Chapter 19: The Final Showdown Pt. 2

Chapter 19: The Final Showdown Pt. 2

Sarah stared at Harrington for a few seconds, swallowing her spit, before she spoke. "Why did you stay in your office, and left us all out there to die?" She asked, trying to calm her nerves. "I wasn't going to die in you all's place. You're just an employee, I can get more of those," he said coldly. Sarah blinked in shock, "Wow I can't believe he actually said that," Sarah said to herself. "Let me just cut to the chase," Sarah said, trying to contain her anger. "Why did the downtown savages storm into your office, looking for you?" Sarah asked. "Well, my gang, the black syndicate, has been having issues with the downtown savages for years. We have been trying to take each other out for a very long time," Harrington said, leaning back in his chair, and blowing out smoke.

Sarah leaned forward and stared at him. "Are you trying to bullshit me?" Sarah asked. "Whatever do you mean?" He grinned. "Cut the shit Harrington. I don't need a trip down memory lane, just answer my fucking question," Sarah said, slamming her fist against the table. "Whoa, calm down now. There is no need for violence," he said jokingly. "You think this is a game," Sarah asked, squinting at him. "No, but I do enjoy fucking with you," Harrington said laughing. "You know what... fuck this, I'm leaving," Sarah said, slamming her hands down on the table, and getting up to leave.

Eli cursed under his breath. "I can't let her leave, I'm way too close to achieving my dreams. I can't let her slip away," Eli said, as he inched closer to them, slowly coming out the side of the pillar behind them and cocking his gun. "Ight Sarah. I'll tell you the truth," Harrington said, as he yelled out to her. Sarah stopped in her tracks, smirked, and turned back around, she then proceeded to walk back to the table and sit down. Eli breathed a sigh of relief, as he slowly retreated back to his hiding spot. "I guess I can tell her truth, it's not like she is going to live to tell someone else anyway," Harrington said to himself, as he smiled. Harrington's plan the whole time was to kill Sarah, as soon as he met up with her, that was the only reason he even agreed to meet.

"Sarah is a loose end that needs to be handled, before it's too late," Harrington thought. "I'm listening," Sarah said, snapping Harrington out of his thoughts. "The reason that the downtown savages stormed my office to kill me was beca-" "because they wanted to take over your business, blah blah, yea yea I know all that," Sarah said, cutting him off. "No, that was the lie I told you," Harrington stated. Sarah looked at him confused, as Eli also stood there listening in shock, because that was also what he was told as well. "The real reason for all of this was because Sal wanted to get revenge on Dominic, the leader of the downtown savages," Harrington said, as he puffed on his cigar. "WHAT!!" Sarah said, as Eli jaw dropped, "So Sal has been a rat all along," Eli whispered.

"What do you mean?!" Sarah asked, confused. "Sal came to me a week prior to the incident, and told me that Dom was the one who killed my mother and brother a year ago," Harrington said, as he clutched his fist. "Why would he do that?" Sarah asked. "Sal told me that he was only doing this because Dom planned to back door him on a deal that would have paid him 100 million dollars and then some," Harrington explained. "Sal and Dom had a drug deal, and its return profit would have been 100 million dollars, if not more after they flip it. But Dom," he paused, as he took a long drag off his cigar and blew out smoke. " Dom had a meeting with their drug connect and told them to cut Sal out of the deal. Fortunately, the dealer was really cool with Sal, and informed him on what was going on," Harrington added. "So he teamed up with you to storm your office?" Sarah asked, even more confused than before.

Harrington laughed, "are you even listening? No, he teamed up with me, to take down Dom. The reason they stormed my building is because Dom had already set that plan in motion, Sal was just warning me about it. Dom's plan was to have them come into my office, kill me and any who ever else was there that day, so he could take over my gang and be their new leader," Harrington stated. "So you knew the whole time that they were going to do this, and you let me kill..." Sarah paused, trying to hold back the vomit that threatened to come out. "Well no one expected for you to do what you did. You were just my secretary, who would have thought you had that in you," Harrington laughed. Sarah snapped, "I'm a wanted murderer because of you!" She screamed. "All this time you knew that they were going to do that. You knew that they were going to kill us anyway, because "no witness right." You... you..," Sarah started to stutter, as she pulled out her concealed pistol, and pointed it at Harrington's head.

Harrington stared down the barrel of the gun, and looked up at Sarah. "So I see we are resorting to violence," he said with his hands up, as he dropped his cigar and creepily grinned at her. Sarah hit him with the but of her gun. Harrington laughed, as he turned to spit out some blood, along with his tooth, on to the ground. "My life was turned upside down, all because of you. You put my life and everyone's lives in danger, for what!!!!" Sarah yelled. "Sarah calm down," Harrington said, with his hands up. "Calm down?" Sarah said psychotically. "You want me to calm down, after I've been on the run for months, almost died, god knows how many times, and killed people to survive, all due to your little beef you had with some street thug," Sarah stated, as she started to laugh, like a crazed maniac.

Harrington stared at Sarah in astonishment, "I guess I made her break," he said to himself, as he laughed. Eli laughed silently to himself, " I guess this bitch has truly lost it," he whispered. "I should just blow your brains out right now," Sarah said, as she pressed the gun harder against his skull. "What's stopping you," Harrington said, unfazed. "Because I have some more questions before I do," Sarah said, as she smiled down at him. "So what was the plan between you and Sal? Hm?" Sarah asked. "The plan was for Sal to let me and my men into Dom's hideout and take him out, along with his family. Once we were done, Sal would become the new leader of DTS, and we would have a business working relationship moving forward. He was also going to give me half of the 100 million dollars he was going to receive," Harrington said, as he laughed. "Also Sal is dead, so there is no way for the plan to work now."

"Sal is dead?" Sarah said questioningly. "Yes, he died over a month or so ago, and Dom was the one to kill him," Harrington stated. "Interesting," Sarah said to herself. "So what was supposed to truly happen, that day they stormed the office?" Sarah asked. "Sal and his man were supposed to come in, kill all of the employees, use you as leverage to get me out of the office, and when you couldn't, they were supposed to kill you. Once everyone was dead, Sal was going to kill off his own men, and we were going to sneak out the hidden passageway in my office. Sal was then supposed to go to Dom, and tell him that the takeover didn't go as planned, and I got away. That following night, me and my men were supposed to storm his hideout and family's house, and kill all of them one by one. Unfortunately, because of you, that didn't happen," Harrington explained.

"Because of me!!!" Sarah yelled. "Yes, because of you, Sarah. Had you not done what you did, the employees wouldn't have escaped and alerted the police, and I wouldn't be in this fucking position right now," Harrington said through gritted teeth. "Why couldn't you just stick with the plan and kill Dom?" Sarah asked. "Because you almost killed Sal in the process, causing him to believe that I lied to him,"Harrington stated. "Hmm, that's unfortunate," Sarah said coldly. "Unfortunate?! Bitch I lost out on 50 million dollars, and the chance to kill my worst enemy because of you," he barked at her. "Then we should be even then," Sarah said, as she laughed. "I'm going to kill you," Harrington stated calmly. "I'd like to see you try," Sarah said with a smile.

"I've heard enough," Eli said under his breath, as he slowly walked out from behind the pillar. Eli cocked his gun and began shooting. Just as Eli let off the first shot, Sarah immediately ducked behind the table, barely managing to move out the way, as the bullet grazed the side of her face and ear. Sarah flipped the steel table up and used it as a shield against the gun fire, pushing Harrington back. "What the fuck is this?" She said to Harrington. "I don't know what's going on, he isn't one of my men," Harrington said confused. Sarah returned fire, grazing Eli's left arm. "Shit that hurts," Eli said, ducking back behind a pillar. As the gun fire stopped, Sarah ran over to hide behind one of the other pillars. "Shots fired, it's time for you to come in," Sarah said to the others through the device, as she turned to shoot at Eli.

Johnson and his men, Jack, and the police officers, all got out of their cars and headed towards the building. Jack signaled for them to split up. Detective James and his team went to the back of the building, while Jack and his team went to the front. As James and his team entered through the back, they could see Eli shooting towards Sarah. They quickly entered the building, guns drawn, as they quietly approached Eli. "Drop your weapon," Jones said, as he pressed his gun to the back of Eli's head. Eli froze, as he dropped his gun and threw his hands up. "Arrest him," Jones says, as he steps to the side, gun still pointed at Eli's head, and allows the other officers to place him in handcuffs. "If I let them take me in, I'm as good as dead," Eli said to himself. Eli waited for the police officer to place one of the cuffs around his wrist, before he rammed the back of his head into the cops nose. The cop immediately grabbed his bleeding nose, while backing away in the process.

Eli then took the other cuff, wrapping his fingers around the inside and got into a fighting stance. Eli proceeded to turn around and kick one of the officers in the head, as he punched another in the jaw with the cuff. Jones moved to the side of Eli and punched him. Eli jumped back, holding his side, as he tried to shake off the pain. Jones inched closer and swung at him. Eli moved to the left, dodging his hit, as he hopped from side to side like a boxer. Jones and Eli both go back and forth with punches and kicks. "Damn this little boy is good," Jones said to himself, as he wiped the blood from his mouth. Eli turned and roundhouse kicked Jones in his temple, causing his body to go stiff and hit the floor. "Bitch," Eli said, as he spit on Jones and walked over his sleeping body. As Eli walked back towards where the other officers were, he fell to the ground, and screamed in pain.

Harrington came from behind the table, to see police officers storming the back of the building. "Let me get the fuck outta here," he said, as he ran towards the front door. Just as Harrington opened the door, he was met with men in military uniforms and guns pointed at him. "Where do you think you're going?" Jack said, smiling at him. "Fuck," Harrington said, as he raised his hands up. Jack and his team proceeded to arrest him and placed him in the back of the car. Jack quickly ran into the building to get Sarah. As soon as Jack entered the building, he could see Eli on the floor screaming in pain, as James stood over him. "What happened here?" Jack said, as he saw police laid out all over the floor. "Where is Sarah?" Jack asked. "I'm right here Jack," Sarah said, as she came from behind the pillar. "What happened here?" Jack asked her. "To be honest, I don't know. One minute I was grilling Harrington on what happened, and the next that little boy came out of nowhere, guns blasting," Sarah explained.

"Is he one of Harrington's men?" Jack asked. "According to Harrington he is not," Sarah stated. "James are you alright?" Jack yelled out. "I'm fine, but this disrespectful motherfucka right here, needs to be dealt with," James said, as he stood over a screaming Eli. James kicked Eli onto his stomach, as he cuffed him, pressing his knee deep into Eli's wound. "He was holding his own against all of our men, including Jones, but he got a lucky shot and knocked him out. Then to add insult to injury, he spit on him, and walked over him like he was trash," James says, as he kicks him in the face. Both Jack and Sarah ran over to James to hold him back from killing Eli. "Calm down man. You can't kill him," Jack said, as he pulled James away. Sarah walked over to Eli, kneeling down to see his face, "who are you?" Sarah asked. Unfortunately the question fell on deaf ears, as Eli was knocked out cold, by James's kick.

"How did he get injured?" Jack asked, as he and James exited the building. "I shot that bitch," James said, shouting. "He's lucky you came when you did, because I would have killed him," James said, his words seething with rage. Sarah came out of the building, walking up to James and Jack, "we need to get an ambulance here to make sure our men are ok," Sarah said, as she approached them. "James, how about you call them, so you can go and cool down," Sarah said. James huffed, as he turned to go call for help. "Are you okay?" Jack asked. "I'm fine, the bullet only grazed my ear and face," Sarah said. Jack gently turned her face to the side to see the cut, "you sure?" He asked. "Yes I'm sure," Sarah said, as she took his hand and laughed softly. "The ambulance should be here in a few minutes," James said, as he walked up. "Good, once that little boy gets checked out and cleared to be released, our men will come and bring him to our interrogation building," Sarah said.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

"Why there? What's wrong with our interrogation room? And what about Harrington?" James asked. "Harrington will be going to that building as well, and the reason we are taking them both there, is because we can brutally torture them, without any repercussions," Sarah said coldly, as she walked away. James looked over at Jack, as he blinked in astonishment. Jack patted James on the shoulder, as he walked away. "Can you have your men take him to the interrogation building," Sarah said, as she walked up to Johnson. "Take Harrington to the interrogation building," Johnson immediately said over his radio. "On it sir," one of his men responded back. "You good?" Johnson asked. "Yea, just drained from today," Sarah replied. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call me," Johnson said. "Thank you Johnson," Sarah said. "I'll head back with Jack, you can go on ahead if you want to," Sarah says. "You sure?" "Yes I'm sure, I'll see you at the building in a few," Sarah said, as she smiled at him. "Okay see you soon," Johnson said, as he walked over to his car.

It took the ambulances almost 30 minutes to get to them. "Shit it's about time," James said. "Follow me I'll show you the way, James said, as the EMT got out of the car. "He has a broken nose, he might have a fractured jaw, he was kicked in the head and hit the concrete floor very hard," James said, as he escorted the EMT's over to everyone that needed help. "What about him," one of the EMT's questioned, pointing at Eli, who was still passed out on the ground. James bit his tongue as he sighed, "he needs help too I guess," James said coldly, as he walked off to check on his partner. All the EMT's got to work in providing everyone medical assistance. "He is going to need to go to the hospital," the EMT said, as he pointed at Eli. "Why?" James asked agitated. "Because we need to treat his gunshot wou-" "Fine you do that," James said, as cut him off and shooed him away.

The EMT's rushed Eli and Jones to the hospital to treat their injuries. "I'm going to head to the hospital to make sure my partner is okay," James said to Jack and Sarah, as he headed to his car. "Let's head to the government building and see if Harrington is willing to talk," Jack said, as he and Sarah got in the car and drove off. When Jack and Sarah finally arrived at the building, they exited the car, and immediately met up with Johnson and Director Birmingham. "Is he saying anything?" Sarah asked, as she looked at Harrington through the two way mirror. "No, he said he would only speak to you," Johnson said. "Aye did you ever find out who that boy is?" Johnson asked. "No, but I have a feeling he belongs to Harrington's rival gang," Sarah said, as she exited the room.

At the hospital Eli was rushed into surgery, to treat the gunshot wound to his left leg. "I'm here to check on my partner Jones Richardson," James said to the nurse. "Let me check on that for you," the nurse said. "Mr. Richardson is currently in imaging, but you can wait in his room until he gets back," the nurse stated. "What room is he in?" James asked. "He is room 109," the nurse stated. "Thank you," James said, as he walked away. James entered Jones's room and sat down in the corner. It was about 30 minutes before Jones came back from imaging. "Is he okay?" James immediately asked, as they wheeled Jones back into the room. "He is okay, he just has a bad concussion. We didn't see any life threatening or altering damage on his brain scans, but we are going to keep him here for observation, to make sure there aren't any lingering issues," the doctor explained. "Thank you doctor. Is there a reason he is still unconscious?" "Since there aren't any issues, he should be awake soon," the doctor said as he left.

When Eli finally woke up, all he could see was blinding bright lights. "Am I dead?" Eli said, as he tried to wake up. "No, you are in the hospital. You were shot, but thankfully it wasn't a serious injury. We were able to remove the bullet and sow you back up," the nurse said, as Eli turned to look at her. "When can I leave?" Eli asked. "In a day or so, we just want to make sure there aren't any issues like internal bleeding or something else," the nurse said, as she adjusted his IV bag before leaving. As soon as the nurse left, Eli tried to get up to leave the room, but was immediately yanked back down by the handcuffs around his left hand. "Shit!" Eli said, as he looked down at his left hand, to see it be cuffed to the bed. Eli slowly scooted to the edge of the bed, making sure not to put any strain on the cuffs, as he looked out the hospital door's window. When Eli looked out the window, he could see two police officers stationed outside of his room. "Fuck! This is some bullshit," Eli silently shouted.

Eli looked around the hospital room, to see if there was anything he could use to help him get out of those handcuffs. "Ain't shit in here," Eli said, as he plopped back down onto the bed. Just as Eli got back into the bed, his room door opened. "I see you're awake," James said, as he walked over to Eli's bed. "What?! You came here to kill me?" Eli asked. "Nope, I got something far much worse in store for you," James said, with a sinister grin. Eli's eyes widened, "what do you plan on doing to me?" Eli asked concerned. "You'll soon find out," James said, as he walked over to Eli and injected something into his IV. "What the fuck did you pu-" Eli tried to say before he passed out. James pulled out his phone to call Sarah. "That boy is ready to be transported," James said, as soon as the call connected. "Good. Our men should already be there waiting. What room are you in, so I can send them your way," Sarah replied. "I'm in room 210," James stated. "Okay they should be there in few," Sarah said. "I would like to be the one to interrogate him," James added.

"Let me check to see if that is okay. One second," Sarah said, as she placed the call on hold. Sarah came back a few minutes later, "the director said it's fine, but you will need to be blindfolded, as you can't know the location of this building," Sarah stated. "That's fine," James said. "Okay I'll let them know you will be coming too," Sarah said, as she hung up the phone. Just a few seconds later, two extremely buff men walked through the door with a wheelchair. The men walked in and showed their badges to James to identify themselves. James picked up Eli's limp body and put him in the wheelchair. "Okay let's go," one of the men said, as they rolled Eli out the room. Once they got to the blacked out truck, they placed Eli face down in the back seat. As soon as James got into the car, they put a bag over his head, along with noise canceling headphones.

Once they finally arrived at the secret building, one of the guards ushered James into the building, while the other guard carried Eli into one of the interrogation rooms. The guard took James to where Sarah was sitting, before removing the bag off his head, along with the headphones. It took a few seconds for James's eyes to adjust, after the bag came off. "Hey James." "Hey Sarah." "That boy you brought in is still knocked out, but you can watch him through the two way mirror in that room right there," Sarah said as she pointed at the door. "Thank you Sarah for this. I really appreciate it," James said. "No problem," Sarah said. James walked into the room, closing the door behind him, and sat down in the chair and waited for Eli to finally come to.

"Where am I?" Eli said groggily, as he rubbed his eyes. Eli leaned back in his chair, to check out his surroundings. "What is this place?" Eli asked himself. "I see someone is awake," James said, as he entered the room. "What is this place?" Eli asked. "Well that all depends on you. This could be either your burial site or your redemption journey. The choice is yours," James said, as he grinned at Eli menacingly. "Now, who are you and what were you doing at that building today?" James asked. Eli looked at James, but didn't dare to speak a word. "Okay. I guess you want this place to be your coffin," James said, as he exited the room. Eli panicked, as he tried to figure a way out of there. "Shit I need to get out of here," Eli said to himself, as he tried to quickly devise an escape plan. Just as Eli was trying to plan his exit strategy, James walked in with the foulest and evilest smile Eli has ever seen.

James brought in a small dresser. "What the fuck is that?," Eli questioned. "You'll about to see," James said pressing a button, and every torture tool you could think of, emerged. "Now let's get down to business," James says with an evil laugh. "What are you planning to do to me?" Eli said, as his heart raced. "You know that's a great question- I guess we will find out together," James said, as he picked up a wrench, tossing it back and forth in his hands. James slowly walked over to Eli, swinging the wrench. James took Eli's left hand and held it down, as he lifted the wrench up to smash Eli's fingers. "Wait.. wait.. wait, I'll talk," Eli said. "Really?!" James said excitedly, as he lowered the wrench. "Yes," Eli said, as he slowly relaxed a bit, letting out a sigh of relief. "Welp, too late," James said, as he slammed the wrench onto Eli's fingers and knuckles with all his might. Eli screamed out in agony. "What the fuck man! I said I would talk," Eli shouted. "And I said..... it was too late," James said, as he slammed the wrench down onto Eli's right hand.

Eli high-pitched screamed, "oh my fuck god!!! Someone help me," Eli yelled. "No one and I mean no one is coming to your rescue," James said, as he hawked a loogie in Eli's face, that came from the pits of his soul. "Who's the bitch now?" James said to Eli, as he snapped his fingers backwards. Eli silently screamed, as he squirmed in his chair. James spit traveled down Eli's face like a teardrop, landing in his open mouth, as he yelled in pain. Eli immediately projectile vomited all over the table, as James fell out laughing. James picked himself up off the floor, holding his stomach, as he laughed. James walked over to Eli and punched him in the face, as hard as he could, breaking his nose. Eli twitched as he struggled against his cuffs. "This man is going to kill me," Eli thought to himself.

Back in the other interrogation room, Harrington sat in his chair, patiently waiting for Sarah. "This should be interesting," he said to himself. Sarah finally walked into the room and sat down. "What more is there to talk about?" Sarah asked. "I don't believe I gotta finish what I was saying," Harrington said with a smile. "I've heard enough. Unless you want to tell me where your gang is hiding, I don't want to hear it," Sarah said, as she got up to leave. "I can tell you where Dominic and his men are hiding," Harrington said. Sarah stopped in her tracks and turned around. "I don't believe that would be necessary, as we already have that information," Sarah said, as she placed her hands on the table and leaned in closer to Harrington. "I guess you don't need my help then," he smiled. Sarah turned to leave, stopping at the opening of the door. "Oh and I don't need you to tell me your location of your hideout either, because that boy across the way was kind enough to give it to me," Sarah said, as she exited the room with a smile. Harrington tried to chase after, but was yanked back down by his restraints. "AAAAHHHHHHH," he screamed.

Eli passed out from the pain and woke up an hour later. "Good morning sleepy head," James said, as he smiled at Eli. Eli jumped back at how close James was to his face. "Damn! So this wasn't a dream," Eli said, as he silently cried. "Now let's try this again, and don't even think about lying," James said. "Who are you?" James asked. "I'm Elijah Turk, but you could just call me Eli. I am a member of the downtown savages, but I was ordered to infiltrate the black syndicate to gather information on Harrington," Eli said, as he breathed through his mouth. "Why were you there today?" James asked. "I followed Harrington so I could kill him and bring him back to my boss Dom, but that didn't go as planned," Eli explained. "Where is Harrington's hideout and Dom's hideout?" James asked. Eli hesitated, as he couldn't bring himself to give up the locations.

"Okay," James said, as he walked back over to the torture tools, and picked up a teeth extractor. James walked over to Eli, as he stared in horror. James put Eli in a slight choke hold, as he leaned his head back to open his mouth. James grabbed one of Eli's molars and pulled on it. "Ahhhhh,"Eli screamed, "Ight I'll tell you. Harrington location is 345 black tree st and the DTS's location is 456 w howe rd," Eli said. James aggressively let go of Eli's head. "If you're lying I'm going to kill, and that's not a threat, it's a promise," James said, as he exited the room to call his chief. "They are on 345 black tree st and 456 w howe rd," James quickly said. "I'll send some of our men over there," the chief said. I'll ask Sarah to send some of her men as well," James said, as he hung up the phone. "Hey Sarah, can you send some of your men to these locations?" James asked, as he walked up to her.

"Sure what are these locations?" Sarah asked. These are both the hideout locations for the black syndicate and the downtown savages," James said. "Yea I can do that for you," Sarah said, as she pulled out her phone to make a call. "Please split your men up, and send some to one location and some to the other," Sarah said to Johnson. "On it," Johnson replied, before hanging up. After every one was ready, they headed out to the different locations.
