"The Paladins, ah the Paladins... They are the soldiers of God, they have divine energy coursing through their veins. The God spends a lot of resources to make every single Paladin. The Paladin is a warrior that's devoted to a God, they use the divine power that their God gifts them to fight. The divine energy that courses through their bodies make them faster, stronger, more durable and with increased healing capabilities than the other beings of their species. Paladins are a necessity, they are an expensive choice that a God has to make, because if its believer are in danger a Champion cannot be everywhere at the same time."

"Paladins the shield and the sword of God. Fanatics are always gonna be fanatics."
White, everything was white in Fianna's eyes. The snow that was falling from the sky, the body of her son, probably... No definetly alive, her husband was getting white too. Her hand was getting black but the pain that coursed through her arm to her head was white. Fianna, for the second time on her life, did not know what to do. She was not strong enough to raise Sidon and bring him to safety, if there even was something safe. She could try to move Little Wolf away with a single arm by dragging him... But in her heart she could not leave her husband there. When she was young and the caravan was being raided, she was paralyzed, she did not know if she should have ran or if she should have protected her family or tried to help the others. Her choice was taken from her with arrows. Even while laying on the ground she hoped for someone to choose for her. Sidon did just that, he chose her. Now, surrounded by white, on the outside and the inside, Fianna was back to her younger self, hoping for someone to choose for her.
"I finally found that fucking kid."
A child came into the clearing, he was walking towards Little Wolf.
"Is he fucking dead? Fuck! Don't tell me I was late, that fucking water fuck will fucking kill me!"
"Hey you, the Bull Rider over there!" The kid turned towards Fianna. "Yeah you redhead! What the fuck happened here!?"
Fianna was in shock, she was confused, she turned to the child, it was hard to see through the snow.
"Hey! You deaf? Or gone stupid?"
"No, they fought, wolves, droppers, I don't know what happened... I don't know what to do..."
"Stay there and wait for the cold to kill you." The child shrugged. "I just need to take this one away and keep him alive until the watery fuck rewards me."
"You are the protector, finally you arrived. Awe will be sad if those two die, keep them alive."

Little Wolf opened a single eye, golden light was pouring out of it.
"Shit, what the fuck is wrong with you people and orders." The child asked but no one answered. "And how do I keep someone that's already more dead than alive!"
"My Sidon will survive, he always did!"
Fianna found her voice.
"I can see that, his Essence is fighting but,-" the child shook his head "-his elemental spirits are trying to leave him, the ice is holding them but he won't last long."
"What are you talking about?"
Asked Fianna, maybe she was in a dream, it looked like a nightmare and a child was spouting nonsense, it was just so strange and confusing to her.
The child looked at the sky.
"Okay! So watery fuck, I found the child. Now, I need to take care of these two too!?"
The child yelled to the sky.
The only answer was even more wind and snow.
"Sure, I'll keep them alive. But, how do I do that in the middle of a fucking snowstorm with no food or cover?"
The child asked again, now he was not yelling anymore.
Fianna just let it happen, it was so surreal that maybe... Maybe it was not real, or so so she hoped.
"You made a fucking Pond of Life here!? In this tiny little World!?"
The child yelled to the sky.
"Fuck, I hate you faeries." The child mumbled to himself. "What? No, I did not say anything! Where do I find this Pond of Life?"
He said to the sky.
"Sure, I'll bring them there."
Then the child turned around.
"Fuck woman, your man is huge, can't really move him like this..."
Then the child started to undress.
Fianna was really confused, her dream, her nightmare, was becoming stranger and stranger.
"What are you do-"
She asked then stopped.
The child was apparently a little girl, a little girl that now stood naked in the snow. She sat with her legs crossed and started breathing, in and out, in and out. Her rhythmic breathing was almost hypnotic, every breath she took, she looked a little bigger, a little older. When the child stopped and got to her feet, she was no longer a kid but a young woman, around twenty snows old. She was a lean woman, with nothing that stood out, a woman that would disappear in a crowd and no one would notice, only... She was a single woman, nude in the snow. So Fianna did notice her and... Right now Fianna was sure that what was happening was not real.
The woman searched her old child-sized clothes, took a necklace from them and put it on. When she turned around to look at Fianna, her blue ice eyes shook the redhead to her core.
"So... I'm Mira, come with me and you will live."
Mira closed in on Sidon, she put a hand under his side and heaved, bringing the huge man in the air and then letting him on her little shoulder with great care, then she started walking gently towards Little Wolf, this time she put a foot under him and heaved. She caught him under her arm, turned towards Fianna.
"So, you coming or what? Don't tell me I need to carry you too!"
