Within the center of the black mist there were two people. One was a man holding a woman in his arms.
“Master, there is a beautiful ocean not far from here. I believe we can catch the sun set if we go now. Would you like to go?”
“The women was weak but gave a light nod.”
The man, seemingly unaffected by the black mist, shot out of the black mist and headed towards the vast ocean.
Relic flew with sadness in his eyes. His veins throbbed with black blood which could be visible seen across his body. His hair was now as white as snow. In his arms, was Pascal who also had black throbbing veins across her body. Although no one could notice, there was a thin layer of energy surrounding her which protected her from the mist.
The two made their way towards the vast blue ocean. Pascal, who laid in his arms, remained motionless. Her eyes barely opened. If not for her will power, they would have shut down a long time ago.
“Master is very selfish, even to ask you to join her in death.” She spoke weakly.
Stolen story; please report.
“Anywhere where master goes, disciple will follow.” He said unhesitant.
The two watched the sun set across the horizon.
At this moment his feet had frost on them that was slowly inching up his body.
The two remained silent during the entire scene.
With the remaining of her strength, she opened her mouth once more.
“Will you listen to master’s last request?”
“Anything”
“If we meet in the next life and I am still a women and you are still a man, will you come and find me and marry me?” Every word turned softer and softer.
“Of Course”
“….Thank…you…” her hands dropped as the last remaining life force disappeared.
“ Master, where ever I am…. I will watch over you for all eternity!” tears fell from his eyes as he stared passionately at her face.
He turned his head to the direction of a city in which a wandering doctor and his unruly daughter had once taken up residence.
“Teacher…Ren… I will leave this life less than a man who could not pay back his debts.”
He then turned to face back his master.
“But even so…I would rather die a dog’s death next to master than live even a day without her.”
The frost was now up to his neck and continued to slowly climb towards his face. However, he did not waiver and kept the same position so that he could stare at his master for all eternity.
The frost slowly encompassed them both and like that, the two would remain as immortal statues, forever entombed in ice.
The two ice statues dropped into the ocean where they slowly sank into the depths of the dark abyss.
