“(Run!)”
Jiro immediately took to the sky and jetted towards the immortal cave.
“After them!” Yan Mu Shouted.
Aside from the original two guards, there were now two more individuals who donned on the robes of the Yan clan.
They immediately responded to the order and hoped on to their flying swords.
Jiro flew much slower now than before after Relic toke half of his strength. It had only taken a few moments for the four individuals to catch up and block any escape routes.
“Give yourself up Relic you have no chance against all of us.” A large man with several scars on his face spoke out.
“Then what? Isn’t your master just going to kill us?” Relic countenance was dark.
“Capture them all! The boy and girl I will deal with later. “Yan Mu appeared below and said. He continued, “Beast, return to me and I promise I won’t invoke any punishment.”
Jiro gave Yan Mu a cold piercing stare. The first time he was captured, he had no choice but to serve this arrogant young master. However, now that they were in this situation, he would rather die than to serve him again!
Jiro responded with an ear deafening roar.
A vein appeared on Yan Mu’s head.
“Then so be it! Kill the beast!” he ordered
In that same moment everyone was preoccupied with Yan Mu’s speech, Relic retrieved out a paper seal he bought previously. He threw it out and a blinding light flashed out.
Ding
Everyone covered their eyes to the bright light. When their eyes readjusted, Jiro and the two children had already flown out of the group of guards and were near approaching the edge of the mountain.
“Petty trick.” One of them said.
“What are you idiots doing don’t let them near the cave!” Yan Mu angrily shouted out.
Yan Mu’s Uncle had already told Yan Mu previously that the Mayor of this town had an immortal cave on the side of the mountain. Yan Mu quickly surmised Jiro were trying to get there.
The group of guards immediately gave chase, not allowing Jiro to even think about heading towards the side of the mountain.
…
“Hana, I need you to do exactly as I say.” Relic said in a hurried voice. He retrieved out the ring he got from killing Tang Wu previously and placed it in Hana’s hand. “This is a spatial ring activated with qi energy. I need you to circulate your qi into the ring. Remember, it is all about the intent. Will the spatial ring to open for you.”
As they were now, Relic and Jiro stood no chance against the group of guards. They were all using flying swords indicating that they were at least foundation realm cultivators. Relic also didn’t have any means of communicating with the Mayor. He didn’t know why the Mayor had yet to show up but his only choice now was to hope there was something in Tang Wu’s spatial ring.
Hana nodded and did exactly as her brother said. She had seen these situations so many times these past few days that it no longer affected her as much as it did previously.
Hana began to focus her qi, carefully guiding a bit of it towards the spatial ring.
“I opened it!”
Regularly, newer cultivators would need several attempts to inject some qi into items but to Hana, she could get it on the first try.
“Good!” Relic wasn’t even astonished anymore and immediately peered inside the open spatial ring and searched through all the items. His eyes immediately landed on a three paper seals which had the characters ‘Attack’ on them.
He immediately retrieved the items from the spatial ring and stood on top of Jiro. “Hana, no matter what, stay on Jiro.”
Hana nodded.
The four guards continued to chase.

“They’re mine!” A female guard said with a malicious grin as she summoned out her sword.
“Careful, he is more cunning than he looks!” The scarred man shouted.
However, the female guard did not even think anything about it. They were against two children and a broken spirit beast. How much danger could these three pose?
“Accelerate!”
The flying sword beneath her feet lit up with lines of energy. She shot past the other three guards and was instantly within striking distance of Jiro. This flying sword was obviously a speed type flying sword.
She saw Relic facing her as he stood on top of Jiro. “Oh, do you want to fight me? Courageous, but foolish!” She lifted her sword up, ready to strike down.
Relic immediately bent down his knees and launched himself towards the speeding women.
“Wha…”
The two bodies collided and the female guard fell off her flying sword, plummeting towards the ground with Relic.
“Brother!” Hana screamed out.
“Jasmine! Dammit! You two continue chasing those two. I’ll go get Jasmine.” The scarred guard said. He immediately changed his direction towards the falling pair.
…
“Damn brat, let go of me!” Jasmine, the female guard, grinded her teeth.
She was completely caught off guard with Relics attack. They were over a 1000m in the sky. Who would think someone would be so suicidal to jump off their only form of flying?
Relic used his element of surprise to quickly get in position to lock in her joints. She quickly found that she could not move much less swing her sword towards Relic.
As they continued to fall the female guard began to panic and perspire intensely. They fell from a height around 1000m. Even a person as strong as a foundation realm expert would die if they fell from this height without any bumper. She at least had some treasures that would cushion her fall but as their bodies picked up speed, the treasures would lose their effectiveness.
“F*ck you! Are you intending for us die together?” She tried to struggle out of his hold but Relic would not budge an inch. He had completely locked her joints. Even if she was twice as strong as him, she would still be unable to break free.
The two continued to fall down and were soon at the half way point of the mountain.
“Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!” Jamine continued to panic. Every second passing was a step further towards their death. She couldn’t believe she would die like this!
“Jasmine!” The scarred man could be seen right behind them.
“Captain!” She yelled. “Save me!”
The scarred man immediately slashed his sword towards Relic’s back. However, Relic was prepared and quickly swerved the female top side.
The scarred man immediately stopped his attack and grumbled. “Fine, then I guess I will just save both of you!” He extended his hand in order to grab on to Jasmines cloths, essentially saving both of their lives.
At this point, the two had already been falling for a couple of seconds and were now a third of the mountain away from the ground.
“This should do…” Relic, who had not spoken the entire time, finally spoke.
He swerved himself back topside and released his lock on her. He placed his feet on her back and pushed off. The force of his stomp propelled her down faster than before.
“Quick grab my hand!” The scarred man immediately rushed towards Jasmine and extended his hand.
Jasmine extended her arm out when she suddenly saw Relic with a paper seal in his hand. Her eyes focused on the paper seal and saw Relic throw it out. For a brief moment, she could see that ‘Attack’ characters on the paper seal.
“Get away!” She shouted.
The paper seal flew through the air for a brief moment before bursting into a giant ball of fire. It shot towards Jasmine who was still falling mid-air and incapable of dodging.
“Not enough!” The scarred man immediately reacted. He endowed his sword with the essence of fire, making it match the heat of the giant fire ball. “Come!”
The two forces clashed and a wave of intense heat spread from all sides.
It didn’t take long for the scarred man to gain an upper hand. The fire ball gave way and was sliced in half by the man.
He then turned back to Jasmine, when suddenly, a bolt of lightning zipped past him.
This attack was much faster than the ball of fire. Even if the scarred man was to chase after it right now, he would still not make it in time to reach it before it reached Jasmine.
Jasmine saw the attack coming her way and immediately held out her sword in front of her. She weaker than the scarred man and was not able to endow her weapon to protect her like it did for the scarred man. However, she tried her best and infused her qi into her weapon.
Booom!
The bolt of lightning struck against the sword in the woman’s hand. The surging power filled the weapon with the essence of lightning. It battled with the qi energy coming from the woman. However, her strength wasn’t enough and it soon gave way to the power of the lightning bolt.
The lightning surged through her weapon and into her body.
“AHHHHHH!” She groaned in pain. Her body spasmed from the lightning coursing through her body; her skin quickly charred and her hair burned off.
Only after a brief moment did the attack finally subside and she fell as a smoking body.
The scarred man finally caught up and caught the charred body in his arms.
Jasmine was barely breathing. She wasn’t quite dead but even if she lived, her body was permanently scarred from the burns and she would take years to recover. She opened her dry eyes with a look of pain towards the scarred man. She made indistinguishable noises but the man quickly hushed her up.
“Don’t talk, take this pill.” He retrieved out a pill and lifted it towards her mouth. It was obvious the scarred man had some sort of relationship with Jasmine as he gave her a caring gaze.
The pill was just about to enter her mouth when suddenly…
Puchi…
A spear swooshed through the air above and penetrated her head. She instantly died in the arms of the scarred man.
Relic spared no time in finishing off the woman. Immediately after, he took out Six identical paper seals.
He dived down towards the ground with every two seconds; he would activate one of the paper seals which shot out a blast of air, cushioning his descent.
He quickly touched the forest ground and stared intensely at the scarred man whom also slowly descended to the ground.
The scarred man gently laid down his female companion and as his hands let go of her body, a murderous intent radiated from his body.
His sword instantly engulfed in flames and he stared murderously at Relic.
“You’re dead!”
