Grade World Fragment close to this World and seems to have used quite a few different methods to help the local World Spirit in the Integration. Mainly with the help of an Array Formation." The red woman turned to the Egg. "And you are at the center of the Formation, acting as both as a catalyst and a filter"
The Egg was speechless.
"A Dragon Egg is special, you see. It is capable of absorbing any and all energies and converting it in pure Dragon Aura, the Energy that Dragons use Cultivation. The Formation is using you as a template to absorb all that the fragment is and converting into something that this world will then be able to easily integrate."
The red woman let out a frustrated growl that shock the Cave, inform the Nameless Egg that she was indeed a Dragon.
"The problem is that for as long as you are in that Array you will be blocked from the Inheritable memories of the Dragon Race. On the other hand, the World Spirit guarantees that as long as you stay there he will give you Immortal Merit and a small World Seed, which are no small gain, even if you were to be forced to stay there for ten times the amount of time normally needed to hatch a normal Dragon Egg. Unfortunately Long Zhuo tried to maximize his gains for when he planned to take over your body, so I can't even move you from there without putting you in danger"
The Egg contemplated for a moment.
'Those things, what good are they?'
The red woman let her frustrated expression relax and got for herself a small smile.
"Well, since you will not have access to a Dragons Innate Knowledge for quite some time, why don't I teach you all that you will need for now"
