Entry 5: Tabitha Ponders How to Dispose of Her Empty Soda Can
The pinked haired girl walked casually through the forest, a smile on her lips, the canopy filtered sun on her face. She brought her dwindling can of soda to her lips, finishing the carbonated beverage off. “Pizza. Soda. This forest isn’t all that bad actually.”
She held the red can in her right hand. No logo or wording shown on it. Tabitha had found it growing on a bush. “Now what do I do with it? Just tossing it aside would feel like littering.”
She held it up, examining it. On its bottom, she spied a recyclable symbol, but where could she find a recycle bin? She’d even settle for a regular old trash bin (would be much better than just throwing it on the forest floor).
Deciding to hold on to the can for now, she continued her trek through the forest. As she explored, she kept her brown eyes peeled for a suitable receptacle for the can. A while later, she came to a stop, almost dropping the can, her mouth open in awe.
“The City of the Lake. A locale of The Forest of No Return. I guess this place counts as part of the forest.”
Tabitha stood at the edge of a bizarre synthesis of city and lake. Cerulean buildings erupted from the lake’s surface in a beautiful architectural display. The sight of it took her breath away (such was its beauty).
“Maybe I can find a recycle bin here.”

Entry 6: If the Store Is Deserted, Who Is Giggling?
Tabitha pressed her empty soda can through the recycle bin’s flap. She stood in what looked to be a deserted convenience store. Underfoot, a school of fish swam, their forms visible due to the translucent nature of the flooring.
As the recycle bin’s flap clattered to a stop, a faint giggle brought a slight eep to the girl’s lips. She spun around, her brown eyes checking her surroundings, but she found no source for the sound.
“Was that just my imagination?” She jumped when the fluorescent lighting flickered, a second giggle happening in response. “I think someone’s watching me,” she worried, heading down an aisle towards the store’s exit.
Tabitha picked up speed, her shoes tapping rapidly on the translucent surface beneath her. She passed through the doorway, making it back outside. The pink haired girl skidded to a stop on the street (also translucent), rows of cerulean buildings on each side. She dropped to her knees, panting.
A giggle sounded just behind her. “Eek!” she screamed, her blood going cold. Fearfully, Tabitha twisted around, stumbling to her feet as she did so. Just a few feet away was a woman made of water.
“Water Nymph. You’re a Water Nymph?”
The watery girl nodded and giggled.
“That explains the giggling. Nice to meet you, Nymph.” Tabitha extended a hand, smiling.
Nymph stared at the pink haired girl’s outstretched hand for a moment, cocking her head to the side cutely. Slowly, she reached out, and the two girls shared a handshake.
