Watching penguin man run to the edge of the roof and try to jump to the next, I gasp. He missed. Struggling with the ledge of a window, He pulls himself onto the roof eventually. Panting, He looks at me in fear and keeps hobbling away. I swear, I did nothing to his feet! Watching him in amusement, I jump when the target’s body flops down next to me. Tapping it with my foot, Regius suddenly jumps out from behind me. Landing, roughly on the ground, Yue follows shortly after. Looking around, he raises an eyebrow, “Did you kill them all?” Pouting, I put on my best hurt expression, how could he not believe in me?
Answering in a dissatisfied tone, I say, “Of course not, they just all disappeared. The only one I know the location of is the flaming baldy. Everyone else just escaped. The baldy kept staring at me! Even with gravel in his eye and being smashed through a building, he wouldn’t give in! I just covered his face with a part of the street and left.” Pointing over the edge of the roof, I gesture towards the slab of asphalt. Sighing, Regius says, “Whatever, good job Winowna! You kept the superheroes away while I caught this guy.” Squeezing my shoulder slightly, he opens another portal. Letting me and Yue go in first, He drags the target back with him.
Looking around, I find myself back in Regius’s room. Greeting the maids, I watch as Regius puts the target on his bed face down and ties him up. Turning towards us, He says, “Winowna, could you take Yue to your room? She will be living in the room next to your’s for a bit.” Squinting at her, I gesture for her to follow me. Is she going to be a maid now? She did seem pretty useless otherwise. Maybe her strong hearing can help her hear me when I need her. Walking through the hallways I finally reach my room. As if by magic, another door was right next to mine. Gesturing towards the other door, I say, “Yue, your that’s your door.”
Watching her pull the door open only to reveal a smooth wall. There’s nothing behind the wall! Thinking back to the other world, I think of the elevator. Maybe this room is also in the wall. Gently ushering Yue out of the way, I punch the wall with my full strength. Recoiling in shock, I cradle my arm. Tearing up, I whimper,” It hurts. It hurts. Why didn’t the wall break?” Not understanding either, Yue bends down and rubs my back. Burying my head in her shoulder, I wipe my tears. Another byproduct of the worst aspect of being human, pain. Do other races also feel the same pain? Is their pain different? Dungeons most definitely don’t feel pain!

Wallowing in her shoulder, I feel a tap on my shoulder. Looking up I find the grisly face of the dark green-furred werewolf. Coughing, he offers me a dog shaped toy, “Here, I got it for you. It’s a dog shaped pillow.” Grabbing the pillow with my good hand, I hug it while burying my head in Yue’s shoulder. I now understand why Regius takes hugs so seriously. Just being in someone's proximity makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Too bad I can’t hug Yue, I can only hug Regius now. Maybe I’ll do that when I see him next. There has to be a different feeling between a male hug and a female hug right?
Tenderly laying my hurt hand on my knees, I wipe my tears. Looking up, I thank the werewolf before entering my room with Yue. I can’t believe the palace walls are so strong! Sitting on the bed, I nurse rock my hand back and forth. Making my mind up, I slowly walk into the bathroom and close the doors. Focusing on my hand, I restore it to the previous form. Flexing my hand with a smile, I open the bathroom doors and exit. Shuffling to the bed, I throw myself on it. It got softer every day! With the addition of the dog pillow, I now have seven pillows.
Suddenly remembering Yue is still in the room, I find her staring at me in shock. “Is your hand not hurting anymore?” she asks. Shrugging my shoulders, I lie, “My bones are really strong, my only weakness is pain!” Technically, my bones are certainly hard, and pain is my weakness. Not believing me, she switches subjects, “So, I’m guessing we’re not in the same country? Your partner did say that I could no longer live in the same country because of what we did.”
Chuckling, I open my mouth to tell her the truth when Regius barges into the room. Seeing that I’m fine, he visibly relaxes. Calming down, he says, ”Come to my room as soon as possible.” Taking a last look around my room, he stops at the dog shaped pillow before leaving. He definitely wants my new pillow! Slowly getting up, I gesture for Yue to stay quiet. Grabbing the dog pillow, I lift the mattress and stuff it under.
Adjusting the sheets and hiding the pillow completely, I stand satisfied. Making my way to Regius’ room, I pass a suspicious looking maid. I bet she’s going to try to steal my new pillow! Throwing a glare at her back, I enter his room. Standing by his desk, he turns around holding a wooden square. Scratching my ear, I start to stare at the object in his hand. I know it! It looks just like the picture I lost! “Yes, Winowna. This is your picture with Wilbur. I know who you are. In fact, I was the person that was supposed to pick you up. Who knew that you would just leave the pickup point?”
Nervously counting the number of fingers on my hand, I wait for him to yell at me. It’s what everyone does when they find out who I am. No one likes the dungeon called Winowna.
