As I looked down from the final firework I saw madison lean in towards me and then we kissed. "That was amazing," she said to me. "Thank you I made a ring just for this moment.
"When you leave the outpost Im going to be sad." she said to me.
"Ill be right back I'm just going to talk to some people and buy some stuff and live in my old house," I said
She threw her arms over my shoulders and said "Im going to miss you that much."
"A kiss goodbye?" I asked
"Yes sir" she said while leaning in and giving me another kiss.
After that I turned and walked back to my house. The next day when I got up I headed for the gate. As soon as I arrived there I was greeted by grand elder.
"Im here to escort you" He said to me.
Back to the sandbar I go, I thought to myself. "Will you be escorting me the whole way?" I asked
"Yes, your to valuable to die. You are part of humanity hope to live off the sand bar." He said
"I hadn't thought of it that way I thought to myself." I guess I had made great contributions to the outpost. But my goal had never been build humanity up.
Grand elder seemed to see through my thought. "You've done a great deal to helo this outpost thrive. I hope you can return as soon as possible.
"Think of this as me taking a vacation," I said
"Okay then let's go, also I know that firework last night was you," Grand elder said.
"It was me, I went on a date," I said.
"If your looking for someone to go on a date with rose is single." he said "I already have someone but thank you," I said.
And with that we setoff down the path to the sandbar "Ill carry you if we come across any heartbeasts that are to dangerous." Grand elder said.

As we ran down the path together the forest to the left and right of us. I saw a bird fly above our heads it was blue and went very fast. That was the first heartbeat I had seen with traveling on this path. As we continued farther down grand elder got less nervous the closer we got to the sandbar the less danger we were in as the king heartbeasts lived deep in the forest. While we were almost there a deer ran across the trail in front of us. Luckily it was a ten year heartbeast and not really a threat. We continued on like normal. The death rate for this trail was very high that's why the outpost was always lacking people and people died in the forest while trying to gather food.
As soon as I saw the bridge back to the sandbar I celebrated we had made it and nothing had gone wrong. Grand elder stopped at the bridge and said "we're here this trip went better then I could have expected it."
"This is my home" I said to grand elder. "Make sure to come back quickly you always have a home with us" he said.
"I will there's a lot to see on the sand bar now that I can roam anywhere." I said
"Here take this" Grand elder said while handing me a bag of sea coins.
I wanted to stop him and give them back. But he said "What you have done for the outpost is priceless. "Take it I'm grateful for what you have done."
"Okay' I said as I grabbed the bag tightly. "While your here visit with the deep sea fisherman." he said to me.
"Yes I will" with a pat on the back I was off going down the ropebridge leading to the sand bar. By the time I arrived and looked back grand elder was already gone.
First things first back to my old house I still had the deed of sale. By the time I arrived at my home it was night. I pushed open the door and the silence that ensued was errie. This was where one of the saddest things in my life had happened I made my way back to my room. My house in the outpost was so much nicer. I had grass on my front lawn whereas here it was all dirt with a thin layer of dust on top of the compact soil.
I decided to sleep for the night. I crawled into my old bed and slept.
The next day when I came out I heard a familiar voice "Your back?" I knew who it was instantly.
"Yes and I came with a present" I said."What kind of present mister" she said.
"The mana kind let me feel your heart." I felt a hand lift mine and place it on a chest. With that done I poured mana into her chest. Soon I heard a thumping as her heart changed. She gave a little moan it seemed like it was painful. I instantly picked her up and laid her on a bed in my house and then went outside to keep accumulating mana.
It took about an hour for her to come out again and from her complexion, I could tell she was fine.
"Q arent you happy I did that for you? Now your father is going to like you even more." I said
"He is?" she asked doubtfully "I do feel different," she said to me.
"Let me feel your heart again?" I asked sincerely
"Okay last time," she said to me. She didn't want to go through that same experience again.
"Now it feels like I can stay invisible forever" I wondered what I had done. I knew I had jumpstarted her heart. She must have went from a mana consumer to a mana producer. This was great news for her. I wondered how her mana regrowth ring would work.
