The scenery raced behind the bard as his figures moved to strum his instrument.
With a stroke of a chord, a tune came out of his lips.
On this day we had some fun
Now we sing in the wagon on the run
I sat off sunspots behind him while he sang and danced. Each time the lights and bangs receeded new scenery would replace the old.
Everyone in the wagon went wild!
With a strum of a chord, he sang another verse.
The best song a bard did sing.
Was when a wagon gave him wings
And that he sing with a bunch of huns
With beautiful set of lights that even dazzled the sun.
The wagon took too the air and started to float upwards.
I had no idea what was going on but it seemed like a good time for a nap.
I hope my firework show had gained me a spot among the crew.
When I awoke I was in my bed with a throbbing headache I could really remember what had gone on last night.
Only that it had been super fun.
And I knew it was real because my head hurt so bad.
While brushing my teeth the bits of pieces seem to come back too me like tiny reflections on a broken mirror.
It made my head hurt even more.
As soon as I got out and walked into my kitchen to get some coffee I noticed something.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
Elder and cannon man were sitting at my table.
That was kind of odd I thought to myself as my coffee cup filled up.
I just sat down next to them and started sipping on my coffee like nothing happened.
And nothing did happen as far as my memory was concerned I couldn't remember a thing.
I sat there sipping my coffee in bliss when a question with a tone as cold as I ice came to me.
"How much mana did you use?"
I couldn't really recall so I just lifted up my arm to show him.
"Fool I don't keep track of your mana."
Cannon man sounded really mad but he was probably just jealous I got to go outside off the wall. Yes, that must be it, then the solution was to invite him.
"Hey, cannon man next time I can put in a good word for you and you can come with us."
My head hurt too bad to really see straight but I could tell that his face had turned red. He must be so happy all of his blood rushed to his face.
"You" he stood up. He must want to go to the tavern right now.
Elder stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.
"He's clearly not thinking straight right now. And before this, he's helped us out numerous times."
Cannon man stared at him with a ridiculous expression.
"This is just the biggest waste of humanity's potential. I sold my life away to stand at the gate every day for my family. But he just runs around the outpost drinking."
With a moment of clarity, I remember the one thing I could never forget.
"At least your family still alive," I said with a cold tone.
Both of there heads spun and stared at me but I just met there eyes with an empty gaze.
"Is that why your here at the outpost?" Elder asked
I didn't need to respond to this I just picked up my coffee and sipped.
"I'm not in the mood for this anymore." Cannon man stormed out.
Grand elder just followed him out.
He didn't even look back not that I cared my coffee tasted good.
I was still kind of drunk I could only think of ways too make better alcohol and have better times with my friends.
I spent the rest of the day sleeping in the sun.
I also drank some weird noodle soup that made me feel better.
The next day I was feeling more like myself man that night was wild.
I checked my mana looks like I had set off at least 200 mana worth of sunspots.
But I had gotten the hang of setting them off in a beautiful way.
Right at that time one of the memories from the previous night came back to me.
Everyone in the bumpy wagon was swinging and swaying with each other. The bard sang like it was the one thing in life he had to do. While my beautiful sunspots went off behind him creating an unreal scene.
If I didn't have to get revenge I would have made a bunch of ability rings related to alcohol and music.
When I went to change a piece of paper fell out of my undergarments.
How did that get there? I couldn't remember.
It read
"Come find me at the building next to the winery"
Bell
It must have been the girl that brought me on that wonderful adventure.
I was definitely going to go see her as soon as I appeased the elder`s anger.
Not like I cared about making cannon man mad. I thought with a chuckle.
