Back in the immortal cave, Relic was holding Hana’s unconscious body in his arms.
“Why did she have such a large reaction to cultivating.” he muttered.
The process of guiding the heavenly thread was supposed to be a painless and memorable experience for new cultivators. However, when the Heavenly thread entered Hana’s body, her body immediately collapsed and she began to writhe in pain.
Relic was helpless to help her at that point and could only be by her side as she guided the heavenly thread herself.
“Is she alright?” Diana asked, concerned.
“I hope so.” He replied.
Even Jiro, who was putting up a face, sat not too far from Hana.
Suddenly, a faint glow of light encapsulated Hana and she began to levitate upwards.
“Wha…” they all stared in shock.
A light tremor shook the mountain followed by the ring of three harmonious bells.
“What’s going on?!”
Almost immediately after, Relic felt a tingling feeling throughout his body. He could feel his body strengthening and being more refined.
A look of shock was transparent on his face as he realized what was happening. “A divine blessing!”
Fwoosh!
The light surrounding Hana’s body took form and collected towards her forehead where it formed a 12 petal lotus made of light. The lotus only stayed for a brief period before entering into Hana’s forehead and disappearing.
“A true successor!” Diana and Relic said simultaneously.
Hana slowly descended and opened her eyes to the stares of shock of everyone.
“W-what’s the matter?” she asked hesitantly.
“Hana, how do you feel?!” Relic rushed up and asked.
Hana stared at her own hands which now seemed to be a bit more firm and filled with strength. She clenched her fists and said, “Great! I didn’t realize cultivation was going to be so painful at first but it was all worth it!”
Relic gave Hana a wry smile.
“Congratulations, you are now a Cultivator!” He patted her head.
Hana no longer viewed Relic as a younger brother but as her older brother. The praise of her brother brought about a beautiful smile. “Thanks!”
Relic suddenly noticed the two stiff stares on Jiro and Diana’s faces. The appearance of a true successor had just shaken them that much.
“(Please tell Diana not to say anything. I’d prefer if Hana didn’t know the details of her situation and figured them out by herself.)” He told Jiro.
Jiro and Diana had a quick conversation and nodded before returning to their original posts.
“A true successor huh… ” Relic couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hana, it’s time for your second lecture.” He said.
“Yes!” Hana obeyed and sat back down on the floor.
A scholarly aura suddenly radiated from Relic as he began to give Hana a detailed lecture on the basics of cultivation. She would soon learn that cultivation was less exciting than she had anticipated.
…
At this moment, surrounding the base of the mountain, were many cultivators searching frantically through the forest.
“A Divine blessing! I never thought I would ever be able to witness one in my life time!” one of the cultivators said as they scouted the forest on their flying sword.
“The Divine blessing covered the entirety of the mountain and several km past it as well. It must have been a heavenly treasure that showed up! I definitely must find it first.” Another muttered to himself.
Divine blessings were only heard in legends! NO one knew specifically what conditions had to be met in order for a Divine Blessing to occur but every time, a heavenly treasure was soon found after the appearance of one!
Even the Yan family were not exempt in the search as they made their way towards the forest in an arrogant manner.
“You rift rafts, get out of the way!” Yan Mu roared at the other cultivators as he rode on top of a flying spirit beast. Followed closely by many other members of the Yan family and his uncle.
Cornelius was soon the only cultivator left on Heaven’s Peak and was currently assessing the situation.
He looked at his own body which looked a bit more refined than before. “Amazing, I’ve never heard of a divine blessing affecting people!” He also only heard of stories where divine blessings show up with the location of a heavenly treasure. The divine blessing would affect the land near the treasure, causing the land to burst with Qi energy.

He quickly looked at the faces of his people who were chattering about. It was quite obvious that they too felt the effects of the divine blessing and were now talking with one another.
He couldn’t help but put a smile. “It’s a sign the heavens don’t want this place to be destroyed!” Having relayed his instruction to his sworn brother, Cornelius now felt like his town was safe from any dangers. He had decided to let go of contesting for the heavenly treasure. While he would probably be able to snatch it up, it would bring a lot more trouble than it was worth. He had to think of his citizens after all.
The joyous mood of his citizens seemed to have affected him as he soon joined in their conversation and laughed merrily with them.
Afterwards, he flew towards the edge of Heaven’s peak and looked town at the forest below. The entire mountain was now oozing with qi energy, perfect for cultivating. “Perhaps I should open a school here.” He mused.
Suddenly, another rumbling shook the entire mountain!
“What is happening now?!” He frowned.
The shaking did not just affect the mountain this time, even the forest grounds began to shake. Many of the spirit beasts carried expressions of fear as they fled for their lives away from Heaven’s Peak.
The clouds shifted and spiraled in the sky.
AS a golden world cultivator, Cornelius was capable of sensing the movement of Qi energy in the air.
He could see the large quantities of qi energy surrounding Heaven’s peak begin to spiral towards the middle of the mountain.
All the cultivators stopped what they were doing and turned the attention back towards the mountain.
“No wonder we couldn’t find any treasure. The heavenly treasure is in the mountain!” One of them shouted as they charged towards the mountain.
The cultivator’s all had frantic looks on their faces as they rushed back towards the mountain.
Cornelius followed the path of the qi energy was taking and realised it was all heading towards the area of his immortal cave. “Impossible, what could possibly have happened to be able to move such tremendous amounts of qi energy?!”
He quickly called for his dog beasts and headed towards his immortal cave.
However, before he arrived, he could already see several cultivators outside of his immortal cave who were trying to break the formation array that was protecting the entrance.
“Hold your hand! You are all trespassing on my property!” Cornelius let out a angry shout.
Noticing Cornelius’ presence, the cultivators stopped what they were doing but all of them were in a battle stance. It seemed they were all prepared to fight for whatever was inside.
“Mayor of Heaven’s Peak, we all know the heavenly treasure in inside this mountain. What right do you have to stop us from retrieving it?!” One strong man carrying a great sword shouted.
“Yea!” all of them nodded.
“This is my immortal cave! Obviously, whatever is inside is mine! Even if a heavenly treasure appeared inside, it would still be considered mine!” He spoke furiously. In front of a heavenly treasure, logic could not be applied to any one of them.
“That is not correct Mr. Mayor.” A calm, elderly voice suddenly sounded.
“Mr.Yan…”
Yan Wen appeared and spoke aloofly, “Your Heaven’s Peak has been around for more than two centuries. In all of that time, never once had an event as spectacular as this ever happened to this town.”
Everyone nodded their heads.
“The fact that a divine blessing suddenly appearing means anyone of us could be the reason it had appeared!”
“That’s right! It must be my innate talent which brought forth the divine blessing and the heavens have decided to reward me!” one of them shouted.
“What?! I was born on the ninth day of the ninth month. On the day of my birth, I was blessed with a tear of a dragon as it flew past me. Obviously the divine blessing was for me!” another one said.
One by one, outrageous claims came from the hundreds of cultivators who now stood in front of the immortal cave.
“Mr. Mayor, I think it only conscionable for us to share the heavenly treasure amongst us all.” Yan Wen spoke righteously.
A vein popped out of Cornelius’ head as a murderous aura shrouded his body.
A cold smile appeared across his face. “It seems you have all forgotten who you are speaking to.”
The pressure of a golden world cultivator descended upon all of the cultivators. Immediately, many of the foundation realm cultivators dropped from their flying swords and crashed onto the ground. Weaker cultivators dropped to the floor and couldn’t move or even breathe.
The many cultivators were now all immobilized except for Yan Wen, the owner of Heaven’s Treasure, and one other cultivator who had was the man carrying the great sword.
“Hmph with just this you expect to stop me?!” The man with the great sword spoke. He turned to Yan Wen and the owner of Heaven’s Treasure, “Brothers, Help me take down this arrogant mayor and we will split the treasure just between us!”
Before Yan Wen or The owner could speak, the man took out a dazzling stone in the shape of a shell.
“A myriad sun stone!” They both shouted.
The man crushed the stone in his hands. Within seconds, his body erupted with explosive fire essence.
He proceeded to speak the words of incantation, “With the essence of Fire, under the heavens, come forth, the force of the fire Dao!”
His body burst into grandiose flames! His entire body transformed into a 3m tall flame giant! The heat radiating from his body was so hot it began to set the forest on fire. The ground beneath his feet melted and bubbled into Lava.
The man took up his great sword and charged towards Cornelius without any hesitation.
Cornelius did not move and looked at the man charging towards him with disdain. He took out a slender sword and held it over his head.
The sword swirled with the essence of wind.
“Foolish.” He said as he sliced his sword downwards.
A sharp wind blade shot from the sword and sliced across the flaming man. In but an instant, the flames on the man’s body extinguished. His eye’s bulging at what just happened. “H-how…could…it….” The man split into two halves before he could finish his sentence.
At that moment, everyone paled as they stared at the fearsome mayor. The very same mayor that would normally look like just a regular mortal now seemed like a demon!
The crowd of cultivators all got on their knees as they begged for forgiveness.
“Mercy, please!”
“We didn’t know any better. I promise I will never do anything like this again!”
“I swear on the heavens I meant no harm!”
Cornelius looked at them with a murderous gaze before retracting the pressure.
“From this day forth, you are all banned from this town!”
The cultivators on the floor all had a look of relief as they thanked the mayor for not killing them.
Cornelius then turned to Yan Wen.
“Mr. Yan, I believe you have overstayed your welcome here. Please pack up your things and leave by tonight!” He spoke solemnly.
Yan Wen was also pale with freight after having witnessing the extent of Cornelius strength. He could only nod and take his people quickly back to their residence. At his point, the heavenly treasure was the least of his worries.
Cornelius then turned to the owner of Heaven’s Treasure. “Mr. Chow, this is strike one.”
The owner could only nod and headed back up towards his store.
After a few moments, there was no one left in front of the immortal cave.
Cornelius sighed and was just about to head in when a terrifying pressure enveloped the entire mountain.
The pressure wasn’t as vicious or powerful as the one Cornelius put on those cultivators but it carried a sense of emptiness with it. It was enough to even make Cornelius dazed for a brief moment before he gained clarity and understood exactly what it was.
“A-an abyss constitution!”
