Chapter 14: Elegies

Their parents and relatives died catastrophically as a result of the perfidy of Zixin. Yueliang and Taiyang frequently recollect their beautiful memories with their family and weep. Taiyang: Yueliang, life without our parents is different and very difficult.

Yueliang: True. Now I regret that I did not spend enough time with my parents. Had I known we will be separated at such a young age, I would accompany them day and night.

Taiyang: Likewise. Fate is unpredictable. I did not imagine we will reach such a stage in our lives. In life we have to account for the worst case scenario at times.

Yueliang: True. Our parents raised us up to excel and be competent in our duties in life. Let us work hard to be the best versions of ourselves.

Taiyang: True. Belonging to the Imperial Family had negative consequences on us too. We are now chased for ten million golden taels. This deprives me of feeling peace.
