School a place of learning, a place where adult youths spend their time congregating in flocks, discussing the latest trends and hobbies, which class they have, don’t have, what they plan to do later on in the day for fun, and theirs all ways that rare bit of information that gets learnt in actual lessons, sinking into some people’s heads, to the greater relief of the teachers the world over.
So far Alan’s day had been anything but fun ‘i never appreciated how many doors this place had’ he thought to himself as he was forced to wait yet again for someone to remember to hold the door open for him so he could get through, the day had started nicely with the ride to school in the car, he had actually looked forward to school this morning his mood was quickly turning sour ‘if i attach a ram to the side of the chair i could in theory get up enough speed to knock these doors down,’ he thought while trying to open the door from his chair, ‘ill discuses it with dad later,’ “no he’ll probably just laugh.” He muttered.
“Who will laugh?” a girls voice asked from behind him.
“It’s nothing don’t worry about it.” Alan said without turning around before he realised that he was being spoken to.
“Alan good morning,” a new male voice sounded above him making him freeze. He knew the voice well it was his history teacher, and standing next to him was the school idol, he looked at them meekly knowing that awkward questions were going to be asked, about lessons and how his recovery was going and then the dreaded one homework.
“So who’s laughing?” the school idol asked, tilting her head,
“It's nothing i was just mumbling to myself do you mind?” Alan asked.
“I don’t mind you talking to yourself,” she replied innocently.
Alan quickly put his head in his hands as the teacher laughed.
“He meant, do you mind opening the doors for him,”
“Ow I’m so sorry, sorry.” The most popular girl in school said almost crying in embarrassment.
“Thank you,” Alan said not knowing what to say embarrassing the school idol would probably earn him some more enemy’s to go along with the doors, once people found out about this incident. Alan was about to go through the doors when then the teacher asked the question he was expecting in the beginning, “Alan while were here, have you finished all your assignments, that you missed?”
“As it happens sir, i finished them three doors back,” Alan replied taking out papers from his bag and handing them over.
“So you did, is there anymore doors we can open for you?” He asked quickly going through the sheets,
“No i’ll be fine i only have to go in there.” Alan replied pointing to his homeroom.

Homeroom was allot more fun, as Alan was able to understand what most of his friends were saying in regard to royal road, it was no longer gibberish to him ‘well most of it,’ he thought to himself, it was what a female friend that sat next to him leaned over and whispered, “so you started playing then?” that got him embarrassed
“How did you know?” Alan whispered back.
“Your attitude has changed slightly and your paying attention to what’s being said.” She replied smiling
“Any pointers would help?”
“Just go at your own pace is what i suggest?”
“My own pace hmm.”
“To start with at least”
“Thanks and keep this quiet for now please.”
“Sure on one condition when you get to level 100 look me up.”
“If i get that far, i will.”
“Good morning class” a female voice spoke up from the front of the room as students started to sit in their seats the teacher had arrived.
Registration took no more than fifteen minutes, at the end Alan started to look forward to the lessons for that day he would only have to spend one hour in the library as today’s lessons were mostly on the ground floor.
As the students began to relax the teacher spoke up again, “Before you all go, you should be aware that those of you studying English, maths, social science’s and physics on the ground floor will be moved to the second floor for the next two month as the rooms are being renovated.
!!! Alan sat their dumb founded.
“Ehh miss why,” a student at the front of class asked concerned.
“The rooms in question are due to be fitted with capsules,” the teacher replied smiling, as everyone in the room went quiet all thinking the same thing and throwing each other knowing glances the school would finally get royal road.

“GOING UPSTAIRS SHOULD BE FUN,” Alan said biting down on his anger, at the stupidity of the school, his voice wasn’t load but it still carried to the corners of the room silencing all the mutterings that had started.
“I TAKE IT SOME ONES GOING TO VOLENTER TO CARRY ME AND A WELCHAIR UPSTAIRS AND DOWN AGAIN, ANYONE NO VOLENTERS SHOCKING, I DONT SUPPOSE ANYONE THOUGHT ABOUT WHERE I WOULD BE ABLE TO DO LESSONS.” Alan said shouting at the end.
“Ermm” the teacher started.
“DONT BOTHER ILL GO TO THE LIBARY CAN SOME ONE AT LEAST TAKE NOTES FOR ME PLEASE,” he said moving himself away from his desk and towards the door. He reached the door before anyone could move at his outburst, “WELL DONT JUST STAND THEIR OPEN THE DOOR FOR ME THEIR NOT AUTOMATIC YOU KNOW.” He snapped at the teacher again as she quickly rushed over to open the door not knowing what else she could possibly do, as the room started muttering behind him. Only two voices sounded out louder than anyone both almost said the same thing he’s right.
****
Ten minutes later he found himself in the library in front of one of the many computers typing away his anger at the so called learning experience the school was so proud of.
He composed ten letters, seven of which were mild statements of fact to his course teachers, informing them that he would be in the library if they needed him, and that they were to send him all the course work and assignments that he needed.
The next three were trickier to compose as they had to be more official one was to the student council, they would probably get told about today’s incidents and want an explanation, the other to the head of the school listing all the difficulties he faced now on a daily bases, while threatening him that Off-stead would here about the lack of disabled access.
The third was a very diplomatic message to Off-stead explaining his situation the difficulties faced right down to the small details. He then printed off a copy of all the letters making three copies of the letter to Off-stead. It took him two hours before he was able to leave the Library heading in the direction of the reception desk, at the front hall.
He didn’t get far however before a male voice called out to him.
“Hi Alan long time no see” the voice said.
“Ow it’s you, so they sent the deputy of the council to see what’s gone wrong”
“Now is that anyway to speak to a friend.”
“Those still exist Hu” Alan replied keeping the bitterness out of his voice
“I know things were bad but”
“You have no idea, look I’m sorry i have business to take care of in fact, deliver these to the student council would you, and open some doors for me so i can get to reception, you can read it on the way.” Alan said handing him the letter for the student council and a copy of the one heading for Off-stead.
After two doors the deputy looked at Alan in shock “you have to put up with this, I’m not surprised you snapped at a teacher, hmm where are the other letters going,” he asked
“These are for teachers informing them that i will be forever shut in the library since i can’t stay at home. The other three, two are going to the head the other to Off-stead’ I’m not pulling any more punches” Alan said.
“Do me a favour as a long time friend don’t send it yet, let the head think you’ve sent it, the student council as been wanting to get back at the head for some time now, and this is perfect, give me three days, then send it, go home for today, i’ll pick up all the piece’s you’ve thrown around,”
“What good will that do?”
“Allot trust me.”
“Fine three days if things have not changed by then I’m posting it.”
“You won’t regret it, give me the rest of those letters, ill see they get there they need to go, and ill ring you in three days time, go and play Royal road for three days the council will cover for you.”
“Good idea !!! wait how do you know i play?”
“Your sister told me.”
