Now without further ado Chapter 6.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The instructor started speaking, “Listen up maggots; I will go over the specifics of the first round now. As I said before it will be a battle royal style where all of you fight each other at the same time. This will show you how chaotic it will be in a real war plus it’s fun to watch. There is no need to worry about dying the ring in front of you is enchanted so that if your life falls below 30 percent you will be teleported to the healing area to the right of the ring. There are priests stationed there to heal you the moment you teleport out. So don’t worry about death and give it your all. The last two of you left at the end of the battle go on to the next round. Do a final check and enter the ring. And remember not to make a fool of yourself all the knights in the base are watching you.”
“So, Perseus, how do you want to go about this,” asked Dan.
“Well seeing as how this is going to be a free for all lets just go in attack wherever we can and try not to die,” replied Perseus.
“Isn’t that a bit too simple,” said Dan with a questioning look.
“Nah, what else can we do, it’s going to be a scramble,” Perseus replied.
“Alright, should I use any spells, I have been training them,” Dan asked.
“Only if you are sure you won’t hit me by mistake,” said Perseus.
“Yeah I can do that. What about you are you going to fight with the weights on,” Dan asked pointing to Perseus’s weights.
“I might be battle crazy but I’m not suicidal so I’ll take them off,” answered Perseus while taking off his weights.
Having their plan figured out they entered the ring and a few seconds later the bell rung.
*RRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIINGG*
As Perseus thought it was a scramble everyone was running around trying to kill each other.
‘I can’t use Steel Skin or Spirit Weapon, the instructor told me to keep the skills hidden. How troublesome, it would be easier if I could use at least steel skin, but I guess orders are orders,’ thought Perseus reluctantly.
Perseus spoke in a whisper, “Iron Lungs. Muscle Empowerment, Sturdy Bones”
The 28 squires were nervous and made wild swings for each other. One came up to Perseus and slashed at him in a big arc. Perseus calmly saw through his attack, dodged it by slightly bending sideways and slashed at his wrists and heels with both his swords. His amplified strength and speed made it possible to slash through the armor and disable the foolish squire, who recklessly attacked. The squire then teleported out of the arena.
‘Still have 15 seconds till the buffs wear off better make the most of them.’
Perseus walked over the fallen squire and ran over to two squires with bastard swords who were fighting each other. They noticed Perseus and were fast to turn to attack him, but Perseus with his buffed stats was faster still and got a good strike in on both of them. The two of them realizing Perseus was a greater threat decided to take care of Perseus first. Perseus slashed to the left while blocking a slash from the right. The three of them kept trading blows both sides taking small hits and overall remaining in a stalemate until one of them made a foolish mistake of lunging in for a stab. It was the chance Perseus was waiting for he sidestepped to the right and struck at the first squire’s sword arm, slicing through his armguard and drawing blood. Perseus didn’t stop there and followed it up with a slash to the squire’s knee, shattering it. The squire gasped and fell to the floor clutching his arm and leg, while Perseus jumped back to avoid a slash aimed at his head from the second squire on the left. Perseus then suddenly felt a decrease in speed.
‘Damn, I ran out of mana I need to end this fast.’
Perseus feinted to the right and slashed with his left sword, the squire had just barely brought his sword up to block the attack. Perseus however had expected this and stepped in with his right foot and brought his right claymore up in a diagonal slash. It was a clean hit and had penetrated through the second squire’s armor. He then slashed at the squire with another diagonal slash while he was stunned from the shock of the attack.
Perseus then turned back to the first of the pair and made him teleport out after the second one.Looking around Perseus saw that only 15 people were left.
‘This will be fun,’ thought with a crazy smile on his face.
After taking a breather Perseus rushed back into the fray slashing and stabbing like his life depended on it. He activated his skills whenever he had enough mana and after 7 minutes there was none left fighting him.
‘Huh, where did everyone go,’ thought Perseus as he looked around to see all the other squires had teleported out and only he and Dan were left.
Dan walked over and said, “Perseus we won.”
“Yeah the fight was awesome,” Perseus replied with an excited face.
“The winners are Perseus and Dan. They are now the East Base’s representatives for the next stages of the tournament. You two better rest up tomorrow we head to the central base for the next part of the tournament,” the instructor said with a pleased face.
“YES SIR,” the both of them answered.
Perseus and Dan spent the rest of the day talking about their strategy and abilities. Perseus confided in Dan that currently he only had buff skills and that he fights freestyle.
“What about your skills, what magic do you use,” inquired Perseus.
“Well my magic is a bit different than mages. Mages channel their mana through their wands or staffs to affect mana on the outside. What we do is that we channel our mana into our weapons and release the spells from the weapon. While this makes the spell weaker than those of mages but gives use more control and versatility. Take a fireball spell for example I can channel that spell into my sword to make my sword on fire and use that in melee. Then I can shoot it out of my sword. This allows for many possible uses of the same spell,” explained Dan.
“So basically you trade power for control,” Perseus said plainly.
“Yes, that is why the White Order is known for its magic we use what magic we can to its full potential,” said Dan agreeing.
“If it is that good shouldn’t there be more people in the White Order. I heard that there are only about 500 in the order,” asked Perseus with a confused expression.
“Well that’s because the training to maintain your wisdom, intelligence, strength and agility at a suitable level is hard. You have to read tons of books a day and do many physical training exercises,” replied Dan.
“Sounds tough,” said Perseus.
“Tell me about it,” said Dan agreeing.
“It’s late why don’t we turn in for the night tomorrow is a big day,” suggested Perseus.
“Yeah night Perseus,” said Dan.
With that both Perseus and Dan went to bed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
That Morning at Dawn
*HORN SOUNDING IN THE DISTANCE*
“Hey Perseus wake up, dude wake up we are under attack,” said Dan as he urgently tried to wake Perseus.
Perseus shot up from bed and quickly asked, “What, why, when.”
“Slow down let me answer. Put your gear on I’ll explain while we get ready,” replied Dan.
“Ok, start talking,” stated Perseus.
“I don’t know much since I got up a while before you but apparently the some men attacked the main gates about ten minutes ago while they were changing shifts and took the gate. The kingdom raised the alarm 5 minutes ago. That’s all I know, now come on they called all squires to gather in front of the mess hall,” explained Dan.
After the explanation Perseus and Dan ran to the Mess and made it there in a couple of minutes. All the squires and instructors were gathered and they were the only ones left.
“You’re late,” said instructor Grant irritably.
“Sorry instructor,” apologized Dan.
“Yeah get in line,” the instructor replied dismissively.
Perseus and Dan got in line with perplexed expressions, usually he would shout at them for minutes on end for being late. Could the situation really be that bad?
“Alright maggots I’ll explain the situation to you know. Today at dawn we were attacked by a larger number of men at this stage it is unclear on who they are affiliated with but we managed to stop them from reaching the royal castle,” said the instructor as he explained the situation.Sighs of relief escaped all of the squires as they were glad that they royal family is safe.
“However there are still many of them wreaking havoc in the residential and shopping districts. All able personnel have been ordered to suppress the enemy. But you all are in training and are therefore forbidden from leaving this base. So we are ordered to protect this base. The other instructors and I will patrol near the walls of the base while you lot patrol the interior. If you hear any fighting at the walls don’t leave your posts we can handle ourselves. Understood,” the instructor questioned them all.
“YES SIR,” the squires replied energetically.
“Good get going then,” ordered the instructor.
After the announcement everyone spread out and began patrolling. Dan and Perseus began patrolling near the smithy when Dan asked, “Perseus do you think we will see some action?”
“Don’t know but I if they come here they are going to regret it,” Perseus replied honestly.
“Yeah we will mess the up,” Dan stated with a smile.
“No I mean they will regret crossing the instructor,” Perseus replied.
“I know he is our instructor but is he really that strong,” Dan asked.
“You have no idea,” said Perseus with a knowing expression.
Then they heard someone scream.
“What was that,” asked Perseus.
“Come on it came from the track,” said Dan.
Perseus and Dan ran to the track with all they had. What they saw there made Perseus curse. There were over 50 men in armor attacking the instructors and squires.
“Damn where they come from, hurry Perseus we have to stop them,” said Dan in a hurry as he began running to the track to be stopped by Perseus.
“Wait Dan, they are too many,” said Perseus.
“But we can’t run away, look the instructor is fighting 15 by himself,” replied Dan as he pointed to the instructor who was fighting over a dozen of the men by himself.
“I know but someone has to get help. Go find help. Or everyone here is dead,” Perseus stated urgently. Dan seeing that Perseus was right gave in.
“Alright, just don’t die,” said Dan as he ran to find help.
Perseus didn’t need to be told twice, he wouldn’t die, not until he saved his friends. He ran straight towards a man who was giving orders. The man was wearing dark blue armor and was using a silver hand and a half sword. Perseus slashed with both swords but the man easily blocked Perseus’s attacks. He attacked Perseus back with speed he would have thought impossible had he not sparred with Sir Aglaron every day. Perseus dodged the attack by centimeters.
‘He’s fast I have to use them, sorry Instructor,’ thought Perseus as he whispered, “Activate KS.”
Activate KS was a shortcut Perseus discovered that allowed him to use all five techniques together. Perseus’s body and claymores gained a black-red glow and his body felt faster and stronger.
‘Only 10 seconds I have to finish this and help the others.’
“Well this is surprising,” said the man as he looked at Perseus expectantly.
Perseus rushed forward and attacked with a flurry attacks. Right-horizontal-slash, left-vertical slash, right-stab, simultaneous attacks he tried every combination his two swords allowed. The man however had just blocked and redirected all the attacks with a bored expression on his face. Perseus still had a 2 second left and in a last ditch effort stabbed forward with his left claymore and when the man moved to block the attack, Perseus used his carelessness against him and dropped his left claymore and brought his other Claymore up in a diagonal slash with both arms for added speed. The man looked surprised but still dodged by tilting his head back. He couldn’t completely dodge the attack and his chin got cut.
‘You have to be kidding me, after all that just a scratch,’ thought Perseus in disbelief.
“Damn, I ran out of mana,” Perseus thought exasperated.
“What, is that it I guess it’s my turn,” said the man finally taking initiative in this fight.
The man rushed Perseus. He was caught unaware and the attack grazed his side resulting in the loss of 200 HP.
‘What the hell it just grazed me and I took 200 damage,’ thought Perseus.
The man kept chasing Perseus and Perseus kept moving around dodging the attacks albeit barely and kept taking hits here and there soon his life was down to 470.
‘Damn I have to use that, I didn’t want to use it but I have no choice. It’s all or nothing,’ thought Perseus with conviction.
Perseus stopped moving around and faced the man.
“Stopped running, huh. Ready to face your death,” said the man taunting Perseus.
“You’re the only one who is going to die,” said Perseus defiantly.
“Ha after all this you are being cocky. Alright for lasting this long I will tell you my name; after all it is only right I tell you the name of your killer. I am Drake,” said the man taking a bow and revealing his name.
“And the name of the man who will kill you is Perseus,” said Perseus as he smiled in spite of his dire situation.
“Haha you’re funny, because you made me laugh I will let you make the first move,” said Drake taunting Perseus.
“Enough talk,” said Perseus irritably.
Perseus calmed his breathing and held his Claymore in front of himself with both hands.
‘This is my last chance,’ thought Perseus steeling himself.
There was a distance of 5 meters between the two of them. After gauged the distance he was confident it would hit Drake. Perseus raised his claymore and the black-red energy from before surrounded Perseus again only this time it was darker and felt stronger, Perseus was feeding it his emotions of hatred for this man who was toying with him, further increasing the power of this amplified energy.
“KILLING SPIRIT BURST,” shouted Perseus as he brought down the sword of pure emotion down in a vertical slash sending it hurtling towards a surprised Drake.
Everyone on the track stopped fighting to see a wave of black-red energy rip through the air towards the man called Drake. Drake was expecting Perseus to charge forward with that peculiar glow he had from before and did not expect a ranged attack, because of his carelessness he couldn’t completely defend from the energy wave. When the dust settled Drake was screaming bloody murder as the attack had managed to hit the left portion of his face taking his left eye. While Drake was screaming Perseus was kneeling on the ground he had barely survived letting loose that attack.
Even though Killing Spirit Burst did do five times the damage of an ordinary attack it cost him all his mana and if he didn’t have enough it would drain his life. The only reason he had survived was because he had regained enough mana for his HP to not completely hit zero. But even though he wasn’t dead his HP was in the red zone and he could die at any moment.
Shock over what just took place still gripped many of the enemy and at the worst possible time for them a shout could be heard.
“Attack the intruders and protect the base,” said a commanding voice.
It was Sir Aglaron leading the reinforcements. The enemy was outnumbered and outmatched the moment Sir Aglaron appeared and began retreating. Drake stopped between his screams and looked at Perseus with murderous eyes.
“I will remember you and I will kill in the most horrific way possible. Just you wait HUHUHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHHAHHAHAAHAAHAHH,” said Drake as he was half laughing - half screaming his head off.
With his declaration of war/rant against Perseus over he retreated he retreated with his men.
“Perseus you, okay,” asked Dan with a look of concern as he helped Perseus up.
“Hey Dan you took your time, huh,” said Perseus with a smirk on his face. He was glad his friend came when he did any longer and he would have been dead.
“Sorry about that took me awhile to find Sir Aglaron, come on we have to get you to the priests,” said Dan as he helped Perseus to the Priests who were standing by to heal the injured.
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
After thanking the priest for healing him, Perseus and Dan went to Sir Aglaron.
“Masenfu, what‘s the situation,” asked Perseus.
“Well it is finally under control the damage to the districts has been kept to a minimum but we took a large hit,” said Aglaron.
“Huh, what do you mean sir,” said Dan warily.
“What I mean is that the enemy specifically targeted all five bases. You owe the instructor your lives he fought over 15 men by himself. That is quite a feat at his age. Without him you would have suffered the same fate as the others,” said Aglaron gravely.
“So all of the other squires are dead,” said Dan with dread.
“Weren’t you listening? Yes. As sad as it is only 15 squires remain in the kingdom. They effectively cut off our supply of new knights. We are going to be understaffed for a while now. Many of the squires were capable centurions so we are lacking officers now,” said Aglaron irritation in his voice.
“Do we know how they got in,” asked Dan.
“At dawn when the sentries were changing shifts they noticed 20 men in cloaks heading for the gates from the East and while the sentries’ attention was directed there a large number of men came from the forest in the north and took the north gate. They then opened the west gate to let more of their comrades in. The rest you probably know, we stopped them from reaching the royal castle but many of them escaped into the residential and the shopping districts. It took a while to get rid of all of them but we finished them in just 30 minutes. There weren't that many of them to begin with, the only had around 300. The only reason it took long was because they had spread out so far apart,” said Aglaron.
“Do we know who the enemy is,” Perseus inquired.
“No, most of them were hired mercenaries or bandits who just came to loot and pillage. The only ones who knew anything were the ones giving orders but if we caught any of them they would just kill themselves,” said Aglaron not hiding the disgust in his voice.
“So Drake was one of the leaders, huh,” said Perseus.
“Who is Drake,” asked Aglaron.
“He was one of the enemies’ leaders; and as much as I hate to admit it he completely outmatched me. I had to use Killing Spirit Burst and managed to get an attack in on his face. He won’t be seeing from his left eye for a long time,” Perseus added with a smile.
“Oh, you did a good job lasting as long as you did; the other leaders we captured were fairly tough I think their level was around 150. You managed to injure an opponent with greater strength than you, good job. But you know you are my apprentice what can you expect,” Aglaron added with a large smile as he complimented himself.
Perseus let out a small smile, his Masenfu would never change.
“Wait a minute Masenfu why didn’t you teach me any of the sub techniques,” Perseus asked suddenly remembering that his Masenfu hadn’t taught him the techniques.
“Uh um about that, oh look the instructor Grant is calling you, well I’ll be going now see you soon,” said Aglaron hurriedly to avoid questioning.
“Sigh. So instructor what’s the problem,” Perseus asked as he walked to the instructor who had just been healed by the priests.
“Well with how things went I think you two should now. The tournament is still going to take place,” the instructor replied.
“What? But everyone is dead,” said Perseus in disbelief.
“Yes, but you two are still alive plus it is mandatory that we have the tournament. It has been like this since the times of the old empire. Anyway since there is only the two of you we will have the two of you fight and the winner will take the class test,” said Instructor Grant.
“YES SIR,” shouted Perseus and Dan.
“Good, we will have the fight take place at noon. Use the time from now until then to relax and prepare for the fight. Good luck to you both,” said Instructor Grant
“YES SIR, THANK YOU SIR,” said Perseus and Dan as they thanked him.
Perseus and Dan then split up, without a word of goodbye. When next they meet they will fight without mercy. With thought in mind both of them went their separate ways. Dan to their quarters and Perseus to the smithy.
‘Ok I have been practicing all week it’s time to make myself some epic armor,’ thought Perseus excitedly.
After 5 hours Perseus finally created his armor.
“Awesome looks cool now to check the stats. Identify all,” said Perseus smiling at his new creation.

“These have really good stats plus the dark silver makes them look awesome,” said Perseus happily.
Deciding to test out his new armor Perseus removed his old armor he got from training and tried on this new one. His first reaction was that it was heavier but in a more balanced way. Like it was heavy in place it needed to be but light in others. All in all it felt good.
Deciding to get some practice done Perseus took out his swords and walked over to a nearby scarecrow. He then spent the next ten minutes attack the scarecrow and learning the best possible motions his armor allowed him to make. He found that the motions felt more efficient since he made the armor specifically for his physique. Once he was comfortable with his armor he decided to get some sleep.
Instead of going to his room, where he knew Dan is, he went to his Masenfu’s room. And after checking if he wasn’t there crashed down onto his bed and fell asleep anticipating the match in a few hours.
-----------------------------------------------
“Uhh what time is it? Oh no the match starts in 10 minutes,” said Perseus as he grabbed his gear and ran to the track.
He reached the track in a few minutes and ran to the instructor.
“I thought you were going have to forfeit,” said the instructor in a worried voice.
“Sorry instructor Grant,” said Perseus apologizing.
“Don’t worry about it but any longer and you would have caused a riot,” said Instructor Grant with an amused expression.
“Huh,” said Perseus confused.
“Look over there,” said Instructor Grant as he pointed to the large stand of people waiting for the match to begin.
Perseus looked in the direction of the stands and saw hundreds of people talking and shouting.
“Why are there so many people here,” said Perseus shocked.
“You used that large Killing Spirit attack and rumors spread fast of a knight with an unusual ability. Add to the fact that you are the idiot’s disciple a lot of people came to see if it was true,” said the instructor half accusing half playing.
“Why me,” Perseus asked to no one in particular.
“Hahah. Now enough talking we have to start the match,” said Instructor Grant as he led Perseus to the ring.
Perseus walked into the ring and stood in front of Dan who had arrived earlier. Dan was equipped with the regular equipment he always wore and a sword and shield.
“Hey Perseus took your time, huh,” said Dan.
“Yea sorry about that I slept in, but look at this armor I made,” said Perseus showing Dan his new armor.
“Wow it looks cool but it won’t stop me from beating you,” said Dan with confidence.
“Heh, we’ll see won’t we,” replied Perseus.
“Alright I am going to announce the rules of the match. First the ring has been designed so that if your life goes below 10% you will be teleported out and lose. Second the only way for someone to lose is if you are teleported out or one of you surrenders. Do both combatants agree to the terms,” asked Instructor Grant.
After a nod from both Perseus and Dan the instructor continued.
“Then ready your weapons and steel your hearts. The match begins in 10”
“9”
Perseus and Dan both took out their weapons.
“8”
Perseus was scrutinizing Dan up and down.
“7”
He noticed that Dan was wearing the same armor he always wore but his sword and shield were different.
“6”
The sword was long sword the same as always it just felt different.
“5”
It was as if the sword was stronger or harder.
“4”
He felt the same thing with the shield as he had with the sword.
“3”
Whatever it was Perseus was going to be cautious.
“2”
Perseus and Dan both took their fighting stances.
“1”
“Fight”
At the signal both Dan and Perseus rushed toward each other meeting in the middle of the field.
Perseus brought both his claymores in a dual vertical slash. He followed it up with a diagonal slash from his right claymore. Dan however had blocked the first series of attacks with his shield and then redirected the diagonal slash. Dan then counterattacked Perseus aiming for his stomach. Perseus quickly sidestepped to avoid the attack and slashed with his claymore. Dan once again blocked and slashed back at Perseus. The two of them were making the best of their foot work and were moving around the arena at a rapid pace, the control of the fight never staying with either of them. Perseus and Dan continued like this going back and forth between attack and defense. Both of them were taking small hits. There fight was drawing oohs and ahhs from the crowd who were not expecting such a good fight from squires.
After 10 minutes of fighting in this pattern both Perseus and Dan stopped moving and looked at each other.
“Hey Dan I think it’s time we fight seriously,” said Perseus with a smirk.
“Yeah I was thinking the same thing it’s been getting kind of boring,” said Dan agreeing.
The crowd didn’t understand what they were talking about and thought they were fighting full force from the beginning. The truth was both of them were holding back in different ways. Perseus wasn’t using his full strength/speed or his Killing Spirit techniques. And Dan wasn’t using any of the spells that made him a White Order knight candidate.
‘Sigh these two finally get serious. They have been testing each other long enough. The real match starts now,’ thought Instructor Grant with a small smile on his face. He was proud of the two squires he trained.
Dan’s blade became coated with fire and his shield took on a brown glow. He rushed Perseus and when it seemed like he was about to get a hit on Perseus he jumped back with speed surpassing that of what he had shown until now.
“So you’re that fast,” said Dan with the surprise on his face evident.
“Yes, without using my skills that is roughly my maximum speed. By the way how long can you keep that glowing mana sucking thing for,” said Perseus.
“About 20 more seconds,” replied Dan.
“Then let’s finish it before it ends,” Perseus said finally.
“Okay then,” said Dan agreeing.
This time Perseus rushed towards Dan and began slashing in combination attacks using both swords at the same time. It was the same thing he used against Drake only this time it was faster, courtesy of his new armor. The new armor allowed him to move in a more efficient way than his previous armor. And because of that his speed improved. Dan however could keep up with Perseus’s speed and blocked with his extra strong shield even responding with a few attacks of his own. What surprised Perseus more than the fact that Dan could block his attacks was that his sword and shield could take all the hits from his heavier Claymores.
“I knew there was something off about your weapons, you enchanted them to withstand a large loss of durability right,” said Perseus with realization on his face.
“Aww you figured out already? That’s not fair you know most of my abilities but I haven’t seen yours yet,” said Dan
“Oh if you want to see my mine sure,” replied Perseus willing to comply with Dan’s request.
“Activate KS,” whispered Perseus.
With the activation of his Killing Spirit techniques he gained the Black-red glow again as well as a drastic increase in speed and power. He renewed his attacks with greater speed and began pressuring Dan. Dan understanding that he would make a mistake if he dragged this any longer slammed his shield into the ground and yelled, “EARTH WAVE”
The attack caused a tremor in the ground and caught Perseus off guard he stumbled backwards while Dan prepared an attack. Dan’s blade was gathering electricity and was giving off sparks. Dan wanted to end this in one blow and Perseus was happy to comply. He began gathering his Killing Spirit into his right Claymore.
“KILLING SPIRIT/ ELECTRO,” shouted Perseus and Dan as they ran towards each other.
“BURST/BLAST,” they yelled as their blades collided resulting in a massive shockwave.
The entire arena was quite everyone was in their seats in anticipation even the instructor. When the dust settled both Dan and Perseus were still standing but panting like dogs.
“Hmph I guess you win Perseus, I concede,” said Dan as he sheathed his sword.
“What,” said Perseus in disbelief.
The audiences were just as shocked as Perseus they couldn’t believe that after that amazing fight how Dan could just concede like that.
“You know why. Don’t think I didn’t notice. When our swords crossed you brought your other sword to my throat but stopped because you didn’t want to hurt me, right? In fact I noticed you give up many chances to kill me,” replied Dan with a knowing expression on his face.
The audience was shocked that something like that happened during the match. There were many high-ranking knights in the audience and they couldn’t believe that they didn’t notice something like that happen in front of them.
“I guess you noticed but if it makes you feel better I didn’t hold back because you were my friend, I only held back because I thought I would be arrested for killing a fellow squire,” said Perseus sheepishly.
“You do know I will just resurrect in 4 days right,” said Dan laughing at his friends foolishness.
“Oh yea maybe I should have killed you,” said Perseus as he too laughed.
The audience was shocked again, this time for an entirely different reason. They couldn’t believe how easy going both of them were in that life or death situation or how easily they talked about killing each other. Even players in the audience couldn’t hold back their shock.
“Ladies and gents it looks like we have our winner, Perseus. Let’s give a round of applause for our two fighters. They showed us a marvelous fight today,” said Instructor Grant as he showed the biggest smile Perseus had ever seen him have.
The audience forgot about their shock and started clapping vigorously for both of them. Perseus and Dan exited the arena together with the instructor.
“Perseus are you ready for the test, we will start in 2 hours,” said Instructor Grant.
“What already, I just finished the fight with Dan,” replied Perseus with a tired expression.
“Yes but the kingdom is short on people know and we really need to knight the two of you to increase the number of knight we have. The only way to knight you is if you finish the test. So you are going to do it in an hour and while you do the test Dan will be knighted,” explained Instructor Grant.
“Okay, fine, I am going to my room to rest where should I come for the test,” said Perseus.
“Come to the royal castle and tell them who you are they will let you in,” said Instructor Grant as he and Dan were leaving.
“Okay I am off to bed for now,” said Perseus as he made his way to his shared quarters.
