Upon signing in Percy is taken aback by the great expanse of white, stretching as far as the eye can see. Shortly after appearing, a disembodied female voice which sounds as if it is coming from everywhere but nowhere at the same time greets Percy.
-The scan on your iris and vein has determined that you are an unregistered user. Do you want to create a new account?-
“Yes” Percy replied firmly.
-Select the name of your avatar-
‘Hmm, now what should I name myself, should I use my usual game name or change it for something else. For all my planning I failed to think up an avatar name. I hate how I forget minor details.’
While, Percy continues to internally berate myself. The female voice asks again -Select the name of your avatar-
‘Oh whatever I’ll just use the usual name’
“Perseus” (Yes that’s the ancient Greek demigod who accomplished all manner of deeds worthy of being called badass [pardon the language])

“Male!” Percy had no need for a debate this is none optional. ‘I do wonder though what would happen If I was female, like what would happen to…….’ Before Percy can continue this train of thought he is pulled from his thought from the voice again.
- Royal Road has forty-nine races. You may select your race from the primary twenty-nine races currently made available to you. –
“Human,” The human race is the most balanced race to start with and for my plan to work I need to be a human.

Percy had thought long and hard about this before logging in this was the one of the few parts of creating his character that he had actually prepared for. “Change my eye color to orange with a crimson red tint, increase height by 4 inches and make my hair scraggy and spiky, please.”

A screen pops up to show Percy what he looks like. Standing tall was 6 foot 2, scraggy, spiked up haired young man with eyes of orange and crimson red dressed with basic gear of a beginner.
‘I look AWESOME.’
“Yes, these changes are to my liking”

-Welcome to Royal Road, would you like to read the tutorial?-
“Uh, yes.”
A window pops up and Percy begins reading the tutorial. He had researched a lot about Royal Road, but was hoping that he would learn something new from reading the tutorial, sadly nothing new was there.
Having finished reading the tutorial I attempted to begin the game but for some reason, the voice didn’t respond anymore.
Ten minutes later, ‘I wonder if I broke the voice’, then a different voice talks it’s male and seems to be human.
“Hello, there new user you have been in the character creation area for a while now, is everything alright?” the voice inquired.
“No I’m not sure, I think I broke the voice somehow, I finished the creation and then she asked me if I wanted to read the tutorial and I said yes and read it. Now she won’t respond and I can’t login.”
For a while there is silence then…..“Oh so that’s what happened, you see it’s a little funny,” he says giggling “ you didn’t break her, the game producers didn’t think that anyone would read the instructions so, they never programmed what to do if someone read them,” he finally says then starts another fit of giggles.

“What, then what am I supposed to do,” I ask with the thought that I may be stuck like this.
“It’s alright ill log you in, oh and my superiors told me that to thank you for finding a bug in the game, and also so you keep quiet, there is a surprise for you when you login.” He says giggling every now and then in between.
“Great” ‘Now I wonder if I can actually play the game now I wasted about an hour of game time here. My vision then goes blank and I disappear from the great white expanse I was in a moment before.’
When a player first starts Royal Road they have to start out in a Capital or Major city. Perseus chose one such city in the western part of the continent, or a citadel to be specific, The Citadel of Serabourg in the Rosenheim Kingdom. With a flash of light Perseus appeared at a busy town square. The square as bustling with people trying to get past and to avoid being trampled Perseus made his way to an unoccupied bench and sat down.

'As i thought my stats are pitiful, but that gift the company gave me is quite good i have a higher chance of finding stronger mobs to fight. Alright time to begin the plan.'
After a final look at his stats Perseus got up and made his way to the training hall. After looking for a bit he found who he was looking for,the instructor. Walking towards the the tall Orc, who had just finished telling off a man for trying to pick up girls in his hall, the only thing on his mind was don't kill me.
"Greetings honorable instructor"
"Greetings Traveler, have you come to train in this hall "
"Yes, sir my goal is to become a knight and to prepare my self i wish to take part in training here, and if I may be so bold request the honorable instructor if he would know any knight looking for an apprentice."
"So you want to be a knight, eh? Alright you look like a good young man, respect your elders too. I have a friend whose been looking for an apprentice for awhile but most quite within a week. So how about it want me to write a letter of recommendation?"
"Yes please honorable instructor"
"Now my friend is out on a quest and wont be back until the end of the week, so until then I will train your basic fitness." The instructor added that last bit with a smile, that sent shivers down Perseus's back. Little did Perseus know that he should have trusted his instincts as he would come to regret this part of his plan.
"Yes, sir"
He lead Perseus to a back room he had for more intense training
"Well lets begin"
