“Step through Winowna, I’ll be right behind you,” Regius says tiredly. Looking at the dubious rip in the middle of the room, I approach it. Apparently, Regius is partly related to dimensional spiders. He’s the only one in his family who inherited the ability to control the ability to travel through dimensions. Poking my finger through the shimmering portal, I pull it back when it disappears into the portal.
Turning to Regius, I say, “The other side is cold, can I go wear some more layers?” Chuckling, he says, “It’s just the portal, the other side should be inside a building I own. Don’t worry, I’ll be right behind you. Blink and you’ll see me.” Taking his word for it, I hold my nose. Taking a deep breath, I jump through.
With a flash of coldness and the disorienting feeling of being stretched and then squished, My knees tremble as I suddenly land on a hard surface. Adjusting to the lack of light, I look around. I was in some kind of abandoned room. Cobwebs covering every corner while the windows were covered by thick drapes. Stepping towards the window, I reach for the corner of the drapes. Pulling them to the side, I peek outside. “Whoa” I mutter in awe. This place had huge buildings that all seemed to be changing colors. The rightmost building had some kind of cream being applied to a woman while the closest building seemed to be showing the local wildlife.
Smugly smiling, I conclude that the wildlife here isn’t a match for me. I mean, it looks like an oversized cat. What happens to the many rows of teeth and bulging muscles and flashing magic? Jumping at a sudden hand on my shoulder, I turn to see Regius looking at me quizzically, “What’s so interesting?” Excited pointing to the window, I say, ”The buildings here change colors! The one across from us even has low-level magical beasts on it!”
Walking towards the window he pulls the drape down and it rolls upward by itself! Sneaking next to Regius, I try to pull the drape down. Surprisingly, it seemed to just come out and go back into the cylinder at the top. Reaching up, I pull at the cylinder. As if it was just floating there, it just came off of its braces. Regius, looking surprised walks over to another drape and tries to pull it off. Only after a few moments of furious tugging and kicking off the wall did it pop off violently. Looking at me and back at his cylinder, he says, “Hey, Winowna? Do me a favor and kick that chair. Just enough to knock it over, yea?”
Staring at him, I ask, “Why?” It’s a chair, you shouldn’t be mean to chairs for no reason. You sit on them, stand on them, use them as weapons, and they normally come with pillows. They don’t do anything wrong. Sighing, he says, “I’ll get you a great pillow if you do it for me. Please?” Thinking about it, I walk over to the chair. Testing the chair I find nothing special about it. Looking at him and seeing his encouraging nod, I step away. Winding my foot back, I kick. “Wait, do it lightly!” he screams, but it was too late. The chair is practically obliterated and the far wall is filled with holes. Shocked I look at Regius, “What did you do?” As far as I know, humans can’t do that without extensive training. I would need to eat one to understand how to make a body that strong.

He looks at me helplessly and says, “This worlds laws operate differently. All humans have a chance at obtaining a power. It seems that you were given a power as you entered the world.”
Not satisfied with the chair I approach the table. Seeing me eagerly approaching the table he hurriedly says, “Wait! Please wait. Winowna, now is not the time. You can smash plenty of things later, for now, we need to find our target. Just keep quiet and follow me.”
Pouting I give the table a glare and leave it alone. I’ll break it after. Following him out the door, we stop in front of a metal plate. “Why are we waiting here?”, I ask. If staring at a plate helped him find the bad guy, I could probably rip it out and we could return to the room. “Just wait for it Winowna,” he tiredly exclaims. Offended at his attitude, I cross my arms and wait. Leaning against the wall next to the plate, I feel something grab my hand. Looking down I see some guy in red with a weird mustache. It extends off of his face in a straight line for a good twelve centimeters on either side before curling upward. Taking my hand, the creepy guy tastes it. Disgusted, I pull my hand away, only to see him smack into the wall. I guess he was holding my hand a little too tightly. Nudging the guy with my foot, he moans as he cries on the floor.
Looking at Regius for help, all I get is a mortified look. “It wasn’t on purpose, he was trying to eat my hand!” I justify. Nodding in disbelief, Regius just looks away. Waiting a bit, something rings out behind me. Hiding behind Regius I watch at the wall moves. The metal plate disappeared into the wall!
Watching Regius casually walk in, I hesitate before mimicking him. Walking with my arms out in an imposing manner, I walk up to the point where the plate was and examine the wall closer. The metal plate really is in there. Spooked, I get in the little room. Standing close to Regius, I watch as the plate seals the room and the room starts to make weird noises.
It reminds me of the time Wilbur tried to teach me how to whistle, I couldn’t do it no matter what he tried. At first, he tried to demonstrate for me. All I learned was how to spit at people in the most efficient way. You’ve got to gather a good amount of spit first. It has to be enough to offend the other person, but not so much that it lands on yourself. Then you puff out your cheeks and push your tongue out to your lips, not yet opening your lips. Finally, you let the pent up air spray your spit at your opponent. It works best as a slime though. After sticking his fingers in my mouth as well as giving me a whistle that I accidentally ate, he gave up.
