Isa went through the motions again, taking out one Kobold after another. Isa knew she could get through most of this dungeon without the new spells; thus, she didn't use them.
Once she reached the end of the dungeon, where she kept dying, she decided to try her new abilities. She threw out her hand and yelled, "Fast Bolt." Yelling this had the desired effect she was going for; the warrior type quickly unsheathed his sword; Isa was pretty sure it was a male and started running toward her. The bolt hit the warrior type right in the chest, and he sped up at Isa. She narrowly dodged and waited to see what was going to happen.
The warrior type crashed into the other shaman kobold and sliced pretty deep into it. Isa turned around and fired a slow bolt at the warrior. The warrior seemed to be moving in slow motion; Isa ran up and stabbed him in the eye and then the heart, or where she assumed the heart would be.
This dagger, being crudely made, made it so that it did tearing damage at the same time. The Kobold died. The shaman got up slowly but determined to finish this as quickly as it could… but then something happened; the Kobold brought out a knife it had and started running for Isa, but then it glitched, and the knife disappeared and reappeared in a reverse grip. Then the knife disappeared again, and both arms glitched, and the shaman held the knife in a position to stab its heart.
Then another glitch and the knife was embedded into the shaman's chest. Isa had no idea what was happening but assumed she had just completed the dungeon.
It turned out that wasn't the case. The whole cave went dark and got eerily silent. Isa heard a sound that could only be described in nightmares, the sound of churning blood. Then the lights turned back on, and the blood she heard was visible and in the form of a shaman kobold.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The blood lifted up the shaman Kobold's body and suffused itself with the body, just for a monstrous change to happen. The body started to dislocate and bulge. It kept growing and growing until it was about the size of 4 shamans put together. Everything settled down, and it opened its blood-red eyes and roared, "DEATH COMES FOR US ALL!"
Isa had no idea what had happened, but she was about to figure it out.
Meanwhile, in the real world…
Natilie finally found the server hub. As soon as she got onto it, it forced logged out of the profile that was up. She was okay with that; she hadn't been using company credentials to get into anything so far, so why would she need to change now? She hacked into the system quite elegantly as she saw it. Once she was in, she had it open up the NFC tag spot so that she could transfer the virus over to the server. Jax had asked her to delete him off the server so that he couldn't be traced, but Natalie had something else in mind. Something that could make her very, very rich.
Natalie planned on taking a small percentage of every microtransaction made in the game. Microtransactions were usually around $10 per transaction, and she would only take 50 cents out of that $10. What adds up quickly is how she was thinking of it.
Natilie flashed the tag over the receiver…. And nothing happened. And then, the server hub screen started glitching out, and all the lights shut down in the server room, if not the entire building. A couple of seconds went by, and then everything turned back on. Natalie turned toward the screen, and something popped up that shouldn't have happened; the screen read, "Death comes for us all."
Natalie decided it was time for her to disappear.
