Chapter 1.2
The Nameless Egg's confusion grew to new heights.
As far as he knew, Eggs are not supposed to be conscious, no matter the species, and do not get him started at the fact that he somehow could see and sense all of his surroundings.
Somehow, the Nameless Egg could not only see, but also hear and feel not only the Cave he found himself in but also the Egg that he was.
That did not seem right.
But, at the same time, it felt right.
His confusion grew even more.
Powering through his confusion, he started to focus on himself.
The Egg that he was was a white one, with many dents and ridges somehow creating a pattern that was not a pattern on his shell.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
The more his attention was on this pattern that was not, the more he was sure the it was and was not a pattern.
The Egg's shell's surface was like a canvas that naturally depicted an unnatural pattern.
Or it unnaturally depicted a natural pattern.
He was not sure.
The Nameless Egg's attention seemed draw to it's shell, the more he looked/felt/sensed it's pattern the more he was draw to it.
Again Time seemed to lose it's meaning, but he was sure now that only a few moments passed before something new drew his attention.
That something was a great tremor that shook the Cave, dimming the dancing lights and disturbing the ambience.
From one moment to the next, a great object seemed to enter the Cave and collide with the floor, sending stone fragments everywhere, a few coming quite close to the Egg, but mysteriously none hit him.
After the dust settled, a great hundreds of meters long Eastern Dragon, with brilliant white scales, seemed lay there, bleeding out and seemingly dead.
The Egg was stunned.
The Egg did not know that Dragons were real, although once that thought appeared he knew, instinctively the they were, in fact, real.
The next thought that came to him was what a Dragon was doing in his Cave.
'Maybe I am a Dragon Egg?' He wondered.
His contemplations were cut short once steps came from the Cave's entrance.
'Shit! Someone just killed a Dragon, and here I'm, just a weak little egg, What do I do?!'
Then a lightbulb lit up inside his mind.
'Was that my mother?!'
