A New Chapter of Life Begins

A DAY LATER...

"Hey, are you still asleep? Wake up already! Do you want to be late on your first day of college?" Veer said, a mix of excitement and frustration on his face.

"Umm... ummm... w-what’s the time right now?" Shivam mumbled, still half-asleep.

"It’s 9:40," Veer said, checking his watch and showing it to Shivam.

"Whaaaaat... Why didn’t you wake me earlier?" Shivam asked, shock evident on his face.

"I tried, but you wouldn’t wake up. Now I’m late because of you. Do you have any idea how many girls are waiting for me at college right now?" Veer's frustration was evident, his fists clenched like he was ready to throttle Shivam.

"Dude, you’ve got issues. How do you expect to find girls in the Summoning Magic Department? You should’ve picked a different branch if you’re that desperate," Shivam mocked.

"Hey, don’t demotivate me, man. I mean, I know girls rarely choose SMD, but there is still a chance. And on the other hand, there are still other department freshers who will be joining the college along with us," Veer said with certainty.

"Yeah, yeah... whatever!" Shivam said, dismissing Veer's words.

After getting ready, Shivam and Veer started their new life journey with a fire in their hearts. They walked down the streets like famous generals returning from an intense battle. The moment they saw the main gate of the college, they felt like emperors gazing at their territory, pride and excitement shining in their eyes.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

"Hey, you bastards, step aside! Can’t you hear my car’s horn? Now step aside, or I will crush you under my wheels," a loud voice snapped them out of their daydream.

"Ahm ahmmm... sorry sir, we were just a bit excited and didn’t hear your horns. Again, sorry about that, sir," Veer said apologetically.

"IDIOTS!"

"Man, that guy definitely has anger issues or something," Shivam said, looking in the direction of the car.

"Yeah, man, you’re totally right this time... But look at the car, man. I bet whoever the owner is must be a 'MAHARATHI'. I mean, just look at the car. It’s perfect."

Explanation: In this world, magical powers are common, but there is a significant gap between the powers of individuals. Powers are classified as “ARDHARATHI”, “MAHARATHI”, “ATI-MAHARATHI”, and the most powerful, “MAHAMAHARATHI”. These classifications help understand someone's level. Before graduation, every student is considered a “RATHI”, the lowest rank. This title lasts until a person graduates from any magical college, at which point they receive their permanent ranking. A person can improve their ranking through cultivating and mastering their powers.

At the same time inside a car a cold voice came from the back sit to the driver “you shouldn’t have said those harsh words to those freshers.”

The driver nervously looked at the car’s front glasses and show a threatening ice blue eyes looking back at him like those eyes are enough to kill him anytime. “I am sorry my lady, I will apologize to them in person after dropping you to your class. Driver said nervously.

“Drop me at the principal’s office, I’ve some business to discuss with him.” The person at the back sit said to the driver in a cold voice.

The intense pressure driver was feeling finally disappears. And those ice blue eyes finally went to black again.

IN THE SUMMONING MAGIC DEPARTMENT...

A professor read through the list of students, calling them one by one for their Prana-Shakti test. "Shivam Sinha, roll 9, come to the testing platform."

Explanation: After entering the college, every student must complete their registration for regular classes.

"Complete your test by dropping a drop of your blood here. This will check the amount of Prana-Shakti you have in your body. But don’t get disappointed if you get a very low or a medium level of it. In fact, it will be a good thing for your future," the professor said to Shivam.

Explanation: The amount of Prana-Shakti doesn’t matter too much because power level is based primarily on knowledge and skills. It’s like having the power of the sun to light a cigarette: you need extreme power control to manage it without burning everything, whereas with just a normal flame, you only need a little focus. This means if you have low power but can use it efficiently, you can rank higher than those with superior powers who can’t control them. However, having too much Prana-Shakti requires a lot of concentration to control, reducing efficiency in actual tasks.
