The 2nd Descendant of That Hell
The Mysterious Book and the Rude Fairy

The Mysterious Book and the Rude Fairy

After Shivam’s father left, he met his hostel roommate and tried to get a sense of the hostel environment. He quickly got an idea of what to do and what not to do in the hostel.

"Hey Shivam, come with me. A senior wants to meet you, and he might ask you to introduce yourself, so be prepared, okay?" A fellow classmate came to Shivam’s room and asked him to come along.

"Oh, I’m coming. What should I do if something goes wrong?" Shivam asked, nervousness evident in his voice.

"Don’t worry about anything. Just go and give a proper introduction and do whatever he asks you to do," his classmate reassured him.

"Are you sure everything is going to be fine?" Shivam asked nervously.

"Yeah, just come with me. If something happens, I’ll take care of it," his classmate said, leading the way.

"Hello, senior. Good evening," Shivam greeted his senior respectfully, trying to gauge the environment around him.

"Huh, you are?" the senior responded in an unfriendly tone.

"My name is Shivam, senior. I’m in the first year of the Summoning Magic Department," Shivam said with a small smile.

"Why are you smiling? Is there something wrong with your face or something?" the senior snapped rudely.

Shivam quickly understood the nature of his seniors and decided not to show any weakness. "Is there anything wrong with my smile, senior?" Shivam asked, maintaining eye contact.

The main senior, who had been silent until now, spoke up in a serious tone, "Ha ha ha ha, hey kid, are you trying to start a fight or something? Look, it’s your first year and first day, so I’m letting you off this time. But if you ever argue with me in the future, there will be consequences. So, watch your words next time." The atmosphere in the room became tense, and everyone felt immense pressure, as if they were carrying the weight of a mountain.

As the senior was threatening him, Shivam realized something strange in his mind. There was a book, at least 50,000 pages long, shining like the sun but with a shadow as dark as hell. Along with the book, there was a fairy, currently asleep. After this realization, Shivam went back to his room to investigate. He tried to open the book many times but failed.

Clank...

Swoosh!

Just as Shivam was about to give up on opening the book, the fairy emerged from his mind, rubbing her eyes like someone waking up after centuries of sleep. She looked beautiful and adorable, stretching her tiny body to fully awaken.

"Umm... who the hell are you? How dare you disturb me while I was sleeping? Don’t you want to live anymore?" the fairy said, disdain clear in her eyes.

"What are you even talking about? You are the one who came into my brain with this book that doesn’t even open. And now you come out of nowhere and try to threaten me? Just who or what are you?" Shivam asked, shocked and confused.

"Are you out of your mind? I was supposed to wake up when my master regains his full power and rules over all dimensions. Just what exactly are you? You are not my master for sure, then why do I sense his presence from you?" the fairy said, confusion evident in her voice and face.

The fairy suddenly had a flashback.

"Hey kid, what is your name?" the fairy asked.

"It’s Shivam," he replied, nodding.

"Now listen carefully, did you somehow go to the Dream Hell?" the fairy asked, inspecting Shivam like a test subject.

Shivam was shocked. He never expected anyone to ask about Dream Hell. He didn’t know much about it, but he suspected his recent dream might be related. "W-what are you talking about?"

"Don’t play dumb, okay? You definitely went to the DH; otherwise, this doesn’t make any sense," the fairy said, looking at Shivam as if she had discovered something interesting.

"Are you talking about the dream I had last night? Does it have anything to do with your Dream Hell or something?" Shivam asked, trying to keep his composure.

"What happened in your dream? Tell me every single detail," the fairy demanded seriously.

Shivam recounted everything about the dream, except for the sacrifice part.

The fairy listened with a smug expression, as if she knew he was hiding something. Surprisingly, she didn’t force Shivam to reveal more.

"Now that I’ve told you the whole story, it’s your turn. Who and what are you exactly?" Shivam asked, curious.

"This is none of your business," the fairy said before vanishing and reappearing in Shivam’s brain, falling into a deep sleep.

"Hey, tell me something about that dream at least..." Shivam started, but the fairy was already asleep.
